The Wedding of William and Amethyst

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Characters: Nicodemus, Aikuen, Fira, Nicodemus, William, Amethyst, Skuld, Flicktal, Bur

Location: Moledeep, Mossflower Woods

Moledeep: Mole Hall

Nicodemus enters, looking around, rubbing the very tip of tail.

Aikuen is by the table, helping his daughters get into, well, a nicer appearance for the day. As much for an otter anyway. He tugs on Ella's ear, "Stop squirming. And its only for today. Have to look nice for the guests you know. Your mum wont be pleased if your covered in muck." he chuckles before looking up toward the door. Ah, the first guest. And. What a guest it is. The otter smiles, "Wow. Long time no see Mr. Nic." the otter chuckles at the squirrel, "Welcome to Moledeep!"

Nicodemus approaches the otter. "Merry meet. Being once more retired, I'm much more hermit-like these days."

Aikuen pats Ella on the head and leaves her for the squirrel, extending his paw in greeting, "Well. Glad you came out of your shell today. Get it? Shell? Hermit?" he snorts, "Never mind. Glad to see yah. Your the first guest so far..." he chuckles before ohing, "I want you to meet a few beasts while we wait for the rats..." he walks back over to the table and points in turn, "This is Ella. And this... Is Venei. Our twin daughters. Say Hi to Nic. He is an old friend. Go on. Its okay."

Nicodemus shakes the paw.

Nicodemus says, "So, I'm now a crab."

Nicodemus looks over himself. "A shell could be handy. Paint on all new decorations."

Fira has been in the kitchen for a few hours, helping out with things there in the hopes that everything will be ready. She appears in the doorway, wiping her paws off on a tea towel before she heads for the table and the other otters. A polite nod is offered to Nic on the way too "Good day" The twins are a little excitable, Venei trying to get Ella's ribbon to add to her own until the squirrel is introduced and they stare for a moment before Ella summons the courage to wave "'ello"

Nicodemus lowers himself to be the same head-height as the pups. "Merry meet, lass. And to your sister."

William had been in the kitchens as well. He had been trying to help Kentar with the cake but Garnet was already helping him. The rat comes out of the kitchens and into the hall after being convinced that neither his brother nor sister-in-law need his assistance at this time. On entering the hall he catches sight of the old squirrel and he can't help but smile. "Nic. You made it," he says moving forward to greet the former abbot.

Aikuen snorts, "Hey. I'm not the one who said it." Just the one who inference it, "...Make your shell look real nice. Make it blue!" he chuckles. When Fira enters the room, the older otter smiles and his rudder twitches. He then plants a small one on her cheek, "Hey. Everything ready?" he asks, pulling on Ella ear again to make them stop squabbling.

Nicodemus turns to the rat. "You look a far sight better than when I first met you. Good to see you again. I would hate to have missed the day."

Ella whines quietly at the ear tweak and sends a little pouty glare at Aik before she's scooped up by Fira before she can complain "I think so" comes Fira's response to Aik "Nothing's burnt or dropped, I think Garnet has the final touches under hand. It's all coming together nicely"

Aikuen eyes Ella with a tongue poked out. He then goes to heave Venei before she starts to complain about not being picked up as well, "Sounds like everything is coming together nicely. Hopefully nothing bad will come yet!" he snorts, then realizes "OH. Nic. Have you met Fira before?" he nods toward her, "She is me lovely wife!" he grins stupidly.

Nicodemus turns to the otteress. "I do not believe we've met. An honor and a pleasure."

William grins and shrugs at Nicodemus. "Thanks," he says, "You don't look much different."

Nicodemus says, "Ah, one of the few benefits of becoming old. You look decrepit enough that you cease to change."

Fira smiles at Nic and bows her head lightly "It's nice to meet you too"

Ella's happy.

Venei's happy and trying to neaten up dad since she's been picked up, well he started it "N'straight" she mutters.

Aikuen turns his attention quickly towards Will, "Gee. Thanks will. That makes me fell all warm, inside my aging heart." he chuckles and then ergs, "Heyheyhey. My hair is straight enough Venei... I dont wear bows!" he retaliates with a nose to her nose.

