Vengro's Siege was a major plot from the summer of 1998.

Xern> Truffle whispers,"the attack is about to happen, I was just at violet's
home....they are about
to leave. You need something to defend yourself. This is all I was able to
get...

Xern> Abbela decides to walk along with Aviva.
Xern> Truffle opens up the haversack, pulling out ropes, a several daggers!
Xern> Aviva offers to let Eilonwy walk along with her.

Xern> Joseph looks at the Captain of the Guard, then looking to his sword which
he took.
Xern> Xern blinks at Truffle, the haversack, and the contents.

Xern> Truffle picks up the rope, and heads outside, leaving the other things for
the others...Oh!

Xern> Truffle looks at him, and back at the haversack of weapons she has
smuggleggled in
Xern> Abarch has connected.
Xern> Truffle has disconnected.
Xern> Aviva watches the window.
Xern> Fluffle climbs the stairs from the main yard of the abbey.
Xern> Fluffle has arrived.
Xern> Joseph says in a low voice, "When we hear Violet, attack the guards, the
Captain is mine."
Xern> Xern takes a few deep breaths to calm himself.
Xern> Abarch has left.
Xern> Fluffle pads in, sighing deeply. "F'ffles need fresh air.."
Xern> ( The weasel Deathblood sharpens his dagger. )
Xern> Truffle has connected.
Xern> Fluffle flicks an ear. "Whaf 'dis?" She leans closer to Joseph.
Xern> Waltzer glances at the weasel guard.. and then hobbles over to Aviva,
leading Fluffle by
the paw to a bed.. "Something.. is happening, Aviva.. I *feel* it.."
Xern> Xern stares out through the window. "It's hard to see anything.."
Xern> Waltzer says, "Vengro looks as if he's terrified of something.."
Xern> Aviva nods, "Whatever it is, i intend to be ready for it."
Xern> Fluffle nods. "'ee said sumfink's comin'!"
Xern> You ask, "What's coming?"
Xern> Waltzer glances at the old rat 'Truffle'.. "You.. you have provisions?"
Xern> Truffle hunches over as she reassumes her vermin stature, and slinks out
of the room
Xern> Waltzer says, "Wait..."
Xern> Waltzer limps towards the rat crone..
Xern> Truffle turns back, "ye wan somethin'?
Xern> Joseph says, "Fluffle, stay out of the road when you hear the noise...go
into the Healer's
Dormitory and stay out of the way."
Xern> Waltzer stops in front of 'Truffle'.."Yes.. you were handing out
provisions.. are there any
for the infirm?"
Xern> Fluffle peers over at Truffle. She shrugs, and sits down on a bed. She
glances over at
Joseph. "Why?"
Xern> Eilonwy room-pages, "I am no longer allowed to MUCK - ever - and yes, my
mom did this
to me in the middle of an MP, so goodbye." to you.
Xern> Truffle quickly gathers up her only half-full haversack which many of the
infirm had take
some weapons, and slurrs, "fer de infirm? aye, I've provisions

Dormitory once the fighting starts."

about?"

Xern> Aviva offers to let Nightsky walk along with her.
Xern> Tumbleweed asks, "Huh?"
Xern> Truffle fumbles, unfastening the haversack, "fer ye! thar's only THIS!"
and pullsout a
dagger, holding it out, it gleaming menacingly
Xern> Nightsky decides to walk along with Aviva.

