Trying to Study and Fails!
RW Abbey: Pond
The abbey pond is practically the place to go for relaxation. The orchards that settle onto one side of the water hole provide decent shade for the more heated months to come. Various types of wild flowers grow about the edge of the ground that lightly overhangs into the pond. The pond seemingly invites one into its cool depths, which holds its fish life and multiple species of shrimp and other water dwellers.
Spring has come. Due to the rains, the abbey pond is just gently lapping at the edges of the ground. Soon to overflow lightly if the spring rains don't let up soon. Plant life seems to explode here in a variety of colors, sizes and aromas.
Exits: [F]ire [P]it, [R]edwall [E]ntry, [P]ath by the [G]reat [H]all, [Dive] in the pond, [O]rchards
Cera walks into the area of the pond, but unlike some others she stays clear of the water and sits close to a shady tree to study.
Sunbreeze looks over at the young ferret and waves slightly with a bandaged paw.
Cera blinks and nods a short hello, she doesn't know the otter so she doesn't speak, she has gotten away from dashing off when she sees a stranger as she has grown a lot in the past few weeks, mature for her still young age.
Sunbreeze smiles, "Hi..I am a bit new here, waiting a friend of mine, he is ta be ere’ '"
Cera nods, "W..w..well I am sure they will be here soon if they...s..said they would"
Sunbreeze looks hopeful, "Your right, just nervous little lass"
Cera says, "N..no need ta wo..worry who is it, m..maybe seen him"
Sunbreeze answers, "His name is Drake."
Cera thinks and nods, "N..Not seen a Drake, sorry"
Sunbreeze says, "Its ok lass"
Drake walks around the abbey or is it pacing, for news or a sign or something and now he seeks out the pond to cool off.
Cera catches sight of Drake and watches him come to the pond.
Sunbreeze has yet to see Drake and then notices Cera look away and happens to look the same way and gasps as she sees Drake and rushes over to him. "Drake!"
Drake blinks and grins widely as he lets Sunbreeze get to him and hugs her tightly, “Your here, ya safe"
Sunbreeze just hugs back and smiles, she is glad to see him and it’s clear.
Cera watches the reunion and smiles a little, she stays under her shade tree.
Drake sighs happy, “I am glad ya be ere', tis safer 'ere I think"
Sunbreeze chuckles, "And I you dear, so what do we do now, stay or..what?"
Cera looks back to a notepad she has that she has written stuff down on, it’s a little sloppy handwriting but she understands it as it’s her own.
Drake asks, "I don't know dearest, we could stay here fer a short while, till your paw tis better anyways, then decide where to go or if ta stay after that, ok?"
Sunbreeze smiles ,"Sounds nice Drake and my paw will be ok, it feels better and the cut wasn't too deep"
Drake says, "I am glad it was tended to and that it is healin' lass"
Sunbreeze says, "Its healing slowly but will be ok"
Cera writes down some other notes as she looks over at the otters again not disturbing them and goes back to her studying.
Drake smiles and nods, he gives Sunbreeze another hug and sighs a little, happy to be with her again.
Sunbreeze says, "I do like it here Drake, it's peaceful and the beasts here are very nice and the food is good too"
Drake shrugs, "Tis not like the riverbank and de woodlands dear”
Cera speaks softly, "R..r..redwall food is al..always good"
Sunbreeze nods in a agreement, "From what I had..tis is very good"
Drake chuckles slightly, he is still very happy right now.
Flicktail comes walking from the direction of the Abbey smiling to see such a congregation of beasts
Cera waves to Flicktail when she sees him, "H..hello"
Flicktail smiles, "Hello there Daughter?'” He says to Cera walking toward her. "How are your healer studies going?”
Sunbreeze sees the fox and right away is a little nervous and stays just a little closer to Drake.
Drake looks over, he holds Sunbreeze close, " Tis ok, he is safe enough and won't harm ya and if he do..well he be hurtin' “
Cera smiles up at Flicktail, "T..T.THE..studies are g..going w..well"
Flicktail smiles, "Hello there Drake....Who is your friend?" He says not taking notice of the he'd be hurting remark.
Sunbreeze is still a little uneasy, but stays calm as long as Drake is here.
Drake looks at the fox and clears his throat, "Tis be me future mate..Sunbreeze"
Cera looks between the otters and at Flicktail waiting to see what happens.
Sunbreeze keeps an eye on Flicktail and lets Drake do the talking.
Flicktail moves to be beside his daughter and looks around a bit confused as to what is going on. he offers Cera his paw
Drake speaks. "Sorry..still don’t 100% trust ya fox, not yet"
Cera smiles at Flicktail, she frowns a little at the otters but keeps any thought coming up to herself and looks at her book.
Flicktail says, "Trust takes time Drake, Time I have....besides I think ya be worth it" He looks to Cera "Cera may I ask you a question?"
Sunbreeze is still worried, "Maybe we can go elsewhere Drake, the orchards..please"
Cera keeps looking in the book and snorts slightly,"w..w..what?" To Flicktail.
