Mossflower Woods

The stoat has been gone all night after having thumped into the tree branch. He was moved near the river and tied up to a tree with rope. His weapon as gone and he was still in his shorts from last night, and now. He was quite cold. Slowly he wakes up, opening his eye, only to feel his eye patch gone too. "What. In the seasons..." he groans out, looking around.

Will had gone out early in the morning to look for his brother since it seemed he hadn't returned after all as the rat had thought. He didn't tell Garnet where he was going not wanting her to become more upset or to try and stop him. He did however leave a note so she and the others would know where he was. He had hooked an extra canteen to his belt and filled both with water and grabbed some hard tack as well not knowing what sort of trouble the stoat could have gotten into. He returns to the stream where they'd bathed and played around first looking for any sign of what may have happened after he'd left.

There's a tree limb broken on the ground, some blood, Kentar's eye patch. And a trail of flattened down grass where a body was possibly dragged off to. But other then that, there's not much there that shows what happened.

Will frowns seeing the broken branch and the blood and it grows deeper when the eye patch catches his eye. He pockets the patch and keeping his ears and eye on the alert, should this prove to be a trap of some kind, he starts to follow the trail the flattened grass has formed.

When Will reaches the end of the path, there's a large clearing and on one of the bigger trees near the river, Kentar is there, struggling against the rope that's tying him there. He tries to reach something to cut the rope but fails.

Will sees the stoat but doesn't go into the clearing right away. He listens and looks around to see if there are any beasts waiting for him

There isn't anyone visible, aside from Kentar. And he still fails to notice Will. "Oh this is insane..." he growls as he starts gnawing at the rope.

Not hearing or seeing any beast around, save the stoat, Will proceeds to walk over to the tree Kentar is tied to. "Need some help?" he asks drawing his sword to cut the ropes if the stoat hasn't freed himself already.

Will sighs, "I thought you made it home," he says apologetically taking his sword to the ropes, where they cover the tree and not the stoat. "Didn't know you were gone til last night and couldn't get away til this morning," the rat further explains.

Kentar phews and stretches when the rope is cut. "Look Will. I was joking." he chuckles quietly. "Anyways. Yes, Thank you." He stands, his back turned away from Will for the time being.

Will returns his sword to it's scabard and pulls the stoat's eye patch from his pocket, "Found your eye patch on th ground, you probably want it back. What happened t you anyway?" he asks.

Will nods a little then squints at the stoat, "Soooo you ran into a tree and ... then what?"

Kentar sighs. "The tree ran into me, more like it." he then looks down. "I woke up a few hours later, tied to the tree, face first. I don't really know what happened but I." he frowns. "It's nothing.

Will ahs, "Sooo some beast hit you with a tree branch or something and tied you up? No one's here now..... Let's get home. .... I ... I didn't see your sword anywhere so whoever attacked you probably has it."

Kentar nods a little. "Yeah. Sort of." he's leaving something out but he doesn't mention it. "Forget my sword. Lets just get home." he hopes the rat doesn't notice the blood against the tree. "You lead on."

Will had seen the blood but had assumed it was Kentar's though if it belonged to the beast that tied him up the rat wouldn't mind any. Will nods, "Ok. Are you alright? .... You said they tied you up facing th tree? .... They hurt you any?" he asks. The only reason he can think of for a beast to be tied up that way is if they're to be whipped or something but maybe they just didn't want the stoat to see them or something.

Kentar frowns a little and then shakes his head. "No." he lies simply but gives a wince as he stands up and starts to walk, back still away from Will

Will watches the stoat closely. "Well, we don't know who tied you up so it's not like we could do anything about it even if they did," the rat says leading the way back to the stream.

Kentar sighs a little but still doesn't let Will see. "They whipped me twice. But then knocked me over the head with something and then I woke up before you came to get me. Happy?" He asks. Why they only did it twice baffled him. He fought them more then twice

Will chews on his lip as he walks, "Amy and I can watch Chris while Garnet patches you up unless you can do that yourself." He wonders who tied Kentar up and why it seemed so easy to find him and /so far/ bring him back. He doesn't like this, something's not right about it.