Amethyst walks in from the sleeping hall adjusting her sash as it's come undone. "I assume our guest have arrived? Or are there only otters in here?" the blind maid asks not seeming to care too much which it may be.

Nicodemus says, "Otters and a hermit crab."

Will says, "You're welcome Pa. You changed for th better in some ways. Largely thanks to Mum an th twins I think."

Venei sticks her tongue out and pushes at dad's nose "But we gots bows! Muuuum, dad needs a bow!" It's Aik's luck that Fira's looking the other way as Amethyst's arrived "Otters, squirrels, rats and soon to be stoats once they're done in the kitchen. It's all going well so far."

"Don't I get any credit for changing that silly beast?" Kentar asks as he, Garnet, Chris, and Robin step into the room. They're all done up nicely but Chris doesn't seem to like it. "Daaaad, I feel weeeird." He frowns, trying to mess up his slicked back headfur a little, only to get stopped by his mum. "You'll get used to it." Kentar replies with a nod.

Aikuen kisses the top of Venei's head, "No-no me little rudderkin. Ima boy. I don't wear bows. I would look very silly. You both look cute with them on" he chuckles before looking over toward Amy. Fira has got it handled so... And now there are stoats. Place is getting packed already. The otter sticks his tongue at them, "Nope. No credit for you." he laughs.

"Not really," Will says with a smirk in answer to his brother's question.

Garnet keeps a paw on Chris, keep his paws away from his nice clean hair. That she worked so hard on, "Don't touch that. After we are done today. Then you can be dirty again." she hmphs walking over with Kentar.

Amethyst has remained by the archway that separates Mole Hall from the sleeping hall. "Will I be needing my stick?" she asks just listening to the others talk for now.

Skuld enters quietly, skirting in through the door an immediately stepping to the side to look at the gathering within. Her one good eye roving over everyone, with quite a serene smile under her nose.

"If you think you'll need it," Will calls over to the ratmaid then turn to to answer his stepmother, "About six or so but they may not all be able t come." He makes sure to face her so she can catch what he's saying.

Kentar looks towards Amy. "I can get it for you if you want. But you'd better not be beating me over the head with it." he chuckles a bit.

"That wont be necessary. I know where it is. .... Might need it when we go outside anyway. ....." the blind rat says going back into the sleeping hall, likely to fetch her walking stick.

Aikuen walks over to nudge Fira, also get the twins close enough so they will be more interested with each other than with all the new beasts. Might not work. His eyes just glance the beast from the corner of his eye, "Well. If it isnt Skuld. Come on in and be a friend." he smirks looking toward Fira, "How about you? Are you all ready?" he asks.

Kentar nods and shrugs as he turns back to William. "So Will. Excited?" he asks with a grin.

Will nods nerviously, "Yeah. ... kinda. It's strange after waiting so long for today t get here and now it's here. .... I really hope she behaves herself."

Kentar nods a bit. "Yeah. I remember that feeling." he hrms a little bit, looking around. He spots Skuld and smiles, giving a wave before turning back to Will. "But don't worry, if she doesn't, she wont get any cake." he grins.

Nicodemus says, "I've generally found that the one on best behavior is the husband and not the wife."

Skuld smiles to Aikuen as she's seen, but lingers there, near the wall. She's happy enough to watch everyone, and trying to mostly watch the happy couple; though that changes to be just Will' after a moment when Amethyst goes for her stick.

Fira nods to Will before looking round as she's nudged and there's Aik, she smiles faintly. The twins reunited start sticking out their tongues at each other and if you think they're energetic now just wait till there's cake. Fira follows Aik's gaze to Skuld and looks slightly surprised to see the cat there, tiny bit worried too maybe.

William tries to smile at Nic's advice, "Maybe so." The stoat gets an odd look as Will's sure Kentar's showing off somehow.

Nicodemus says, "Even when married with someone less demanding than my own wife."

Nicodemus rubs his chin. "That would be almost anybeast alive."

Kentar chuckles and nods. "Ah. Seems like an interesting beast." he nods before looking towards the sleeping hall. "So. When are we planning on starting?" he asks. "Just wondering."

Nicodemus nods. "Aye, interesting."

