You Returned?Now What....

Scioto walked up the path to do his daily patrol and decided to stop by the bridge to take a break, he keep his cloak around his as it was starting to get cold weather again. Nearby are a couple of his guards who stay a fair distance but close enough to stop any possible trouble from happening.

Astra walks along, her hood up so her ID is hidden from view, as she looks up her eyes widen as she recognizes Scioto and quickens her pace till she is right beside him, “Scioto!?” She wraps her arms around him and starts to give him a kiss.

Scioto is, to say the least surprised and quickly pushes her away and backs off paw on his sword, his two guards, two muscle bound ferrets are at his side as he growls low “Who are you, I demand an answer!”

Astra eeps softly as she is pushed away and frowns “I am..sorry..I only, I missed you it’s been so long.” She slowly takes off her hood and lets it fall to her shoulders, “It’s..me.”

Scioto gasps “A..Astra?” This is followed by him fainting and one of the guards catching him “Sir!”

Astra places a paw to her mouth and steps forward” Scioto?” She frowns and looks at the guards “I did not mean to….is he alright?”

The guards look the chieftain over and then Astra, “You will come with us miss” The chieftain wakes up, but still a bit out of it as one guard helps him to his home and the other makes sure Astra goes nowhere but with them, probably for questioning.

Astra nods “Of course “ She is not risking not obeying the guards and goes to follow them back to the village.

Scioto rubs his forehead and manages to be able to walk a bit better, he says something and the guard stops and he looks back at Astra as they are on the path leading into Ferravale. Why do you return now?” His voice calm as he asks.

Astra stops walking and answers his question, “I..I don’t know, a lot has happen and I did miss you and..well , my tribe it broke apart and it has been decided it’s best not to be one and so me and the other couple left went separate ways and Ferravale was the first place I thought of to start a new, if you wish for me to go elsewhere I will.” She then waits on his response.

Scioto speaks, “Did I say leave? No I did not.” He gets quiet and then speaks “You can have a room at the inn, for free for two days and then we can maybe, see where you may fit in at the village we are in need of varies jobs now and some are empty such as Head Healer..he was killed, and my Head Guard has disappeared and I am unsure where he is”

Astra nods and smiles “Thank you Scioto for you kindness”

Scioto just nods as they enter the village “I need to get home, I…have to check on some…things” He walks off without another word, many things going through his mind right now.

-Later In The Tavern-

Scioto steps into the tavern, a little later than he usually does and sits in his normal seat, an ale is placed before him but he just stares at it and pushes it off to the side with a shake of his head, the bar tender shrugs and walks off.

Oakenpaw walks up, "Ok Chap, tell me wot upset ya, I know something did"

Scioto looks at the hare, "Just a long day is all, takes a lot to be chieftain sometimes you know"

Oakenpaw shakes his head "No, a cat upset ya she told me so"

Scioto frowns, "Astra was in the tavern?"

Oakenpaw asks, "I did not say that you gonna tell me or not?"

Scioto sighs "Ok fine...more surprised me, not really upset me. I told her she could stay a couple days and...see where she can go after that"

Oakenpaw says, "I'd like her to stay Chap...I really would"

Scioto shrugs "Not sure she should"

Oakenpaw asks, "And just why not?"

Scioto looks like he rather leave, “Cause..does it matter? Bad enough she almost..." He stops again and shakes his head, “She left without a goodbye and sudden shows up"

Oakenpaw says, "It matters, I like her. She is me friend too"

Scioto says, "Well you don’t walk up and try to..to kiss a beast"

Oakenpaw says, "Come on Scioto she be all alone...have some heart"

Scioto raises an eyebrow, "Look..I did not say she had to leave, she can stay at the inn and eat at the tavern just , not by me and she mentioned something or other about her tribe, went separate ways or something"

Oakenpaw says, "aye she be all alone.....she can stay with me any time"

Scioto says, "Why do you keep repeating the..all alone line for?"

Oakenpaw says, "Well it’s not hard ta see "

Scioto says, "Well I don’t know how to..help her"

Oakenpaw says, "Start by Forgiven her"

Scioto shakes his head as he stands "I have some thinking to do. there is a lot you don’t know or forgotten maybe"

Oakenpaw says, "Aye but I know that this kin be a poison...you go think though"

Scioto asks, "Poison?"

Oakenpaw nods "Just as sure as on a blade can make ya very bitter. Eat ya up inside”

Scioto say, "Look...I will find someone to help her, but she may not be able to stay here, its best she not"

Oakenpaw says, "I think it best she do...but wot do I know I am a silly hare"

Scioto starts to say something and then mutters to himself, "Goodnight Oakenpaw" He then heads on home without another word to the hare.