Kentar nods a little. "I can do it myself." He says simply. He's done it many times before. "Anyways. Thank you for coming out to look for me." he says.

"You're my brother," Will says, "I had t find out what happened t ya. Would have come sooner but thought you took a shortcut home and were with Garnet or something til she asked where you were. She's real upset but she'll be happy t know you're ok."

Kentar nods a little and smiles a bit, moving off after Will. "Yeah. I guess. Glad she's worried." he nods a little, looking around. "I'd hate to have found out my wife didn't care much." he chuckles.

The rat nods, ".... Amy wasn't too happy that I 'lost' you either. But they'll all be happy that you're back again."

Kentar laughs. "Amy wasn't happy? I wonder why." he smirks. "Well. You didn't lose me, remember?" he hehs.

Will rolls his eye at the laughter, being in front the stoat may not have caught it though. "Tell her that," the calls back to the stoat.

Kentar blinks and runs after Will a little. "Yeah. Okay." he nods a bit. "So. How've you been today?"

"Ok I guess. Haven't done anything other than look for you so ...." Will shrugs.

Kentar nods slightly and places his paw on Will's shoulder. "When we get back. I'm going to bake a cake. You want to help?" he asks.

Will smiles, "Sure. I've never made a cake before. Just soup and only bothered t learn that so Pa an me would have something t eat. Pa did try t make supper once," he grins, " 'Th Lump' I think he called it. Wasn't what most would call food. We didn't try an eat it though. He threw it out and I think we went t th Abbey t eat or did without that night, don't remember exactly."

Kentar laughs and smiles widely, the stoat nodding slowly. "Haha! That's Aikuen for you." he smiles. "I know he couldn't cook if he even learned how to." he smirks. "So yeah. I'll teach you how to bake a cake."

Will shakes his head, "He can cook just not the everyday kind of cooking. He did do most if not all th cooking on all our trips."

Kentar tilts his head and nods a little. "Then I'm surprised you're still alive if he did most of the cooking on your trips." he laughs

"Our trips, silly. Or do you not remember being dragged to the sea shore?" the rat grins lightly poking the stoat in the ribs. He'd poke harder normally but doesn't want to risk hitting any hidden bruises the stoat may have acquired since yesterday.

Kentar laughs. "Don't you remember?" he laughs. "I didn't eat much of that trip." the stoat grins, nodding slowly. "And what I did eat, were my own rations. Right up until Garnet anyways."

Will shrugs, "I remember you moped about most of th trip. Yeah that's right you didn't eat much. Th food was good just so you know. He can cook just better at camping type cooking than normal cooking. Something about his being in battles or something he said."

Kentar laughs. "I didn't mope!" he says before grinning. "I was. Planning. Yeah. That's it. I was planning. Er. A big. A big. Attack! On you!" He then tries to tickle the rat again but only for a few moments if he manages to.

Will laughs as the stoat tickles him for a moment, "Hey!" He tries to scowl at the stoat but he can't keep from smiling, "Don't do that," he relaxs when there's no more tickling and smiles wider, "It's good t have you back though."

Kentar laughs loudly too and then smiles wide. "And Will. Its darn good to be back." he smiles. "So. Uh." There's a pause before he tries to tickle the rat again before grinning. "Come on, lets get home."

Will dodges the tickling a little. "We're going. Now stop doing that," he laughs trying to stay near the stoat but out of tickling range.

Moledeep: Sleeping Hall

After having bandaged up his back, not having much trouble with it for one reason alone, Kentar is sitting against the wall near the sleeping hall door, back resting against it heavily, arms folded, looking like he's asleep.

Garnet just put Chris to sleep, and opens the sleeping hall door. She ecks as it opens faster then it should and goes over to help Kentar sit up again, "Oh love... I'm so sorry!"

