While the Parents are Away
Characters: Ella, Venei, William, Amethyst, Kentar, Robin, Chris
Location: Camp Coranado; Rivulet
The little otters are sitting on the edge of the bank. Where the sand and rocks are near, but not close to the water. They are building, things. Hard to really tell what it is. But its something all right. Made of rocks and sand. Like a odd shaped castle. Kentar, Robin and Chris are all near or in the pool. So they are keeping an eye on the little ones. As it seems the older otters are nowhere to be found.
Amy has been perswayeded to walk around near the water at last. When she and Will come upon the otters he naturally looks around for the larger otters. Not seeing them he sits down and turns to the twins, "What're you two making? Do you know where Mum an Pa are?" Amy sits also well when Will sits and smiles at the twins not saying anything yet.
Ella continues to look at the thing she is building. Which in her mind looks like a fort. But to any other eye looks like a pile of rocks with a leaf on top. Venei looks up from her 'house' that she is working on and smiles at the rats. Before tilting her head with a shrug, "I is buldings a housey. Ells is buldings a forts to protectes it..." she nods before looking around, "... I dont knows... Daddies said somehting about talking to mummys..." she goes back to her pile.
William nods to both answers, "Well they're probably around somewhere." He looks over the 'house' and 'fort' carfully. "Does your fort have a wall to go around Ve's house so it'll be protected all over?" he asks Ella knowing she doesn't.
Ella blinks and looks up at the rat, "...Uh's I no know..." she scoots around and starts to make a wall kinda around Venei's house. Venei frowns a bit, "Hey! I was doin stuffs!" "I haz a to build a wall to protecs your house." "Hurries..." Venei frowns still.
Kentar and Chris and Robin are swimming around in the pool, the stoat having finished really paying attention to the otter twins since Will and Amy came along, the three not having greeted them yet as they were having too much stoaty fun! Robin splashes Chris...Chris splashes Robin! And Kentar splashes them both before swimming to shore and sitting on the edge, chuckling. "Heh...hey Will, Amy." he nods to them finally.
William tries not to laugh at the twins' reactions to his suggestion. When the stoat comes over he raises a paw in greeting, "Hey. Having fun drowning your offspring?" the rat jokes. Amy turns her head toward the stoat, "Hi. We seem to have lost some otters. Fortunately not the important ones." Will smiles and pokes her, "Hey, Fira is important too."
Ella finished half the wall before saying, "You can go backs to buildings now..." Venei smiles, "Good..." she goes back to building her house befre she blinks, "...Uhh... Thanks Vee..." she mumbles out. Ella goes back to her little pile of rocks again, "Will finish da wall... when you is done." more nodding. Venei blinks up at the rats, "...Der is not losted..." she frowns a bit. She is not a little todd anymore. She knows now, "and dont make fun of daddies..."
Kentar laughs a little bit and smiles. "Haha, so true. But Aik isn't." he nods. "He's only here to make us laugh." he laughs a little and then nods. "Yeah, I am actually." he grins. "And I'm sure I'll have fun drowning yours when you have some too." he laughs with a nod, smiling at the otter twins, watching them before looking back towards the rats.
Amethyst scowls at Kentar for suggesting such a thing. Venei's comments are noted. "I wasn't the one making fun of Aik. Though of the four of you I'd be more concerned if something happened to either of you two than to your parents." Will nods a little in partial agreement. "Mum an Pa are fine wherever they are." )
Venei still frowns at Amy, even though she knows that the rat cant see it. Ella is still pretty much oblivious to everything except her pile. Venei mumbles out, "...Dont make fun of daddies..." before she goes back to her house. Ella pats her leaf, "..They ares. They havy eachother. And not usy. So they is free!" she laughs before she falls on the ground with a light uff.
The stoat chuckles. "Sorry Venei." he nods. "I won't anymore!" he nods then smirks at Amy and hums. "What's wrong Amy?" he asks. "Want to drown your own offspring?" he laughs a little bit and smiles. "Sorry, I'll be quiet now.
