ZURRGG Attacks The Wrong Beast

• • • • I got some from the logger for before the fight starts. Stonepaw is with Zinnia and then someone else comes to save the day....a certain old badger.. ****

Cayson is leaned against a tree off of the path. His longbow over his shoulder and his quiver of arrows on his back as he has an arrow in his paws, twirling it in his fingers as he waits for any word from his boss.

Zurrgg appears beside him "Cayson it seems I have gathered some interesting information on our-friend- Marek." With him is a rat who seems willing to speak to them. The rat steps forwards “I can tell ya some, guy threw me outta the tavern. I don’t like him none at all."

Cayson grins, “You could always join up. So do we know where he is boss?" He looks to Zurrgg now curious.

The rat looks between them and nods “He is the tavern owner, and has some office above the tavern. If he is not there he could be walking around the path or woods, he goes there at times usually alone or with some mole...so where is my reward for this info?"

Cayson rolls his eyes "That’s not much info at all really."

Zurrgg nods "Your reward......" He fires off the loaded crossbow and the bolt enters the rat's neck. The rat gurgles and falls over dead as the wildcat snorts “Now I am bored and the chieftain here seems to not want to give me any info at all, he must be a friend to him and friends usually die sooner or later or it could be he simply doesn't know. Either way he won’t get in the way , least right away"

Cayson nods, " Are we staying around Ferravale long sir?"

Zurrgg says, "Not long, my plan is fairly simple really...revenge"

Cayson twirls an arrow in his paw as he nods slowly" Shall I try and get some info from anyone sir?"

Zurrgg smiles coldly "If you like, but do remember it’s not just him I seek revenge on"

A short time later=

Cayson walks up the path slowly and stops by the tree scanning the path for any beasts in the area as he seems to wait.

Zurrgg has been in the area for a while " Any luck with information my friend?"

Cayson says, "Nothing yet of great value on Marek, it does seem there is info on other matters." The archer says, “It’s not only he who you see revenge on as you know sir""

Zurrgg says, "As that may be so, I do wish to find Marek, give him a message I am sure he will remember. So what is these...other matters Cayson?"

Zinnia has been walking since right after lunch, she had to find her Uncle as she had some questions and he usually in Ferravale, unknown to her he is not there but she doesn’t know that, or what has happen not too long ago.

Stonepaw meet up with the badger maid as he was on the road, "This Ferravale place does interest me lass, I mean a treaty with the abbey for a village that’s supposedly vermin? Is that safe?"

Cayson starts to answer his boss when he sees the badger maid, "It appears a visual clue has come to us...one of our helpers has told me a group was back from travels, it is the old badger’s niece back in the area."

Zurrgg studies the badger maid and smirks “Then we should welcome her back to Mossflower Cayson, I mean where are your manners?" He smiles coldly and steps onto the pathway right away aiming the crossbow at the badger maid. “Ahhhh let me welcome one of the Winters clan back to Mossflower with a gift." Yes a gift of death. He lets the loaded bolt fly towards the badger maid and he rarely misses, if at all, unless something gets in the way or she gets lucky to dodge this.

Stonepaw can move fairly quickly and he was slightly ahead of her, one he doesn't trust many places that’s not on water, he right away is going to roughly shove her away and at the same time gets in the way of that bolt. Pain right away is felt as it sinks into his shoulder blade, barely misses hitting a main blood line, but blood still does start to flow down his arm as he lets out a yell. The next moment he is stumbling to his knees and gasping in pain.

Zinnia just seems to freeze, the only thing that prevents the bolt from not entering her chest is the fact she is suddenly shoved to the ground and starting wide eyed at the bolt that’s hit Stonepaw, she quickly looks at the wildcat and starts to up "W..WHo are you? H..how do you know that clan name?"

Cayson gets an arrow loaded onto his longbow and takes aim,"You will not ask Lord Zurrgg any question it matters not."

Zurrgg narrows his eyes, he did not plan to miss, he smiles coldly “Its fine Cayson, I can answer questions. You can ask your Uncle he knows of me" He lowers the crossbow as he can only keep one loaded inside it and draws forth his twin blades, “Has he taught you to fight? Let us....test you "He doesn't give her a chance to reply, nor much time to move out of his way as he is already attacking.

Stonepaw tenses in pain and glares at the wildcat, he is not much a fighter himself but he will try "Lass..go..run" He has his daggers and he throws one now at the wildcat in hopes of slowing it down if anything else or get a lucky shot.

Zinnia gasps and quickly drops and rolls out of the way of the twin blades, one of them nicks her left ear leaving a couple drops of blood. She gives a quick look over to Stonepaw not sure what to do.

Cayson has not been ordered to fire off an arrow, but he stands ready for when he is told to.

Zurrgg growls as he misses the badger, he then chuckles"I saw take care of EVERYTHING that’s important to that old fool, that fool and Marek have interfered too long, I dish out revenge...I do FAR worse than attack him directly, killing one's purpose to go on is far more enjoyable..." He goes in for an attack that is hard for some warriors to block.