William chuckles, "Well I haven't met your wife so wouldn't know how she is. Though I do know how Amy is." The rat shrugs, "Probably whenever Amy gets back we'll head out and get started. .... Unless there's anything we have t do first. I think everything ready. Nobeast's told me any different."

Fira smiles faintly back and Skuld, seems everything will be fine there and then she's nudged again and she raises a brow at Aik. She's lost track of that conversation but she senses he's being cheeky again so a flick is aimed at his ear quickly.

Kentar huhs a bit as Garnet grips his arm. "Yes. I was." he nods. "She forced me to. I did want to have dinner that day so I better have not made the cook angry." he smirks a bit then looks to the rat. "Righto. Whenever she gets back then."

Aikuen ergs at the ear flick. He deserves it and he know it, but that wont stop him from retaliating with a small cheek kiss. He turns to Will next, "All the seats are put up. So im good on my end. Fira? Garnet? Kentar? Food all set up, cake made? Etcetc" he chuckles, "What else is there?"

"It wasn't where I left it," Amy says coming back into the room with her quarterstaff in paw and her lute hanging from its strap. She waves a paw dismissively at the roomful of beasts as she enters. "I've returned. You may all continue with your lives now. I'm sure you all missed me so very much," she states boredly.

Fira nods back at Aik "Yep, there's food, there's cake, should be plenty for all, I don't think there's any more to do there" she does cast a glance at Garnet for confirmation though. She looks back to Amy when she reappears too and promptly bites her tongue

Kentar nods at Aik and smiles. "Yep. We're all set up. Just waiting for the bride!" he chuckles before looking towards Amy with a nod. "We did, yeah!" he smiles.

Nicodemus says, "And nobody ever minds waiting for the bride. It's a very established tradition."

Garnet looks over at Aik and nods, "Its all ready i think. Unless some beast didn't tell me about something else." she shrugs, turning to Fira and nodding. Her eyes are then drawn to Amy.

Aikuen nods at all the 'cooks', "Ah good then. Im ready to head out..." and now the bride is here, "Everything seems to be, all good." he uses his free paw to grab a hold of Fira's, cause he can, and it helps her if she missed something, "Are we all ready to move?" he asks around the room. Get this party started.

Mossflower Woods: Willow Grove

Nicodemus looks much less nervous back under the cover of trees instead of rock.

Kentar follows along with Garnet and the rest of his family. Chris has finally stopped picking at how goofy he looks, focusing more on the cake he'll be having later on.

Amethyst is also enjoying her first time outside since the first snowfalls of last winter. She relies on her staff to move over the uneven ground and around the trees the seats in the grove.

A bunch of logs has been set out under the great willow. As benches for the guests. All around the logs themselves are winter vines. Decorations of some sort. Sitting on on one of the logs in the back is a very disgruntled Kluner with a easel and several sticks of charcoal. He also wears a clean smock for this occasion. He waves lazily as the beasts approach, "Lo'" he says tapping his foot paw on the ground.

William follows behind Amy keeping his eye on her in case she should fall or something.

Kluner nods at Will, "Ye. I am. I thought it would be nice." he explains, "Ill tell you when. Just don't move for a few seconds, and i can get a sketch done. Then i will have it finished some later time..." he nods a bit, sharpening one end of a stick.

Garnet lets go of Kentar, or more liked pried. She then goes to wrap an arm around her little boy, Chris. Waiting for the ceremony to start.

As Will's wandered off back toward the others Amy listens for the cat who was not far behind him earlier.

Aikuen puts Venei in between them, like Fira does. And he pats them both on the head, "Okay. Nows the time to be quiet. Or else no cake. later on." he says to the both of them. Just as a precaution. He smiles, and pats them again.

Skuld is still humming, not far at all. She looks a little fidgety and uncomfortable; the fidgets might just be heard.

Kentar waits patiently for both William and Amy to be ready, the stoat looking over the small crowd, wondering why there weren't this many at his wedding.

Venei starts to 'Aww' but quickly snaps her mouth shut again and puts her paws to her mouth. That didn't count! She still gets cake right? She looks up at dad with big soppy eyes. She has to have cake. Of course all this has Ella giggling at her anyway.