Kentar blinks as he hears her, his eye opening and is all of a sudden sat up. "Love. I was beaten twice. Then knocked over the head. What's to be sorry about?" he asks before gently pushing her back, leaning back against the wall.

Garnet frowns at him, but only slightly, "Yes I know what happened... but..." she sighs and goes over to him after the push and sits on her heels, "I'm sorry that I woke you... didn't expect for you to be sleeping there..." she looks him over and shakes her head, "You should be in the infirmary not sleeping against doors." she frowns at him, "I was just trying to help you, that's all..."

Kentar sighs a little. "I wasn't sleeping, love." he says quietly. "I was thinking." then he frowns a bit. "I shouldn't be in the infirmary, nothing's wrong." the stoat says quietly. "Look. I can't feel my back. I haven't been able to since the fox." he says quietly. "Trust me. I'm fine."

Garnet stands and places her paws on her hips, "Just because you can't feel it doesn't mean it's not there anymore. And you're all bandaged up... how am I supposed to feel? I worry about you..." she sighs, "I'm sorry that I'm trying to be helpful..." at least he could do was humor her. She shakes her head and walks over to the table to grab something to eat, even though there is nothing there. She hmphs and keeps her gaze from him.

Kentar sighs and slowly stands, going over to her, slowly slipping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder gently. "Come on love. I should be in the infirmary right now.' he says with a small smile. "And I want a visitor. So lonely in there."

Garnet, at first refuses to be handled in such a manner, "No.. Be by yourself... it's all you deserve after talking to me like that..." and she tries to dislodge his paws from her. But she can't stay mad at him for too long, and a small smiles creeps across her face. She replaces the arms around her and leans her head on his "Oh... Okay... Kenny... I'll be your visitor"

Kentar smiles and goes to kiss her cheek. "Come on." he tries to turn her towards the sleeping hall, walking along without at all letting go. "Have I told you how beautiful you are?"

Garnet eeps as she is almost lifted from her chair and held, walking off toward the sleeping hall. She smiles and shrugs, "Not lately." she giggles, going to wrap her arms around him now, "You should probably tell me again... just in case!" she smirks at him.

Kentar grins and nods slowly. "Alright my love." he nods. "You're very, very beautiful." he chuckles quietly, going off to the infirmary.

Moledeep: The Infirmary

Garnet grins at him and rubs her head against his shoulder, "Aww, aren't you the sweetest! Thank you! Now don't forget next time... or else!" she smiles as they enter the infirmary. She gives him a little squeeze, "Now be good little stoat and rest here... I'll keep you company!" she chuckles.

Kentar smiles and nods. "I won't! I promise." The stoat laughs before laying down on a cot, nodding. "Thank you. See how easy it was to get me into the infirmary?" he gives her a gently shove. "All you needed to do was tell me you'd keep me company."

Garnet rolls her eyes, and places her paws on her hips, after the playful shove. She says sarcastically "Really? Was that all?! Should have thought of that earlier..." she hmms to herself, and then laughs, walking around the cot, just out of reach of the other stoat.

Kentar chuckles and grins a little. "Oh, hey! You come back here! I need someone to hug!" he laughs out, reaching out like a little kid wanting to be picked up by his mother. "Come on! I want a hug!"

Garnet smirks at him, and hides a laugh, going with the little kid scenario "Oh? Stoaty want a hug? What does the ikkle stoat say to get it? hmm?" she grins at him. still just out of reach.

Kentar pouts and goes all teary eyed. "Pweese?" he asks, gripping at the air for a hug, laughing after a few moments. "Don't make me come over there." he grins .

Garnet shrugs a shoulder, "Well... since you said please..." she giggles and jump onto the cot, letting him hug her finally. She mmms, and gives a small kiss to his nose, "You said you wouldn't move! Going over there would have been moving... you naughty ikkle stoat" she grins and goes to snuggle up to him.

Kentar laughs and hugs tight, sighing happily. "See?! Was that so hard!?" he laughs and sighs a little more. "I'm sorry for making you worry. I really didn't mean to. I'm just. Me."

