Wedding Plans
Characters: Amethyst and Aikuen
Location: Moledeep
Moledeep: Mole Hall
Amethyst sits by the fire gently twirling her clay rose around in her paws. Back and forth over and over. She wont go outside because of the cold and snow and there is only so much do be done inside.
A quick visit to the kitchens later and Amy settles back down with a bowl of candied chestnuts and her lute. Soon the hall and the nearby rooms of Moledeep are filled with music and sweet singing.
The otters come into the room. Yes, all four of them. Aikuen is holding the paw of Fira. Ella sits on Aiks head, while Venei rides on Fira's rudder. They grin at each other other he softly kisses her. She, going to kiss him back as well, before pushing him back. Playfully. Aik smirks at her, pulling her back, and twirling her. Both otters whoa, before chuckling and giggling. Aik holds her a little longer, before she walks of toward the kitchen. Teasing Aik. Aik grins stupidly before walking over to one of the chairs and plopping down, "Yo!" is all he says.
Ella waves, "Ama."
Amethyst mostly ignores the otters as they come in. It quiets a little and she can only hear two speak to her so no telling where they all are. "Hello otters," she says as the song she's singing ends. She doesn't turn toward them as she can hear them fine from where she is and she doesn't want to move away from the warm fire or her bowl of candied nuts.
Aikuen says, "It's just me and Ella now." he goes to put his footpaws on the table. He hums the song that was just sung, before saying, "How goes. Miz rat?" he chuckles taking off his 'hat' and putting her in his lap.
"Quite well. And that will be 'Mrs. Tazan' before long." she smiles starting up another tune.
Aikuen nods, "Good!" he then rolls his eyes, "Yes Yes. Mrs. William Tazan. Named from... an otter. I do believe!" he laughs, "But I'm still gonna call you Amy. Oh, daughter-in-law! May have to dump you in the pond. Just for kicks, before you get married. Get it. Taking the plunge?" he laughs louder.
Amethyst says, "I've been pushed into that pond once already but if you insist go ahead just wait till the ice is gone first."
Aikuen rubs his paws together, "Oh... I will. Right before the ceremony. We'll toss you both in." he chuckles, "Oh yes. It's all coming together! The water will be cold. No ice. But very cold! MAHAHAH!" he smirks, "Too late! I thought of it. Now we're doing it!" he grins, and starts to tweak Ella's rudder.
Amethyst says, "I'll make a note not to wear anything nice til after that then. Are the little ones still going to decorate? Will had wanted Kluna, Chris and the twins to help Robin with decorations so they'd have something to do. And with Robin helping maybe they'd stay out of trouble, as if that's possible."
Aikuen sticks his tongue out at her, "OH! What's the fun in that! Me and me first wife got married, with mud all over us!" he chuckles, "You're no fun!" he sighs, "I guess so. Though I don't know how much help they will be..." he scratches Ella under the chin, "They don't like... to do things like that. They like mess."
Ella protests, "No'es"
Aik says, "Dun lie! you get it from your parents!"
Ella blinks, "..."
"Yah, I know it!" Aik grins.
Aikuen nods a bit, "Okay. That's fine. I'm sure they can do that at least. And we will make sure they will stay out of the way... Maybe!" Yes, more evil otter plans, "Heh. You beasts, and your big weddings. I kinda like being poor. I think its more meaningful. But that's just me, I guess!" he chuckles. Ella yawns and lays down picking at her rudder.
Amethyst says, "I hadn't planned on it being very big. It would be nice for there to be some decorations though and we thought it would keep the little ones from feeling left out or finding their own ways of helping. He's the one that wants to invite the whole abbey over just about."
Aikuen chuckles, "I guess it's a really big deal for him. But I still don't know why he does want to invite the whole abbey. To make a wedding work you only really need two beasts. The ones getting married. Everything is else is just filler." he hrms, "The little ones will be fine. Probably wont even care much. They probably wont know what it means." he slowly pats Ella's rudder, and she hums happily.
Amethyst picks at her lute explaining, "I think mainly he wanted to invite the abbey champion and that squirrel he's friends with and some other squirrel and then there was some mouse he was wanting to look for to have him come too. I'm not too sure how many beast he's inviting. I only have one beast I'd like to be here other than those that live here and that's more for good luck and because I don't know many beasts other than the ones living here."
Aikuen scratches his chin, naming, "Flicktail, Benar, I'm not sure. And then Zen." he then counts, "That's four. Plus all that's living here. It's going to be a few. But it's not that bad. At least. What it could be." he chuckles, "So. What's the other beast you want to invite?" maybe he can do something about it.
Amethyst says, "Well I was hoping to ask Sk---"
Aikuen gets up from the table, "Heh. I'm sure it will be alright. No matter what happens. Hopefully it wont rain. It rains alot during spring!" he chuckles and picks up Ella, going to rest her head on his shoulder, "See you D.N.L. I'm off to do chores. And to bother a certain lovely otter!" he grins before walking in towards the kitchen.
Amethyst's words are cut off by the otter talking again amd the maid tries to keep up with his line of conversation, " ... uh ... I wouldn't mind the rain too much. It'd be nice if it rained a few days before the wedding make things green up a bit. Eh wouldn't be that bad if it rain on us either really we could just move things inside if it did. ..."
"... see ya," the rat mumbles back some what annoyed at the otter's abrupt departure. "Oh well. Maybe Will 'll see her while he's out and ask her for me," she says to herself take up her lute again.