"Skuld? Is that you?" Amethyst asks smiling toward her guest. It had taken a lot of work on her part to be allow to invite the fortuneteller though it was only fair as Will had invited so many of his friends already. "Do you think things will go well today?" she asks.

Aikuen smirks at Venei, he cant's stand the soppy eyes. So he whispers, "What? What was that?..." he dusts his pants, "Did i hear the little 'aww' of a little one? HRM?" he peers over at Venei with a smile. And then chuckling, "... Oh. I guess i didnt... Good for her then.

Skuld looks around. Ah. This isn't actually part of Moledeep surely... So, the rules might not apply. Still, she doesn't draw any fortunes anyway. "Yes. It's me. And I do; very."

Flicktail arrives dressed in a New Tunic, with Redwall Abby's colors. he looks like he has lost weight, but martin's sword is with him by his side. HE has been out searchong for Kate.

William stays still so Kluna can draw him but after a while and with Flicky's arrival he's wanting things to keep moving on. "Can I move now?" he asks the little weasel.

Kentar watches Aik and Venei, chuckling quietly to himself. He then sets his eye on Chris, who is still trying to get his mother's arms away from him. He doesn't notice Flicktail, as he looks down at the ground.

Kluner looks at the rat, with a confused face, "What? Oh. I wasn't drawing you yet. I will tell you when. It will be later on. With the both of ye." The weasel nods a bit with a sly smile still sharpening the stick. Needle like.

Flicktail loosk aroudn to see what part of the ceremony they are in, he's late but got here as soon as he could

Aikuen pats Venei on the head again at the hug. He thinks its downright hilarious. Since he is looking forward, and slightly at his little ones to make sure they don't start causing havoc. He does not see the otter/fox.

Amethyst says, "The rules back at Moledeep shouldn't apply here. I'm told this is just part of the woods and we don't own it. Though I'm sure they'll enforce some of the rules anyway. At least as far as I'm concerned they will."

"Okay." Skuld smiles, but has a nervous look around. "I am sure everything will go well... But, um, I can, you know, um, look, if you would like?" She's a little nervous about everything still, but willing.

Amethyst says, "I would appreciate it. Greatly."

William blinks and for a moment his temper rises but he forces himself to remain somewhat calm as he walk back over to the giant willow tree where Amy and Skuld are.

Flicktail walks over quietly to William...ready to offer a paw of congradulations

Fira raises a brow at the little gathering of cat and rats, Flicktail gets a glance too before she leans over to Aik's ear "What's going on?"

William isn't even half way to the giant willow and there's another distraction. A fox, an otterfox! He smiles and takes Flicktail's paw shaking it. "How are you Flicky? Glad th abbey was able t spare you."

Flicktail says, "oi wouldn't miss me almost son's merrage...kin oi elp any way, ye looked all angry there a moment"

Kentar chuckles a little and smiles as he spots Flicktail. He doesn't greet the fox yet though, deciding it best to do that later. The stoat does however move back to sit down with his wife, figuring there's no point in standing until everyone's ready.

William grins, "Try 'nephew' it's shorter. It was nothing. One of mine, nephews that is, was playing a trick on me or I was on myself I'm not sure. But it's not worth ruining th day over."

Aikuen blinks at the whisper. Or whatever it was. He looks over to Fira and mouths, "Hrm? Oh... " he points to the cat rat thing, "They like each other. As it's really obvious why. Just best to ignore whatever it is..." he then points to the otterfox, seeing him for the first time, "OH. Heh. Flicky made it after all." he smiles.

Flicktail nods 'well...lets get goin... wot we waitin for lets get ye all married" he chuckles

Flicktail flick waves his tail at Aikuen 'ello Mate

The cat's bag rattles for a moment as she digs a paw deep and draws something quickly, taking a glance at it. She actually smirks and lets out a tiny bit of a laugh. "Aw. Sorry. Amethyst, it's Kenaz. Let's say it's... very appropriate. And, has a very good meaning for something like this." She's got a ear to the others, but her eye's watching the bride.

"Go have a seat," Will says to Flicktail, "and send that brother of mine this way. He's supposed t be presiding over this wedding or whatever they call it. He's doing th talking part. And he's shouldn't be sitting over there t do it."