Garnet nods, "It's...alright, I should know... I should realize this by now... But I'm still going to worry... I'm always going to worry... I cant help it... I love you, and it happens..." she sighs, and places her head to rest on his chest looking up at him, "Just don't be like yourself when I worry... do you mind? Please?" she looks at him with her blue eyes, biting her lip.

Kentar sighs and hugs her tighter, nodding slowly. "Alright my love. I promise. I wont be like myself when it comes down to worrying. Alright? I promise." he kisses her cheek softly. "I promise."

Garnet places her arms around him, and smiles at the kiss "Thank you Kenny, it just helps me" she gives a small kiss in return, before she resettles against him. She hums a little song against his fur.

Kentar rests his head on hers gently, nodding and closing his eye. "I lost my first wife. I don't want to lose you. I'll keep you forever. And I'll do whatever it takes, no matter what, to make you happy." he sighs contentedly.

Garnet squeezes him, "And I'll do the same for you, I knew I would ever since you saved me that day..." she grins, "I want to keep you forever... I love you" she smiles and sighs, "Kentar..."

Kentar nods slowly and sighs happily before tilting his head, and opening his eye. "Yeah love?" he asks after his name, holding her a little tighter.

Garnet she smiles, and rubs her face in his fur, "Nothing... just wanted to say your name... I like your name... Kentar..." she hmms, and runs a claw over his fur, "Kentar..."

Kentar smiles softly and gently nods. "Ah. Well. I like your name too. It's a wonderful name for a wonderful beast." he smiles and gives her another small kiss. "So. I've been thinking. You, me, Kluna, and Chris should all take a family vacation sometime." he nods.

Garnet looks up at him, and smiles, "Once again, you're too sweet!" she laughs and then looks at him with a tilted head, "A vacation... With the whole family? Like where? And when? How long?" she blazes him with questions. She blinks a few times and says, "Sorry... Just curious that's all" she smiles weakly at him.

Kentar chuckles and nods before laughing and pretending to fall over with all the questions. "Whoa! Someone! Help! Under questionable attack!" he laughs before grinning. "Yeah. The whole family. And I'm not sure. I was thinking probably to my old home. Its nice there now. The village is rebuilt, and everything. But not by bad beasts. All good. It'd give you a chance to see my old home." He smiles.

Garnet pokes him in the nose, "Shush, im just asking questions..." but then she continues to tilt her head at him, "Your old home... you mean your old, slaver, village..." she blinks a few times and moves her head back, "No bad beasts... You sure? I don't want to be even around that. I don't want Chris or Kluna around that... But if you are sure that they are not there anymore..." she then smiles, "Alright then, sounds fun!" she places her head back on his chest.

Kentar smiles nice and wide, nodding slowly. "Yeah!" he laughs. "I'm absolutely sure! Will, Aik, Fira and I went up near that way last season." He says. "I slipped off for a night to find the village and that's what it was like." he nods. "I. Even found the graveyard where my. First wife was buried." he pauses for a few moments.

Garnet goes to look back at him, and nods, "Well as long as your sure... And since you did visit, I guess I have no other reason not to believe you" she then tilts her head once more, don't know what to say about that last thing. She blinks at him for a few seconds and then eyes him, "You can visit her if you want too..." she says coolly.

Kentar hated bringing up Lanai around Garnet. He really, really did. "Uh. No, that's alright. Its a family trip. She was my family once, and...I don't want something like that to ruin the vacation..." he says.

Garnet continues to eye him, its one of the moments, where no matter what he said... it would be the wrong thing. She sighs and goes to rest against him, though she did remove her arms, "Its fine if you want too... It wont ruin the vacation..." just don't make it the main point, obviously

Kentar sighs a little and nods slowly. "Maybe for a few minutes right before we leave." he nods. "Anyways. I'm sorry I brought her up." he scratches his ear slowly and absently, getting lost in thought. He obviously hasn't let go of her fully yet.