"Kentar. That's not funny," Will growls. He knows the stoat means it as a joke but he's going too far.
Kentar blinks and then frowns. "Oh, but its funny when you say it to me." he frowns, slipping back into the water and heading back to join Robin and Christopher.
Venei nods and smiles at Kentar, "...Thankee." she mutters quietly before going to happily tackle Ella when she falls over. Feeling better about things. Up until the stoat leaves. Venei stops fighting Ella and looks up at the stoat. Her ears go back a bit. Feeling the animosity. She wishes the stoat will come back. Ella is still oblivious as she lightly clamps her fangs into her shoulder. Venei ergs, but still doest fight back. Being pined on the ground.
"That was different. Y-" Will starts to say but then the stoat is gone. "Never mind. He always ends up doing that. Making a big deal out of nothing and ..." he shakes his head. Amy is still glaring at where the stoat last was so Will helps her up planning to take her back to camp to calm down. Maybe she can talk to Garnet or Fira if the otters are back yet. And he'll try to talk with Kentar later. He gives the twins a smile, "We're going back to Camp. Th stoats 'll still be around if you two need anything. Ok?"
Ella still has her fangs locked in Venei's shoulder. So she really cant answer the rats. Venei ergs and moans lightly in pain as she nods to the rats. Kinda glad that they are going. And maybe the stoat will return. Or maybe their parents. That would be good.
William frowns a little at Ella and says, "Don't play too rough." Before leading Amy back toward camp.
Kentar watches the rats leave and shrugs to himself before heading back to shore. He folds his arms on the bank and rests his chin on his arms, watching the twins. "Play nice you two." He chuckles.
Venei manages to pin Ella to the ground now and she smiles when the stoat gets near, "Unky Kenty! And we is play nicey..." she puts her paw in Ella's face, "Sees?" Ella bites her paw and then pins her sister again, "Very niceses... Whats to join?"
Kentar thinks for a few moments and nahs a little bit, shaking his head. "Nah, I'm good watching." he smiles a little bit. "You two have fun!" he chuckles a little bit.
Ella holds her sister down, as she tries to get up again. Ella says, "Awww! Come on Unky! Pwese! We promises not to hurts you too muches.." she grins with her fangs.
Kentar pushes himself out of the water and sits on the edge, shrugging a little. "I don't know." he hums a bit. "I'm not really in the mood to play." He nods a little, thinking for a few moments. "Besides, I'm getting a bit too old for that sort of play." He smirks. He's not really, but they don't know that.
They both get off and they stand up looking at the stoat. They are taller than Chris and their rudders have started to grow lengthy. And they drag for a good bit on the ground. They both use their double team attack and make very sad faces, "Pwese unky!" "We can always go have fun with Chris-a-bell!" Ella smiles evilly, "Ooo yeses."
Chris hears that and looks over to his dad. "For season's sake, play with them!" he calls out before trying to swim as far away as he can before Robin manages to stop him. "Oh!? Play with my son?" He hums. "Oh, I can't let you do that!" He laughs a little bit with a nod. "Oh alright, I'll play with you."
Before even the stoat has time to finish that last sentence. They both tackle the stoat. Trying to knock him down to the ground to crawl all over him, "YAY! Unky!"
Kentar huhs and oofs, raising up his paws as he's knocked to the ground, becoming a climbing stoat for the two younger beasts. "Whatever happened to giving a stoat some warning?" he laughs.
Ella stops and rests on his chest, going to looking into his face, "We is gonna attacks you naugh..." she nods. While Venei ventures near his legs. How can she pin something this big. It is a puzzle.
Kentar laughs a little and puts one arm around Ella to try and 'pull' her off, not really putting much effort into it before trying to reach down to grab at Venei's rudder lightly. "Hey you! No pinning Unky Kenty!" he laughs.
