Why Are There Two Guards In A Cell?

• • • • This happens in the Holding Cells of Ferravale, I spooded the guards Cheesetooth and Eddy..enjoy!***

The cell has been well guarded, but the best can't guard all the time and there are two guards right now, a rat named Cheesetooth and a weasel named Eddy. Eddy sighs.. "This is boring not like he gonna get out" ..Cheesetooth nods and agrees, "Nope..".. He twirls the keys to the cell on his finger.

Nightfur smirks as he comes closer to the bars, "You are right, you are such well-trained guards, why does the chieftain need two guards here, wouldn’t..one do just fine?"

The guards look at one another as Cheesetooth nods, "He's right and I be at this all night, I need a break and some food, I'll bring you some".. He heads off leaving Eddy behind, who rolls their eyes and leans against the cell bars twirling the keys on his finger. "Yeah this job tis easy"

Nightfur smiles coldly, "Indeed it is easy, why you can handle all on your own". He sneers and looks at the keys as he gets right behind the weasel, "I mean I pose no threat when have no keys do I?"

Eddy shakes his head, "Hope" He yawns large as can be, "No threat at all and your swords are in the office just outside the cell, far outta reach"

Nightfur smiles at the info, "Yes far from reach." He then quickly puts his paw threw the cell bars and around the weasel's neck and holds tight, not enough to kill but to make him pass out temporarily. He smirks, "You been a good help sir...thank you"

Eddy gasps and drops the keys as he tries to pry off the arm from his neck, he fights and soon stops trying to get loose as he passes out and slumps against the bars.

Nightfur lets the weasel drop to the floor and bends down, he gets the keys and unlocks the door. He pulls Eddy into the cell and lays him on a cot and walks on out of the cell and to the office to look for his swords.

About this time Cheesetooth comes and stops in his tracks as he has some scones and water, he frowns "Eddy?..Eddy!" He goes to try and wake up in his friend so he can get him out of the cell.

Nightfur walks in, he smirks and slams the cell door shut and locks it as he looks threw the bars, he has his twin blades back now, "I say, seems your in the cell now aren’t you, well well well, I am off and think I will place the keys back in the office...outta reach" He sneers, "Do have a good day you two, tell your chief I have left to get my otter back, do have a good day or least try to" He waves and takes the keys to the cell with him, they are dropped in the hallway outside the office as he heads off and slips into the afternoon crowd of villagers out for market and whatever else and on to a side path out of the village.

Eddy wakes up and blinks, the two guards look at the fox and one another and frown...yeah they are probably going to get a lecture now.

--Couple Hours Later—

Inside the cell...YES inside the cell. A rat named Cheesetooth and his weasel friend Eddy argue. "Your fault Cheesetooth ya left me alone" "Yeah! Ya got too close to the bars sounds like.. They slap each other a couple times and then sit refusing to look at one another and then frown "We gonna get fired..." "Yeah..or worse"

Lee comes in looking to speak to the slaver again. As he approaches the cell, he frowns as he sees who's in and most importantly, who is *not* locked up in the cell. He rushes over, looking perturbed. "Oy, wot are ye doin' in there? Where be the prisoner? The fox?"

Eddy speaks, "Umm..see he" , Cheesetooth frowns "He got away, he got the keys from Eddy, so..it’s HIS fault!" Eddy glares at the rat, "He put his arm around my neck..I passed out and..oh no the keys must of dropped them when passed out and he.." The rat speaks, "Got out?..Yeah and put us in here and he had his blades back too"

Lee scowls angrily. "Just great. Now 'e could be anywhere. Do ye any idea where the keys may be? Or I may just let Scioto get ye out."

The two frown at the idea of Scioto knowing they are in here, "We don't know" The rat answered" De fox had them and took them to the office and..don’t know, fox said he was off to get one last thing that was his"

Lee narrows his eyes. "The otter dibbun...I gotta make sure she be safe!"

Eddy asks, "So you going to let us out?" Cheesetooth looks hopeful of the idea of getting out before it's found out they are in there even, "He couldn't of gotten too far" " Yeah only happen like...hour or so ago...or two maybe"

Lee frowns. "I'll get ye the keys." He heads back into the office and can be heard rummaging around, then stepping into the hall. "Aha, found them!" he calls out. He returns moments later with the keys. "Lissen, yer gonna 'ave ta get yerselves out, I'm gonna go check on the child. When ye get out, I want ye two ta sound the alarm for an escaped prisoner, make sure ev'rybeast in Ferravale knows a dangerous slaver be loose, okay?"

The two nods and get the key, at first they argue over who opens it and finally one slowly unlocks it and nods "Good idea and you get the otter dibbun elsewhere"

The alarm is soon sent out of the escape of the fox!