Xern> Nightsky says, "I cin feel it, mates. They're comin."
Xern> Truffle glances at the others, worried that they will not undersatnd
Xern> Fluffle shrieks as she sees the dagger, and hides behind Joseph.
Xern> Joseph looks at Waltzer and lowers his voice, "Violet...she's attacking
the abbey soon."
Xern> Waltzer jumps back, and nearly topples on his injured knee.. he glares at
the rat.. "Don't
pull a weapon in my infirmary!!! hells be to you!!.."
Xern> Aviva nods, "that means the resistance."
Xern> Truffle glances toward the door as she hears the expected comotmotions
Xern> Xern stares out the window, "I still can't see anything..."
Xern> Abbela squints out the window..."Are those BRANCHES?"
Xern> Fluffle glances out from behind the chair. She murmurs, "Ooh, Walfer. It's
a vermints, be
'areful!"
Xern> Aviva offers to let Tumbleweed walk along with her.
Xern> Waltzer suddenly reaches forward to grab the rat's dagger wrist as she
looks at the door..
Xern> Tumbleweed decides to walk along with Aviva.
Xern> Xern looks harder, "Branches? That can't be!"
Xern> Aviva looks out the window, "Yes, they are1 whAT THE *HELL*?
Xern> Truffle turns, and whispers, "SWaltzer! they are coming! let go!"
Xern> Waltzer looks up..perking his ears..then down.. and is eyes go wide..
looking at the
rat.."T..Truffle?!.."
Xern> Tumbleweed takes out her sword
Xern> Waltzer blinks.. but it slowly turns into a smile.. and he let's go of the
arm..
Xern> Waltzer looks around.. and sees weapons.."You smuggled weapons in here?!"
He says in a
low tone..
Xern> Truffle nods quickly, "yer a low down traitor of a rat, ye are!" and
shoves at him
Xern> Joseph pears out the window, "They...they're moveing! They're not
branches...they're
beasts!"
Xern> Waltzer stumbles backwards.. trying not to chuckle..
Xern> Silverclaw descends the stairs to the open field.
Xern> Silverclaw has left.
Xern> Fluffle hops up onto a bed, eyes widening at Truffle and Waltzer.
Xern> Truffle drops the haversack "accidentally " at his feet, "and turns toward
the door
Xern> Aviva asks, "Why the *hell* are they holding braches?"
Xern> Waltzer kneels beside the haversack..
Xern> You say, "Don't look at me."
Xern> Abbela shrugs.
Xern> Clawfeather hops over to the window
Xern> Waltzer peers inside the haversack.. and grins.."Aviva.. Copme here.."
Xern> Truffle mutters, "quick! get a dagger! and who...help is on the way!
quick!"
Xern> Fluffle sighs and plops down on the bed. "F'ffles wanta killa sum
vermints."
Xern> Joseph walks over to Waltzer.
Xern> Xern clenches his fists as he hears yelling drift in through the window.
Xern> Aviva looks at the window, "Anybeast who can fight, come with me! We're
gonna help
them get those gates open!
Xern> Tumbleweed twirls her sword around,somewhat with a little effort
Xern> Aviva says, "take a dagger and use it to pry the gates open. COme on!"
Xern> Abbela nods. "I'm coming. Vengro there looks absolutely troubled.
Xern> Truffle growls out the door, and her vlice returning to normal, "Fluffle!
stay out of the
fight, honey! please don't let yourself get hurt!
Xern> Waltzer opens the haversack.."I think there are plenty of weapons here.."
He points at the
haversack of blades.
Xern> Joseph pulls out his two daggers, one in each paw and points to the
Captain of the Guard,
"Give me my sword, rat."
Xern> Fluffle tilts her head at *Truffle.* She blinks. "Wha...? F'ffles don't
git it.."
Xern> Aviva snatches up another dagger and then motions to everybody, "FOllow me,
people!"

Xern> Fluffle hops off the bed. "F'ffles too?"
Xern> Aviva descends the stairs to the open field.

Xern> This large, open field is a safe place for dibbuns to play. Sometimes, in
nice weather,
feasts are held out here. Looking around, you see many important Abbey landmarks:

her side, still
trying to stay hidden amoung the fog.

his fists out
wildly.

Xern> Lone tunrs and leaps down the stairs to the ground
Xern> Arevin growls, looking agitated..
Xern> Vengro snaps out of his stupor at the sudden outcry.
Xern> Nightsky throws herself into the nearest group of vermin