Ella erks and tries to get away from the stoat with a giggle, "Not yets!" she goes to rest on his stomach now, going to watch the 'removal' of Venei. Venei moans as her rudder his pulled, "But i was just... not. not anyhting." she erks and wiggles her rudder, "Let me goes! Or ill bites you!" she giggles again.
Kentar blinks as Venei threatens to bite him, the stoat putting on the meanest, fake frown he possibly can. "Venei Tazan, did you just threaten me!?" he fights back a laugh. "I'll have to show you what I do to little otters who threaten me!" he lightly pulls Ella off him now as he sits up and goes to haul over her sister, starting to tickle her. "Hehehe, you don't threaten me again!" he laughs.
Venei is actully scared at the stoat, "I... I didnt means it. Sorries...I was just... Please dont hurts me!" then she is hauled over and is tickled. Her smile returns to her face as she holds up her paws, happy again "Unky was being trixie!" she giggles loudly. Ella uffs as she is hauled off before going to jump and peak over Kentars shoulder, "No fairs. I was going bites you. Where be my tickles!"
Kentar hums a bit and grins, the stoat reaching around to grab Ella and push her lightly next to Venei, starting to tickle them both, laughing. "OH, you both threatening a stoat?! Well, now you pay! Haa!"
Both otter hold up their paws as they get tickle, "Argh! Yay! hehehehehehe. Stoaty is funny." "Yeses! Maybe we should threten him mores often!" they giggle and start to nuzzle his stomach when they get free.
Kentar holds the two lightly, one in each arm. "Now...listen to me." he nods once. "I don't want you threatening anyone, okay? Its not nice. Only when you two and me are playing. Thats it. Okay?" he nods once. He doesn't want to get them into the habit of threatening anyone.
Both continuum to nuzzle his soft stomach fur, before looking up at the stoat, "... We. Didn't means it..." "Yah... Okay Unky. No more threatens..." they both nod. They didnt mean it. It just something they say when they play. They never meant it as anything more than that. But if Unky says no. That's just as good if Aik had said it.
Kentar smiles. "Good!" he nods before standing and shivering a moment or two. "I'm going to go dry off and get into something warmer then just swimming shorts." he chuckles. "I'll be back in a minute." He says as he heads to his tent.
Both flop back on the ground to let the stoat free to go do whatever. Ella nods, "Okaies... Well be here." And they both go back to working on their buildings. Not understanding why Kentar changes. Non of the otters do. But they are otters. So its obvious why.
Kentar returns after a few moments, his shorts replaced by a pair of clean brown trousers, and a green tunic. He sits behind the two, being as quiet as he can to make sure that its like he never really left. "So...why did you two get off me?" he asks, tilting his head.
Venei ergs and falls over her house, "Ahhhhh!" Seems like she didnt know after all, "...We thought you had... We saw you left... Stop it! Being trixie..." she tosses a small rock at the stoat. Ella looks up, "Hey Unky!" she waves before going to tackle him again.
Kentar blinks a little. "I didn't leave! I never left. You got up and went back to your building. I thought you forgot about me." he erks as the rock is tossed...just like her father...and then he erks again as he's tackled, falling backwards agian.
Venei walks up to Kentars face again and looks right into it, "...Yes you dids. We got offs and you stoods. I saws you with my eye." she squint her green eyes. Ella still trying a way now to pin him.
Kentar grins and shakes his head, letting Ella pin him. "Nope! I didn't! I've been sitting here the whole time!" "Yeah he has!" Chris says as he leans on the shore next to Robin, both stoats still in the water, and watching.
Venei stamps her foot on the ground. Via Garnet style, "Yes you has! You are wearing different clothes... and ebreything." she nods forcefully. Ella is very confused to which is right. She just hold onto the right leg and make sure it doesn't go anywhere.
Kentar chuckles and nods. "Yeah, I left and changed." he chuckles, reaching out to pull the young otter down into his side. "Hehe."