Nicodemus laughs from the branch above. "The talking bits, aye."

Fira tilts her head, if possible she's even more confused than before but for fear of making it worse she doesn't ask again, just sits and watches Will, Amy and Skuld. Oh and the twins but they seem to have settled down for now.

Kentar huhs and ohs, standing up quickly as he hears Will's words. "Well you were taking forever, so I figured I'd just have a seat." he nods, taking position.

Amethyst smirks catching the cat's meaning. "Thank you. And yes it very fitting." Her ears move toward Will and Kentar as they approach. "Seems the wedding is finally getting underway."

Bur has spent the afternoon aimlessly traipsing through the woodland, staff in hand and mind wandering among a variety of light-hearted topics--the weather, the birdsongs, interesting rocks. He fails to notice, until entirely too close to make a stealthy approach, that he has stumbled upon quite the collection of beasts. "Er, why hello!" the rabbit says, blinking several times.

Flicktail says, "ello ere Good Rabbit...bit o a weddin ere...care ta joins us?"

Kentar looks around and spots Bur. But he doesn't say anything yet. He just eyes over the crowd for a few moments before looking to William and Amy. "So. Are we ready?" he asks, looking around, just to make sure.

Nicodemus mumbles from the tree "Aye, let's see these two married."

Bur scratches his head, surveying the mismatched party. "Weddin'?" he echoes nervously, but manages to force an amicable smile.

Flicktail says, "aye oi wanna see ese 2 beasts kiss"

William glances at Skuld before turning his attention to Kentar. He has no idea what to the two maid have been doing all this time but it couldn't be anything really bad as no beast is panicking or anything yet. "I'm ready," he reaches out to take Amy's paw, and giving it a quick squeeze, "Ready?" he asks.

Amethyst says, "Yes I'm ready. Get on with it stoat."

Bur makes a few quick motions to "tidy" himself up, as he notices his appearance is entirely unfit for any sort of ceremony. A hand hastily tidies ruffled fur, loosening a few hitchhiker twigs. With another awkward gesture he tucks in the hem of his tunic.

Nicodemus chuckles at that comment and mutters quietly, "Amen."

Skuld steps back to better watch the wedding proper, a contented smile on her whiskers.

Bur, glancing to the cat as she moves within range, asks quietly, "Eh--so who's gettin' hitched?"

Kentar looks around and smiles. The stoat blinks a bit at Amy and only chuckles. He waits a moment before starting to speak. "We are gathered here to witness the joining of Amethyst and William." he motions to the two rats in front of him. "If there is anyone here who think that these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." he nods, paws folded in front of him as he waits for the inevitable silence.

Nicodemus bites his tongue, always having wanted to say something here.

Bur bows his head slightly, out of respect for the soon-to-be-wedded couple.

Skuld points from William to Amethyst discreetly, flashing a smile to the rabbit, but saying nothing; it's the objection bit after all.

Bur catches the feline's gesture and nods. He shares her smile but, likewise, remains silent.

Aikuen pulls at his chinfur. He just watches Fira, then the twins, back to the rats. He does this with his eyes. He, does not, say anything. As he almost taps his paw quietly on the ground.

Garnet does not say anything. Drawing a claw under her eye. Weddings for some reason do this to her. She just cant help it.

Kentar looks around. When he hears nothing, he starts to speak again. "Right then. As I understand it, these two have written their own vows." he nods, smiling as he nods to William to start whenever he's ready.

Fira glances around the rest of the gathering silently. Yes, she's not saying anything either. Neither are the twins, not cause they really get it but because they both want cake.

Kluner taps the canvas slowly with his claw, waiting for the right moment to capture. Other then that the weasel is quiet as normal.

Flicktail listens to the wedding.

Bur drops into a crouched position, balancing himself against his walking stick. As he observes the ceremony, his smile only broadens; what a wonderful way to top off a long day of hiking! An impromptu wedding invite. Idly, the rabbit wonders if there will be cake.

Skuld perks her ears, smile never leaving her face, as Kentar mentions vows.

