The floor is wooden and a large fireplace keeps the room warm in those cold months.Above the fireplace is a large painting of the Chieftain and his mate.In the room also is a table and a few chairs to sit in.A large bookcase is by a far wall with many books of all kinds on it.

Scioto is inside his house, pacing back and forth as he tries to figure out how to go about doing something. He has had little sleep and probably should take a nap, but has refused.

The head guard of the village is certainly pacing as well before he enters the chieftain’s home. "Sir. We have found nothing yet." The fox shakes his head. "No no, too blunt. Sir, I regret to inform you that we have found nothing but we hope to soon!" The fox rubs his muzzle with both paws. "I'm doomed." Taking a deep breath to steady his nerves Bandit walks inside the chieftain's home. "S-Scioto?" The plump fox asks in a nervous tone. "Chief? Are you home?"

Scioto stops as he hears Bandit and then turns to greet him, “This best be good news Bandit, I have been trying to figure out the best way to do this and so far no good ideas have come up"

Bandit taps his paws together, "Yeash..." With a nervous gulp the fox replies, "I Only came to keep you updated. The guards have yet to find anything. B-but we are hard on the case!" the fox pauses to think of the appropriate reply, "Did they ask for a ransom Scioto?"

Scioto shakes his head "No, just not to try and find her or she dies. A case like this needs handled carefully as from what I heard the mouse is insane. A mouse of all beasts...I believe he is insane as I saw him briefly once when he had his ferret shoot me with an arrow that one time in my office"

Bandit dares to step forward, if only slightly. The fox's record at success at being a head guard was not really the best so far. "Maybe then it's time to bring in a...specialist." Bandit folds his paws behind his back. "I'm not sure how you view bounty hunters or mercenaries but they may prove useful. They can go places scoundrels like to congregate more discreetly than Guards. And they generally know the woods fairly well..." Bandit chuckled, "Maybe I can help in some way as well. I'm still rather new as head guard. Maybe...maybe they don't know me yet.”

Scioto hmmms "I am unsure, the thief and Assassin guild was a horrible failure in the village and I got news the group was completely wiped out, and by whom...this insane mouse and his friends. The guild was later burnt down, luckily the fire didn’t spread anywhere major, just a few trees and there was a bad rainstorm. The down pour of rained was a welcome sight to get the fire out, most likely that mouse, Irinevok is his name, was the cause of that as well. So what can you do that’s different. That’s not noticed?" He folds his paws over his chest and listens.

The fox rubs his eyes, "It would help if we knew why he is out to harm your family. It would also help to know what he plans to do now that he has your daughter. If this was a simple ransom that would be something else. But I get the feeling that this beast wants to make you suffer and I don't know why." Paws on his hips the guard asks, "What do we know about the beasts that work for him? Maybe we can get to the mouse through his beasts, or maybe even his family...if he has any. Does he have a home town?"

Scioto shakes his head "No family that I know of, Marek has mentioned the mouse and how he is insane and burnt down a whole village, killed innocent beasts and how the mouse seemed to enjoy it. He is a good fighter also. I do know the head archer is dead, course he could have a new one by now.”

The fox takes this in, then smiles. "That...can actually work for us. Just because the archer is dead doesn't mean that his trail is. I'll send some guards to look into this archers past if they can. See if anyone knows where the beast came from, when he signed up for the mouse’s gang...and where." Bandit pauses to stroke his chin. "Do we have an archer who might be able to fill his shoes? Might be worth a try to see if the mouse is recruiting. Plant a beast on the inside. I wouldn't get too hopeful to see that idea pan out, if I where the mouse I would just hole up somewhere until the situation dies down but, like you said, he's insane." Bandit added, "Did Marek ever say where this village was? I can check it out myself. Might be a good place to start."

Scioto says, "Somewhere north, he..use to be in charge of it and his fortress was there, now its ruins. I don’t believe he lied as it greatly upset him to tell me about it, and he was crying and one can’t fake tears. Marek has changed and seeks forgiveness for past crimes...now weather he gets it I don’t know, I have forgiven him and he is the tavern owner now." He sighs "But you can’t ask Marek anything, he is in a deep faint in the infirm, that same archer tried to kill Blisa and he pushed her out of the way and was struck instead of her. The archer was killed by a guard from Ferravale, near the bridge area."

The fox fidgets an ear but doesn't reply at first. "Alright. I'll head north and...discreetly...try to find this forgotten village. I'll travel three days north, if I don't find anything by then, I will head back. If I haven’t come back in a week well...either I found our mouse or the mouse found me. Either way, it might be a good idea to send a beast after me if I'm gone that long."

The fox nods once, "Is there anything else? Anything at this point, no matter how small a clue, will be helpful."

Scioto says, "I don’t think the mouse is there, but clues maybe. He was heading south which is this way and is most likely in Mossflower somewhere." Scioto then hmmms "Leon may know something on where he was, least for a short while as he had him captive a few days, he also still has the Master Healer of Ferravale"

"IF I can't find the kidnapper, maybe I can at least find his motives. If nothing else, it may help discover his next move." The fox turns for the door. He pauses before he exits, "Scioto. We will get her back." With that the fox takes his leave.

Scioto says, "And..I trust we will get her back, just be careful how we go about doing it. I want her back alive...not dead"