Venei nods again going to poke the stoat in the nose, "Thats right Mister... Argh!" she uffs as she gets put in the area between his tunic and fur, "Heyheyhey..." she poke her head out and her rudder though the bottom, "...Thats..." she shrugs and starts to nuzzle his side again. Ella looks up, "Can i lets go noaughs?" she asks hopefully.
Kentar laughs and hums. "Of course you can let go if you want to, nothing keeping you there!" he chuckles as do the other two stoats. "Sooo." he hums a little bit. "Don't you think its time for bed for little otters?" he hums.
Ella blinks up at the stoat before slowly getting off. But leaving her rudder on his leg, "...I was making sure Venei gavee you a good talkings too..." she nods before going to rest in his lap, "I dont knows... Do... You thinks its time for little otters to go to bed?" The parents are not here to enforce it. They might get away with it. But it seems Venei is already half way to sleepy town.
Kentar chuckles a little bit, smiling. "Well." he looks to Venei. "I don't know about you, but your sister looks really tired." he nods. "So it is at least for one of you." he hums, looking to Ella. "I can let you stay up a little longer if you promise not to tell your parents." he chuckles.
Venei holds up a paw, "I is not sleepies... I can stays aw-..." and she drifts off as her head goes limp against his fur. Ella smiles and shakes her rudder, "Oh yes! I will not tells them!" she bounces a bit.
Kentar chuckles a little bit and shakes his head. "Alright. You stay here while I go to bring Venei to bed." he nods, standing up, carrying the little otter in his arms. Chris climbs out of the water and sits on the edge, his feet still in. Robin heads off as well, leaving the two alone.
Ella nods as she watches him go off with her sister. Then her attention is dragged to Chris. She smiles warmly, before getting up and building up speed to tackle him... But when she get within a few feet. She stops and blinks before, "Can..." she shakes her head, "Maize i sit with you?" she asks.
Kentar hums a little bit and wahs as he sees her get into tackling speed. He puts up his paws before blinking and tilting his head. He smiles and nods a little bit, glad he's not knocked back into the water, which he's kicking with his feet. "Sure."
Ella smiles and goes to plop next to him, letting her rudder in the water as her short otter legs doesn't let her reach it yet, "Thankee Chris-a-bell..." she giggles, "How Are yous?" she asks going to rest on his shoulder.
Kentar smiles a little bit and moves his arm out of the way, shrugging a little as she rests on his shoulder like that. "I'm alright." he nods once. "What about you?" he asks, tilting his head for a few moments.
Ella scoots in a little closer, "Thats good... And im good. Was having fun with sissy and unky..." she yawns a bit, "...A little tired..." she smiles, starting to nuzzle his shoulder.
Christopher puts his arms around her shoulder with a nod. "Yeah. I saw." he chuckles with a smile. "Maybe you should go to bed too." he nods, poking her lightly.
Ella smiles at the shoulder hug thing. She shakes her head in his shoulder, "Nono..." another yawn, "Im... Im still okay..." she then smirks at the poke, going to playfully nip at it.
Chris pulls his paw back and erps. "Heey." he smirks a little then hums. "You dont...sound fine." he nods before yawning himself, blinking.
Ella wraps her paws around Chris in a hug, closing her eyes, "I was jus playins... And i am fine... Im just a little tired. Thats all... Maybe i just need to resty a bits..." another VERY contagious yawn.
Chris oofs as he's hugged, yawning too. "Stop that." he chuckles with a smile. He just shrugs lightly and lets her rest on him like that, the stoat still kicking water lightly.
Ella hums a bit, "Stop what... Im not..." she giggles lightly, "...I likes you Chirsto-fur..." she smiles before her head goes limp as well, as sleep overtakes her.
Kentar blinks as he spies the two. He chuckles quietly and heads over, picking up Ella and shaking his head. "I think its bed time for you to Chris." He nods. The little stoat only nods and chuckles a little, standing up. "Oh, oookay." he nods, not seeming to down about it, probably just glad to have Ella off of him.