Drake smiles "Sure dear" He leds Sunbreeze away.
A young mousling pads on the grass bare clawed through the rain towards the edge of the water, not making much of a sound. Fizzmit wears a small frown, pausing before the edge and attempting to avoid any eye contact with the other beasts.
Flicktail's ears perk, his nose moving as he looks toward the mouse , "Well ello there”
Fizzmit glances up briefly then down to his lower paws, "Hi" Still heading towards the water's edge.
Cera mutters something about dumb annoying otters and hisses a little, she waits to see what Flicktail wants.
Flicktail addresses Cera first, "Do you not like Hugs Cera? if not I won’t do them..." He looks at the mouse, "Where ya going Sir? there is deep water over there”
Rowan stretches slightly as he walks up to the pond to prepare to swim for a while
Cera nods, "I..I d..do just a..annoyed, t..the otter s..seemed mean"
Flicktail smiles gently to Cera, "The otter, just isn't smart yet...but we will show I'm right?" He opens his arms to snug his daughter
Fizzmit looks ignores the fox momentarily and sets his front paws on the dirt next to the water looking down at the reflection. "Here", He says to the fox.
Rowan blinks as he sees the large assembled group. "Um what exactly is going on right now?"
Cera smiles and sits closer to Flicktail, she looks at Rowan," J...just s..stuff and was a rude otter here b..b..but he went away with his..f..friend"
Flicktail asks and looks to Fizzmit , "You looked like you was frowning, why there and can I help?" He nods to Rowan, “Hello Rowan” he says to the Otter ,"now Cera Rowan is a VERY nice Otter"
Fizzmit slashes at the water with his right paw. The reflection splashing and rippling back. Sighing and standing up, "It's a long story." says the mouse.
Cera frowns, "N..n..not him..de other one..t..that one with the female otter"
Rowan smiles and nods to them both. "I think I know who you mean"
Flicktail nods, "Yes I know you meant the other Otter Cera" he looks again to Fizzmit "I like stories”
Benick and Luna come running up to cera, their new Big Sister "Cera...swims?" Luna asks.
Cera frowns and shakes her head at the swim idea
"I want to be older." Fizzmit starts. "Other beasts, older beasts." "They can explore. They don't have bedtimes. They don't get into trouble for running off. They don't have to attend a class." The mouse humphs.
Rowan says, "Enjoy your dibbun hood, I didn't have one and I wish I did"
Flicktail says, "ohhh I think I understands, but...I am an older beast and I go to classes..but I can show you places to explore.....In fact I can show you a few if you like" He says to Fizzmit. He then looks at Cera “you know Rowan is an otter, he might teach ya swimming if ya asks im' "
"And, I'm probably in more trouble from runnin' off now," Says Fizzmit. "What is to enjoy? Why not just let me swim an explore an and..." he trails off looking at Cera and Rowan.
Cera shrugs, "I..not s..swim, will sink"
Flicktail says, "well Rowan and I will show you how.." he looks at the mouse "Wanna go swimmin'?"
Rowan asks, "Aren't they still a bit young?"
Flicktail says, "Not if we are there with them Rowan, wot if one of them fell in with no trainin'...."
Cera says, "T..t..too young for what?"
The mouse's eyes flick lightly, but with only a hint of a smile initially. He looks back at Rowan slightly pleading with his eyes. Fizzmit, kneels again to paw at the water.
Rowan sighs a bit "But they aren't really swimming beasts to begin with but I suppose your right."
Flicktail looks at Fizz "so wanna go swimmin? and I will keep you from bein' in trouble?”
Cera frowns, she scoots a little away and looks at her book
The mouse's frown turns into a grin. "Really?" Fizzmit responds. The mouse looks back towards Rowan appreciatively.
Rowan shrugs a bit, "Doesn't look like I got any choice"
Flicktail looks to Cera "Wanna come in with Rowan and I Cera? we will go slow if ya want....you don't have ta?" He steps into the water some and be by the lil mouse.
"Why doesn't she want to come Flick?" Asks Fizzmit. The mouse takes a few steps into the water until the water comes up to his waist and then begins to paw slightly nervously at his shirt.
Cera frowns like she is afriad, "S..Stay here”
Rowan removes his clothes before diving into the water
Flicktail says, "If that’s what you want Cera" He says and looks to help Fizz with his shirt, " Cera is learning how ta swims yet, and yer Right Fizzmit, gotta have some fun...but please be careful..go with an adult beast so we kin help"
Cera just watches for now, "a..a..almost die..o..once in waters a...and got sicks"
Fizzmit tugs his shirt off and tosses it past the water's edge. "It's squishy here." he says giggling noting the muddy ground. The tail also testing the feel of water.
Rowan pops his head out of the water as he looks at Fizzmit "You don't have a rudder do you?"
Flicktail says, "I promise we can stay shallow cera, if ya want, and Won't let nuttin happen, but if you don't wanna that’s ok" he smiles.
Cera stands "I..I got lessen with B..brother Leon" she heads off to the gatehouse.
