Ferravale:Cheiftain's House:Main Room

Friends: Raymond the wildcat. Blisa the cat and Ferdinand the ferret. Nightbreath the ermine.

Blisa is a wreck. Her drawing pad and favorite cloak are missing, and she can't find them. Ferdinand sighs as the kitten rips through the house. He looks around and starts to rub his temples /very slowly/. The home is in a shambles. There is stuff laying /everywhere/ in /every room/ from the frantic searching of Blisa. Could this day possibly get any more complicated?

Raymond knocks on the doorway, loudly in fact, "Anyone there..please!"

And the answer is, yes, of course it can! Ferdinand sighs again as he goes to the door and opens it. Blisa starts ripping the bookcase apart for the third time today as her bodyguard smiles slightly. "Thir Raymond, good day. What'th wrong?"

Raymond frowns and looks at the house, "What happen here, is it related to the window? Oh no.."

Blisa turns at the sound of Raymond's voice and screeches, "My favorite cloak and my filled drawing pad are missing?! Help me look!! Please!!" she goes dashing to her room to start ripping her bed apart...again. Man, Ferdinand just put it back together! The ferret sighs. "I had jutht gotten the glath thweeped up off the floor when the came running out of her room, hollering that her thingth were mithing. The'th been tearing the plathe apart ever thinthe. Why? What'th wrong? What do you mean, 'oh, no'?"

Raymond frowns and has a clearly worried look on his face, he looks around the room, "Anything else missing?..Find anything out of place?..Another guard reported the window broke and I thought maybe random..drunk beast, but didnt seem right, I mean why?..And I have beasts asking where Scioto is?..and..and.." He stops, whats that by the fireplace, sort of in it, he walks over and uncovers it as a couple things was knocked on it, he gasps..its a sword a very familar one, now he looks more worried.

Solid yet quiet thumps can be heard from Blisa's bedroom as she starts taking apart her personal bookcase. Ferdinand comes over to the head guard's side, concern starting to flood his face. "No, I don't think anything elthe ith mithing. It'th kinda hard to tell, what with the meth Blitha ith making. Hey, what'th that? What'th wrong? Ith Thir Thcioto mithing?"

Raymond frowns as he looks at the sword, "Scioto's sword, he is never without this unless he is here, at home, I" He looks towards Blisa's room and then back to the guard, "He is missing thats why no one can find him, and someone or same beast may of broken the window, maybe after Blisa or something"

NOW Ferdinand is worried. "Oh, no. That'th not good. Wait..." he looks to the doors and windows, the curtains over the broken moving in the wet, cool-yet-warm breeze that comes before rain. "What if Thir Thcioto wath kidnapped, ath you implied, and they took Blitha'th cloak and drawing pad to make him think the wath dead?" Pshaw...that is so farfetched, it's sheer crazy talk....or is it?

Raymond frowns as he listens, "I don't know..IF they would do something like that, would he believe it?" He shakes his head, "Cloak and drawing pad, hmmms..is she ever without it? I mean there would need to be more wouldnt there?" He sighs "If he did believe that he wouldnt be in good shape mentally, thats for sure"

Ferdinand shakes his head. "The drawing pad that'th mithing ith full. It hath no blank pageth. Adn the cloak ith her favorite. It'th fancy. I embroidered a flower on it for her..." oh...whoops. Maybe he shouldn't've mentioned that he, a guard, does stitchwork. Oh, well. Too late now. "The only wearth it to feathtth." he shakes his head again. "You're right. Why would anybeatht do that? Nevermind...it wath a dumb idea."

Raymond tries to think "No, not really, wonder is anyone else saw something"

Ferdinand shakes his head. "No, it wath. You were probably right. They want to kidnap Blitha, too. I thould take her to Redwall."

Raymond nods as he is still thinking, "Cloak, could of been to trick him but like said would of had to be more than a cloak or unless it was always on her when she was out and about" He nods again "Redwall may be the safer place just in case they could be after her, unless they aren't.."

Ferdinand looks cautiously at the wildcat. Blisa can now be heard in Scioto's room, attacking the bed again. "Aren't what?"

Nightbreath slips in with his blade on his back and his hood up. "Urgent news," he says as he passes through the doorway, without even so much as a 'hello'. "Shadowfur is a traitor and he's now on the run."

Raymond blinks at the news, "The miller? What did he do?"

Blisa, having heard another voice and no knock whatsoever, comes dashing out of Scioto's room, her knife and dirk strapped on and her slingshot in paw. Without even thinking, she launches a rock at the Seer's face, then screeches to a halt and gasps as Ferdinand hollers. "I'm sorry! I didn't realize it was you! I'm sorry!" the kitten starts to cry, and her bodyguard picks her up and cuddles her.

Fortunately the shot went wild. Nightbreath whispers, "It's okay, Blisa...it's okay. You're right to be so wary in such a time." He resumes speaking to Raymond. "He aided the destroyer of the tavern. And aided in tormenting Scioto. I dueled him and drove him out for now. I've taken the liberty of ordering the guards to capture him on site, and if that is impossible, killing him."

Raymond listens and frowns "Tormented how? Hurt him? Injuried him?"

Blisa sniffles and nods, then looks back at the ermine. "What about Daddy? You are talking about Daddy, right?" Ferdinand raises his eyebrows. She had better not've been eavesdropping.

"Tormented his mind," Nightbreath scowls before saying, "I believe this is connected to the missing book of drawings that has just now been found missing..."

Raymond says, "Her cloak is missing as well"

Ferdinand's jaw drops slightly. "Wait a minute....tho my theory wath correct?" he hopes he doesn't have to repeat it...too many 'S' sounds in it for him. Blisa groans and buries her face in the ferret's shoulder.

"Affirmative," Nightbreath says grimly. "The cloak could've been used as 'proof' that Blisa was either taken or killed by Shadowfur's colleagues."

Blisa hugs her bodyguard's neck. Ferdinand swallows. "Thould I take her to Redwall?"

"No," Nightbreath says sharply. "The roads are much too dangerous. She should remain either here or in my house. Much safer." Nightbreath steps out the door, saying, "I'm going to my home, to plan our next move. May the dawn find you all alive and well."

And so they decided to hide out at Nightbreath's house. Without telling anybeast, not even Raymond, they pack a few things (but no food...their not dumb) and head over that way. Thanks for reading!