Garnet nods a little bit, as an emotion fills her when he says that. Not quite sure what it is, but it is there "I understand... you told me the story before... and... I understand" is all she says about that. She sighs and starts to run a claw over him again. Lost in her own thoughts.

Kentar sighs and blinks off old memories before looking down to Garnet, holding her close. "Promise me something." he says quietly.

Garnet doesn't look up at him this time, "Hmmm? What is it Kentar?" she asks, still running a claw, but now over his arm that binds her to him.

Kentar smiles softly. "Promise me you'll never leave me. Promise me that you'll never die. Promise..."

Garnet does look up at him at that, "What?" she blinks a few times, "How could you even think that..." she goes to crawl over to him and places her head on his so that they are staring at each other in the eyes, "I will never leave... And i will never die... I love you too much to do that... I... I just cant" she chuckles somewhat, "I promise you that..." she smiles faintly.

Kentar smiles softly and goes to give her a nice long kiss before setting his cheek against her head lightly. "I love you. I'll always love you." he takes her paw. "No matter what."

Garnet grins at the kiss with a long mmm. When her paw is taken she gives it a little playful squeeze back, "No matter what?" she is feeling goofy again, and she has that smile, "No matter what eh?.... ah, i'm too tired for this..." she flops back down next to him, but keeps the heads touching as she likes that, "Maybe ill joke around later... you keep it in mind... and ill think of something" and she goes to playfully poke him in the nose, "Love you Kenny, No matter what!" she grins.

The stoat nods and then gives Garnet another soft kiss. "I will keep it in mind." he grins before laughing at the nose poke. "Why do you keep calling me Kenny?" he asks, laughing.

Will looks in from the sleeping hall. "Kentar doing ok?" he asks not having seen much of the stoat since they'd gotten home.

Garnet looks at him after the small kiss and shrugs, "I don't know... Why not... I mean Aik calls Fira, Fi... what is that supposed to be!" she laughs, "Its what I always called you, for the longest time. Kenny... I mean do you mind that I called you Kenny... cause I'll stop, But i still think its cute," she grins at him, giving a small kiss to his nose. She blinks a few times at the new beast in the room, and turns to face Will, "Oh... the big baby is fine... he just needed some company..." she laughs.

Kentar shrugs a little. "I was just asking." he laughs. "I don't mind it one bit, but I really need a name for you." He smirks. "Garny just doesn't sound good and well. Netty is just awful." he laughs before looking to Will. "Hey Will. I'm doing fine." he smiles.

Will waves a little not wanting to bother the stoats too much right now. "Just wanted to make sure you were doing alright," he says. He doesn't mention that of the two 'Netty' doesn't sound that bad to him not that it's any of his business, but with his big ears he hopes whatever Kentar ends up calling her isn't overly annoying.

Garnet frowns at her names, "Don't you dare call me any of those, or else I'm going to have to take your nose and bury it in the ground!" she laughs and kisses said nose, "Hehe, I think Garnet will just have to do... I mean, its already cute by itself... don't you think?" she looks him in the eyes and smiles.

Kentar blinks and then laughs loudly, grinning. "Oh, alright mum." he winks before smirking and nodding. "Yes! It is quite cute already." he grins before looking to Will. "Its too bad you don't like being called Willy, Will." He chuckles.

Will rolls his eye at Kentar's remark and walks back out to the sleeping hall. The stoat is fine.

Garnet pats him on the cheek, "Good boy! Now shove over I'm tired, and your taking all the room!" she says, as she unceremoniously moves him over to allow more room for her on the cot. She wraps her arms around him and says, "I think its time for me to say good night..." she gives him a squeeze, "But Ik'm not leaving! So your just going to have to bear with me!" she laughs as she close her eyes.

Kentar laughs loudly and smiles, moving over for her to sleep next to him, arm pulling her close as he gently rests his head on hers. "Garnet." he says quietly. "I love you. I'll see you tomorrow. Okay?" he smiles softly and then closes his eye.

Garnet starts to doze, and she mumbles, "I love you Kentar...Kenny..." she grins and starts to drift off to dream world.
