Why Did She Just Do That!!
RW Abbey: Main Gate
You are at the main entrance into Redwall Abbey. The gates are a a massive, double-doored wooden affair, reinforced with iron, and with a heavy latch and crossbar on the inside to prevent would-be invaders. While the gates almost always stand open, you get the impression that the builder of this portal designed it to be nigh impregnable. The entrance arch is amazingly thick, denoting the strength and thickness of the ancient walls themselves, which, despite the upheavals of the past, and numerous cracks present in the rose colored stone, still stand tall and strong. Uncountable pawprints can be seen in the dirt, leading both in and out of the Abbey. Along the bottom of the wall on either side of the arch, weeds and wildflowers can be seen in plenty.
The rising sun brings a soft glow to the old Abbey stones. The air is crisp and a little chilly, and there is a thin layer of dew on the grass and weeds at the foot of the walls, and on the grasslands beyond the dirt road. Starlight skips into the entry and looks around; she is starting to go to different beasts, but still not all beasts.
Safana is sitting on the steps thinking, when she sees the otter dibbun and watches her, she looks to the gates and to the otter and walks over slowly "Hey..wanna play a game, we can play in the woods"
Starlight stops skipping and looks at Safana and frowns, she watches the cat closely and tilts her head at the idea of playing, playing is fun right.
Safana steps closer, "Yeah a..game, in the woods, I won’t hurt you" Well she won’t anyways she speaks truth that far.
Starlight frowns as she looks towards the open ground and back to the cat, she is unsure and it is getting dark now.
Safana groans as she goes to pick up the dibbun, well if she is allowed to that is, and tries to look peaceful, "I am..gonna take a walk a nice nice walk...ok, to see..." Oh what to see, well if it’s the truth.."Another otter..yeah"
Starlight backs up to the wall and whimpers, she lets her curiosity get her and is picked up...ohhhh bad idea she ends up going to bite the cat's paw.
Safana gasps and cusses, ok this is not good so her grip on the otter dibbun is more now as she looks around in a short panic, "Ok calm down..please don’t wiggle"
Starlight frowns; ok she stops and starts wailing loudly.
Safana eyes go wide; she quickly covers the dibbun’s mouth and looks at the gate. She backs up slowly holding a wiggling dibbun.
Starlight sniffs and frowns, she even tries to bite her again.
Safana holds the dibbun tight and quickly gets to the road before the guard on duty, whom is asleep, wakes up.
- Along the Dirt Road*
Safana holds the dibbun tight as she walks; she looks around quickly as her bitten paw pours blood.
Starlight whimpers and is afraid of Safana unsure where she is going and why, she shivers a little and looks around.
Safana walks till she gets to a campsite and places the dibbun under the guard of a rat, nearby a couple hedgehogs and a mouse maid are tied up, she sighs and walks away.
Starlight looks at the rat and curls into a shivering ball, too afraid to run and too afraid to even cry.
Safana heads back to the abbey to get some first aid for her paw, she can come back later and check on the dibbun whom she assumes will be treated fairly well as according to the other cat, she is worth a lot of gold.