Xern> Aeysin looks to Arevin grinning, "Is it the end?"
Xern> Xern dashes over and helps Abbela, yanking with all his might at the gates.
Xern> ( The vermin aren't prepared for this...a pathway is quickly opened to the
gate. )
Xern> Nightsky is a fighting maniac, weeks of captivity and anger finally
boiling over, making her
a beserk slayer
Xern> Thanatos glances about at the confusion, his Sabre held in front of him at
the ready.
Xern> With the light of resistance in her eyes, Aviva fihgts her way to the
gates.
Xern> Silverslash shouts "Crows..Atack"
Xern> Tumbleweed yells, "REDWALL!!!!"
Xern> Nightsky follows Aviva
Xern> Lone slwoly unsheathes his sword
Xern> Calleo keeps silent, pressing herself against Great Hall. She tries to
snaek toward the gate.
Xern> Sandigomm runs to the gates
Xern> Tumbleweed follows behind Nightsdky..
Xern> Nightsky exclaims, "REDWALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!"
Xern> Slade runs to teh gates.
Xern> Nightsky jumps at Slade
Xern> ( The army of crows swoop down on the rebelling captives )
Xern> Vengro suddenly turns into the grim war leader he is reknowned for in the
West, and
grimly sasy, "Kill them."
Xern> Sela follows Calleo.
Xern> Thanatos starts to make his way through the confusion nearer to Aviva.
Xern> Clecky shouts "EULALIAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" from RW Abbey: Main Gate
Xern> Slade yells, "FIRE!"
Xern> Calleo mumbles "Are ... ... ... ...", to Sela.
Xern> Nightsky shouts "S'death on the wind!!!!!"
Xern> Lone grins, "With pleasure, sir."
Xern> Nightfur goes In-Character.

Xern> Silverslash gos to get her own attack ready
Xern> Xern wastes no more breath on battle cries, as he helps the others slowly
pull the gates
open.
Xern> Sela shrugs, and nods to Calleo.
Xern> Aviva reaches the gates and starts hacking away wish her daggers.
Xern> Silverslash departs for the open field.
Xern> Silverslash has left.
Xern> Aeysin slinks back into teh mist, unable to se anything, but listening.
Xern> Nightfur looks to Aeysin, "Bout time to get out yet?.."
Xern> Sela bites her lip, and mumbles something urgently to Calleo.
Somewhere on the muck, Guest5 has disconnected.
Xern> Thanatos gets close enough to Aviva, and snarls a challenge as he holds
his Sabre out at
teh ready.
Xern> Aviva removes the bar holdings from the bar firm.
Xern> Joseph works his way over to Aeysin and stops, "A...ayesin?" He shakes his
head and
throws himself into a nother mob screaming as a vermin slices his left paw.
Xern> Arevin shouts at Nightfur, "Come on! This is entertainment, tod!"
Xern> Truffle arrives from the open ground.
Xern> Truffle has arrived.
Xern> Nightfur smiles, "O course it tis!"
Xern> Waltzer arrives from the open ground.
Xern> Waltzer has arrived.
Xern> Aeysin peers through the mist to nightfur, "No... I wanna see dis!"
Xern> Calleo watches the gates, waiting to see if they are open or not. She
nods to Sela, biting
her lip.
Xern> Sandigomm moves to help Xern
Xern> Nightfur walks out of this mist, looking amongst the many fighters around
him..
Xern> Vengro cant throw a dagger witha all the inferno, and so loks on, knowing
his dream is
coming true.
Xern> Nightfur shouts "Hallo Lord Vengro!"
Xern> Arevin paws away some fog, as if she's cutting through butter.. She
watches, with grim
satisfaction...
Xern> Nightsky is hit by an arrow in her paw, but she rips it out, and dives
back into the fray,
covered in cuts and bruises
Xern> Xern, mistaking Sandigomm for vermin, swings out a fist at her.
Xern> Aeysin grins.
Xern> Vengro doesn't hear Nightfur over the din of battle.

Xern> This large dark room is filled top to bottom with casks of various sizes.
The giant ones
called tuns contain beetroot wine, the barrels are mostly for ale. The
kilderkin, smaller casks are
for cordials and such, smaller than that are the firkin, for strong wine. The
room is lit by a couple
lanterns, and smells of a variety of fruits fermenting. A couple rocking chairs
are drawn to one
corner, with a low table between them for snacks or for a game. Once your eyes
get used to the
dark, you could see that one barrel has an interesting opening. If a beast
looked inside, a bed
would be discovered. An empty kilderkin stands near the door, obviously to be
used for putting
garbage in. It is possible to get the impression that the beast who lives here
expects things to stay
neat and tidy.

called tuns contain beetroot wine, the barrels are mostly for ale. The
kilderkin, smaller casks are

room is lit by a couple
lanterns, and smells of a variety of fruits fermenting. A couple rocking chairs
are drawn to one
corner, with a low table between them for snacks or for a game. Once your eyes
get used to the
dark, you could see that one barrel has an interesting opening. If a beast
looked inside, a bed
would be discovered. An empty kilderkin stands near the door, obviously to be
used for putting
garbage in. It is possible to get the impression that the beast who lives here
expects things to stay
neat and tidy.
