What goes around...

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Free from the clutches of Nightfur his ex wife Flamefur reforms herself from a slaver... to a thief...

What goes around...

Flamefur is walking along a path in the woods, she is starting to get tried of all this snow and ice but she also didn't want to stay longer with those Redwall beasts. "Annoying" She mutters to her self and gets out a pawful of dires apples and munches on them, she is low on supplies as well it would seem.

The forrest is silent except for the sound of the small creek to the right. There is a small slope leading down to the waist deep water. As the wind turns the smell of fire wavers through the air bring with it the smell of cooked fish. The fire is not too far down the road just under the slope and next to the river and just out of sight.

The fox sniffs the air and smirks at the idea of a possible free meal, yes she behaved inside that abbey, then again she was watched all the time, even if the guard was lazy once, his lazyness made him lose a dagger once but she hid it, she walks a little slower to find the campfire and soon sees the smoke and starts to feel the slight warmth of the fire so she goes to try and hid behind a tree to scan the area of the fire.

There is a single otter here. Not old but not young either. The brown furred otter sits next to a fire roasting some a spicket of fish over the fire. Next to him is a large pile of fish and a fishing pole. The pot bellied otter shifts his weight as he turns the fish. He wears an open blue jacket, tattered grey trousers, and a ragged wide brimmed fishing hat.

Flamefur smirks as she sees the otter and slips out one of her daggers, she has three, and spins one around slowly and then flicks her wrist so the dagger is sent towards the otter as she gets nearer to him and that fish he is cooking.

The otter shrieks as a knife appears in his flesh just below the ribs and to the side, he falls over to his back, clutching at his wound and trying to crawl away. The poor otter is too shocked for words other than, "DAH! I'm bleeding!"

Flamefur growls and rushes out, she can't have the fool draw attention as she heads to him with another dagger, "Shut up ya yapping you fool!" She has a 2nd dagger ready to stab him or slit his throat if needed,"Woodlanders are so annying."

The otter whimpers, still clutching at the dagger in his chest he is breathing rapidly with fear, "oh please! Take what you want! I..I don't want to die!" The fat otter tries to crawl away from the vixen."

The fox spins her dagger and smirks, "Oh?..How about all ya coins and..the fish, course you could tell those beasts at the abbey of this, can't have that they would go after me, so.."She likes the fear he shows as she flicks the dagger towards his stomach.

The otter makes a pained gasp as the blade digs into his pot belly. The otter's breathing increases sharply as he grips at the blades hilt, "W-why....." the shock of being stabbed, and the pain, force him to pass out. He lays sprawled out on the ground alive...for the moment. It's imaginable that this far from the nearest healer and alone out in the woods the otter has eaten his last fish.

Flamfur chuckles and doesn't even try and help him at all, she walks over and starts to eat a nice dinner of fish, "Ya be a good good woodlander, how nice for that, too bad can't make more, oh well" She listens to some sounds as she eats the fish, she even looks to see if he has anything of vaule and grumbles, no gold or silver..some coppers. oh well..oh some apples, that's good.

The most expensive item the otter seems to have carried are his clothes, and that doesn't say too much. He leaves behind in his wake the large pile of ready to be cooked fish. As the fox eats the sun sets into the west and darkness begins to creep up on the camp. By then the otters breathing has slowed and finely stopped.

Flamefur seems to enjoy the campfire and the fish dinner, the dead otter lays there and she seems to not be concerned as it's just an otter.

There is a loud splash up stream. A trio of paws on the rocks can be heard followed by a loud voice, "Hey Maloch! You get dinner cooked yet?" Another voice, "I hope you havn't eaten all the food by yourself you pot bellied thief!" It's impossible to tell what species the voices belong too in the darkness.

Flamefur hears the voices and sighs, "Great" she mutters, well seems she has been the one who ate all the fish

The sounds of paws on hard rocky sand can be heard. They smell like otters, three of them to be infact, "Maloch! you there? Heh, lazy git is already belly up with fish!" Another otter shouts, "You pig! You'll eat yourself to death one of these days!" Niether of them have seen the fox...yet.

Flamefur decides to slip away while she is able to and takes the last fish with her and quickly starts to leave the area, the other way the otters are coming not towards them.

The otters come to camp site finely. Shouts of shock and grief can be heard, "Maloch! Speak to me!" "He's been stabbed? Who would do such a thing?" One otter growls, "Spread out! Find who did this! We will hang the monster!" As the fox runs away from the camp the darkness grows thicker. There are lots of options really, continue to run down downstream, dash off into the woods...there seems to be a small opening thogh along the slope up ahead, just barely big enough for a beast to squeeze through along side the river.

Flamefur runs down the stream and places her footpaw at that odd angle and tenses, she twists her ankle and so can't run, she cusses loudly and looks around quickly, seeing the opening she heads there in hopes of a temporary escape, let them pass and then she can double back the way they came and be long gone before they find out where she went.