William had been holding his breath through the silence. The stoat was told more than once to omit that part. He keeps his eye on the stoat waiting for him to continue. He doesn't know how long one is supposed to wait for objections but at last Kentar is talking again so all must be going well. And then the stoat is looking at him. The rat briefly wonders why he invited so many beasts and he's sure he didn't invite any rabbits but at least its not a hare. He takes a deep breath and turning to Amy and taking both her paws so she'll be more inclined to 'look' at him then the stoat he begins, "

"All that I am and all that I have, I offer to you in love and joy. I will love and comfort you, hold you close, prize you above all others, and remain faithful to you all the days of my life. I choose you to be my wife, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish as long as we both shall live."

William lets go of Amy's paws to let her know he's done and as far as he knows it's now her turn. Why did he invite so many beasts again? Oh yes cause one way or another they're family. Except for maybe the cat and who is that rabbit?

Amethyst takes the hint and starts to pick out a tune on her lute. Apparently her vows are set to music. The blind maid sings rather then says her vows, "The moon hung in a thick crescent like a cast off crust of bread. Under its waxing light I sat while loaming figures drifting in and out around me. Babes poked me with sticks. I was lost in a sea of voices. One went and fetched thee. When I first heard you approach I though more had come to gawk, yet I raised my head. I reached out to see, to test if what I imagined were real. Instead I saw you. I did not believe your words when you spoke to me. What worth are words said in the heat of a moment? How could I know they were true? Under a willow tree we became friends and as the night faded away we slept. I would not stay where I was nor would you allow me to return to what I was so down under the earth we crept."

Flicktail watches standing now respectively but also protectively. he smiles to the Pretty rat Gel

The cat blinks, rather surprised, but smile growing wider at the song. She's very impressed.

Amethyst stops singing and states more simply, "You make me feel safe. You are handsome. I love you." Now it is time for the stoat to talk again.

Bur remains on the sidelines, crouched and observant. The rabbit looks oblivious to the fact that this might have been a 'private' function. He acts as if he could be a long-time pal of the gang; his eyes even get a bit watery as the two rats exchange vows. When Amethyst begins plucking out the song, Bur can't hold back any longer; he's sniffling, wiping at his nose with the back of a sleeve. "Beautiful!" he chirps, but then quickly gulps and glances around. Probably should keep a bit quieter--this is ceremonious and all.

Kentar blinks and looks rather surprised at Amy's vows. He can't help but to smile, looking out over the crowd before looking to the rats again. "The rings, please." he nods, waiting for them to be presented before continuing. "William. Do you take Amy to be your lawfully wedded wife?" he asks.

Will nods, "I do." The two words suggest this is common knowledge and woe to any that says different.

Kentar smiles and then turns towards Amy. "And do you, Amy, take William, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Amethyst says, " ... I do."

Bur rocks from foot to foot in excitement, biting down on his tongue, lest he ring out in yelps and cheers.

Kentar smiles and nods. He faces them both again before taking a deep breath. "Then by the power given to me by...everyone here...I now pronounce you husband, and wife." the stoat pauses for a few long moments with a grin. "You may kiss the bride." he says finally.

Bur rocks from foot to foot in excitement, biting down on his tongue, lest he ring out in yelps and cheers.

William finds it amusing that he's getting his brother's permission for this as it doesn't seem quite fair with Amy having lost her staff when he'd taken both her paws earlier and she'd even had a verbal warning not that any of that stops him but it really does seem fair.

Amethyst is quick to solve this problem. She doesn't wait til the stoat's done speaking but reaches forward to grab hold of her mate and fulfill the stoat's 'order' herself. If he asks she'll fib and say she miss heard him but she doubts he'll ask.

Kluna need not worry his uncle isn't planing on moving, not much anyway. Too busy.

Kentar chuckles a bit and grins at the squirrel as he starts clapping his paws. He blinks a little and looks to Kluna, laughing at him before returning his eyes to the maybe not so happy couple.

Skuld smirks, more so at Kluner's blurt. She's beaming though, lingering back a little, watching the kiss.

Bur freezes at the weasel's outburst. He realizes quickly that the command was not aimed at him; the rabbit relaxes, dropping from his crouch onto his rear. He rests his staff beside him, and slings his arms around his bent knees. A few twigs and leaves shower from the branch above as Nicodemus cackles. Bur ducks his head a bit, giggling, "Oi! A kiss so wondrous it made the sky fall."