Stonepaw groans, blood loss is not a good thing as he sways and falls over passing out. But one other beast who decided he couldn’t sleep and left for a walk to check on his hut has showed up and a familiar blade blocks the twin blades and a snarl is heard. He may be getting to old for this crap but he is here and he is peeved..it’s Zee!

Zinnia closes her eyes and holds up a paw, when she hears metal against metal she opens her eyes "Uncle Zee!!!" She still stays where she is, not yet moving any direction, but she is shaking like a leaf right now as this is all a bit too much for her to handle.

Cayson aims carefully and fires off an arrow at Zee, no real aim at anything major as he was surprised himself and his aim is not a clear shot as his boss is in the way mostly.

Zurrgg hisses and his ears go flat, he has been robbed of a kill and he is none too happy, "Zee Winters......how DARE you interrupt me. I should just go ahead and slay you here and now."

Zee narrows is eyes, they are not red but it’s clear he is very angry as he pants slightly. The arrow grazes his side but he doesn't let out a sound as a line of red forms "Then DO it..your have to if you want to harm any of my family or friends." He has the Blade Of The Northwind Storms with him, and he stays in front of Zinnia and Stonepaw who is in need of a healer and soon.

Zinnia frowns as she stays where she is and scoots slightly over to check on the hedgehog. She uses a scarf she has to slow some of the bleeding and not bump the bolt. Still a bit shaky she just focuses on helping the hedgehog.

Cayson goes to load another arrow as he hears the approach of guards. About three ferrets and a rat, the rat is fired at and falls over dead “Sir the guards are coming, we should finish another time" Yes kill the old badger later please the archer seems to say.

Zurrgg hisses and backs off, "This is not over and you best make sure you have someone to help you old fool because one doesn’t have to be seen to kill a beast and my assassin has very good aim from serval feet away, weather your alone or with others or in a crowed area or not...have a back watcher because one day, I promise..your gonna wander how you suddenly got in the dark forest, come Cayson, we have someone else to pay a visit to" He grabs the crossbow then rushes off while he is able to into the nearby woods.

Zee snorts and watches the wildcat leave and asks without his eyes leaving the archer assassin “Zinnia...are you ok?" His voice as calm as one can be when one is in fighting mode. Stonepaw meanwhile is slipping closer to a not so welcoming deep faint and if a healer is not gotten soon, he won’t last long.

Cayson bows, “Be lucky I don’t have my poison arrows striped one." He flees off one last arrow, getting a ferret in the throat and follows his boss into the thick woods.

Zinnia frowns, "I..I..I'm fine but Stonepaw needs a healer...or he's going to die"

Stonepaw breathing is struggled and comes in shaky breaths, he shivers as if cold and is looking very pale from blood loss. Zee takes a couple deep breaths "Getting..too old for this crap.." He frowns at his side and looks at the hedgehog before hugging Zinnia close, "The wildcat almost killed you....I couldn’t of lived with me self if I was too late" He then steps back "Yes healer...right...." He gets to the guards and explains how a healer is needed and needed now.

The last two guards nod and go get help right away to help carry the hedgehog carefully to the infirm and then find the Master Healer Jase. The other two guards are sadly dead...a rat and a ferret.

Zinnia allows the hug and hugs Zee right back carefully" Uncle Zee...I was so scared. You could of easily died too you know"

The badger hugs her as he carefully holds the blade. He then nods "I..I know and I don't care, I would still die to save your life. I promised ya father Zork I would take care of you and that didn’t just mean normal days, its means this sort of thing as well...now seeing as I think it’s unsafe to go back to the abbey with Zurrgg and his trigger happy pal out thar, we are paying chiefy a visit..come on"

Zinnia nods as she goes to follow him inside. She will help make sure Stonepaw gets to the healer and then go where ever her Uncle is going, but a question “Why was I told you’re a guest or live at the abbey now. Something happen Uncle Zee?"

Zee nods "That wildcat burned down me home. I was not there at the time so all is well in that form, staying at the abbey till its rebuilt now let’s get inside, I will write a letter and get Thunderwing ta deliver it for us"

Zinnia frowns at the news, well they have a lot to catch up on and since she is here till tomorrow morning, may as well have a long CHAT.

• • • • At The chieftains home ***

Zee steps in with Zinnia , "And you have an injured hedgehog in your infirm Scioto."

Zinnia frowns and sits down on the couch and is soon asleep after laying down.

Scioto arches an eyebrow, "Ok he called him by his name so this is serious.." What is going on?" A guard walks in and talks to the chieftain who hisses low and nods.He watches the guard head off and looks at the badger"Fine, stay the night and..a couple guards can get you and your niece to the abbey. The hedgehog can stay here and recover, Jase is a very skilled healer so no need to call the abbey one"

Zee nods "Tis fine chiefy and thanks" He has a bandage on his side as he sighs.

Scioto grumbles, "I can't...ok fine, one night only as I said."

Zee nods an sits in the other soft chair, he is soon sleeping...well least he doesn't snore so the chieftain should be happy for that.