The hole opens up into a larger cavern. Most of which can not be seen in this little light. What can be seen is that the cave has a very narrow opening though, barely large enough for a slender fox, let alone one who just ate a large pile of stolen fish.

Flamefur frowns and still needs to get inside here to hid, she manages, just barely but loosens a couple stones doing it and coughs at some dust, "Well..this is intresting" She mutters and makes sure the opening is still there as she would hate to be stuck in here too long

The sound of the otters drawing closer can be heard. They pause for a breathless moment next to the hole. "Did you see where they went?" Another lengthy paus. "No...lets go down river." The beasts continue on from the hole leaving the fox in an oddly spacious tunnel like cavern that spreads deeper into the earth and along the river side.

Flamefur breaths a sigh of relief and decides to explore this cave, and maybe find a better way out of it as all caves have more than one exit, right? She looks at the rocks and listens somewhat, mainly to the otters. She has droped the last fish she had, but has an apple in a pocket and munches it as she walks slowly along and deeper.

The cave is only filled with darkness until Flamefur comes to a larger cavern. The cavern is round with a small opening letting in fresh air at the far end of the chamber. Between her and the opening there is a bumpy shadowy floor.

Flamefur chuckles, "Well to the exit we go then" She says and limps slowly along the floor, she falls once and cusses, she gets up and rubs her already sore ankle.

As the fox moves through the room there seem to be a surprising number of stalagmites to the room coming out of the floor. On further inspection however it is found that these are in fact NOT natural rock formations, but broken spears, swords, and arrows all sticking deep into the earth...which begins to move under the fox's paws. Off to her side a large reptile like head raises in the darkness and reguards the fox with a single blind eye. If the snake could blink surprise he would. A large grin spreads across his face, "Hello." Ageless says sweetly.

Flamefur gasps and gets her last dagger ready and grips it "W..Who are you" She quickly starts to move to the entry of the cave best she can.

The snake rears up to his half his full height. He has to crouch low to avoid the cieling above. As the fox gets closer to the exit the snake sniffs the air, "Ah...sssuch a sssweet fragrance of fear you have....fox I believe yessss?" Ageless smirks, "I'm afraid the eyesight isssn't too good thessse dayssss." The massive creature slowly uncurles himself as he moves closer to Flamefur. He has several large gashes on his sides from recent combat, "I am named agelesss...but mossst jussst sssscream in terror. That workssss too." Ageless grins, showing off his fangs.

Flamefur tenses but refuses to scream, she flicks the dagger and aims for his neck, snakes sort of have a neck right? She also walked a little closer to flick that dagger.

The snake pauses in his tracks. He looks down to where the dagger is sticking out of his neck, sinking into his thick scales. Ageless looks back up to the fox and states cheerfully. "Now I have to kill you..." Agless begins to advance.

The fox has no more daggers and frowns, she looks at the entry and away from the snake, "Like you can move quick enough ugly!" And she runs towards the entry, she falls once and gets back up to once again get closer to the exit.

The exit is very narrow, far too small for for a hulking beast of a snake to fit through. IT looks almost as small as the last hole actually. And the fox speaks the truth. Still recovering from his wounds with a certain wild cat and militia leader the snake cringes with every small movement. His sense of pain is dulled...not forgoten. He slithers after his 'meal'.

Flamefur has hurt her ankle more as she tenses up, she looks for a rock to throw

the snakes tail wraps around the fox's leg and pulls her closer. It begins to wrap around her legs, fish filled torso, and binds her arms to her sides...

The fox gasps and she tries to get loose and feels the coils get tighter and tighter and she struggles only to slowly have trouble breathing and gets a pure look of fear.

The snake coils around his prey and smiles pleasantly. Ageless leans forward to the fox, pausing next to her snout, he whispers softly, "I'm sssso glad you decided to ssstay...you are just in time for dinner..." The fox makes one finely terrified yipe as the snake rears back his head, unhinging his jaws and barring his fangs at Flamefur. The last thing the vixen sees is the gaping maw of the snake coming for her head...

CHOMP! CRUNCH!

The fox's grey and black tipped tail is the last to dissapear down Ageless's gullet. The snake smacks his lips and sighs in contentment, "Hmmmm...tasssted jussst like fisssh..." The large snake slowly begins to coil up again into a ball. He rests his head on the large suspicious bulge on his middle and drifts off to a peaceful sleep.

Flamefur:

She is a vixen and a tall one at that. Her fur is a fiery red color and when the sun shines on it, it makes it even brighter like a fire. Her eyes are a stormy greyish blue and seem to match her mood at times. Her tail is bushy like most foxes and the tip has some grey on it mixed with black. She wears a dark red tunic with some bark leather dusty brown pants. She keeps her foot paws bare so she moves faster. She keeps a whip at her side and two long silver daggers, one for each side.

...comes around.