Nicodemus drops, no falls, no ... is hanging upside down. "So long as the squirrel doesn't fall, that's fine with me. Those two," waves at the newlyweds, "don't need my wreckage on this day."

Fira bites her lip to keep from smirking too much and starts to clap, she even leans down to whisper to the twins and a moment later they're clapping wildly all over the place.

Bur has his hands over his head--as if the weakly things might 'catch' a plummeting squirrel. Or maybe just to deflect the impact. "Agreed--no falling squirrels," he clucks nervously.

Aikuen reaches over and takes Fira's paw, smiling at his son. And now daughter-and-law. The otter chuckles at the the weasel and he smirks at Fira before watching the newly weeded couple again. He is... Happy for them. When the clapping starts he starts to clap as well like the rest of them, "Yay!" he yells out. Yeah he is.

Kentar chuckles a little at the otter dibbuns. But he only laughs more at Chris's reaction. "When's the cake?" the little stoat asks, smiling widely as he claps.

Amethyst lays her ears back to better ingore everybeast, save one. She happily keep this up til they all left but she can't as her legs are starting to complain from standing on her tip paws for so long.

Bur musters up a bit of confidence in the old squirrel's acrobatic ability. He allows his raised hands to join in a furious clap. He hollers, "Congratulations t'the newlyweds!" and then blinks. "Yes--the obvious next step is cake." The rabbit ahems softly.

Nicodemus releases the branch and rotates slowly, too slowly, except he lands on his footpaws anyway just fine. He extends a paw to the rabbit. "Merry meet. I'm Nicodemus."

William lets Amy end the kiss. She did start it why not let her end it. He can tell she's liable to fall over if she tries to walk with stiff legs so only one thing to do. He smirks a bit as he scoops her up into his arms. "Ok now time for the cake. What do you all think?" he asks turning to look over their guests.

Bur grasps the squirrel's paw firmly. "Bur," he states. "Nice t'meet you, as well."

Nicodemus smiles to William, "Congratulations, and you didn't even need to be threatened with a knife. Young beasts these days."

Kentar laughs a little bit and nods at the cake suggestion. "Cake sounds good to me! After all, I am a great cake maker!" he nods. He then looks to Bur for a few moments, tilting his head. He shrugs a little and goes over to the rabbit with a smile. "Don't think we've met you before." he nods.

William grins, "That's cause she told me we were gonna be married today last summer. And many times in between. Plus she does more than just threaten with that stick of hers."

Nicodemus ahs. "So, things aren't quite so different. That's good to know. Even if my wife was a bit more direct with the knife..."

Bur rises to his feet, dusting off his trousers. "So," he says, glancing at the others. "Might I inquire as to your names as well? And compliment the lovely ser--" He barely finishes speaking, before Kentar addresses him. "Aye--don't think we've crossed paths. I'm Bur. Just a traveler, more or less; was doin' a bit of hiking before I stumbled upon your merry festivities."

Nicodemus follows along with the others...

Aikuen snorts at all the cake wanting-ness. He picks up Venei in his arms, expecting Ella to be picked up by Fira, "Yes. The ceremony is over now... Cake time." he chuckles at the rest of them, extending a paw to Fira. Aik blinks as Venei continues to clap, "Yes yes Venei... Stop that! You little nut." he chuckles.

Kentar chuckles a little and smiles with a nod. "Ah, I see. Well." he extends out a paw. "I'm Kentar. The two that were just married are Will and Amy. And the rest I'm sure you'll meet later on." he nods. "Feel free to join us for cake if you want. I made a big one so there's more then enough."

Bur nods, sharing a broad smile with Kentar as he takes the stoat's paw. "Thanks for the invite--and for lettin' me intrude on your service. Like I said, it was lovely! And cake sounds fabulous. A lovely bunch o' folks y'all look to be, if you don't mind me gushing."

Fira scoops up Ella and starts a little chant with her as she walks "Cake cake cake cake cake" that'll keep the dibbun going forever, or until they get to the cake anyway.
