From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Characters: Aikuen, William

Location: Moledeep

Moledeep: Infimary

The otters are leaving the infirmary today! HOORAH! Happy days are here again. Tillim has given Ella a clean bill of health, and has given some sort of medicine to Venei, that will help her prevent, from getting it for the rest of season.

Fira is putting on a bigger dress/smock for the young otters today. These will help them with their new range of motion and to accommodate their new burgeoning size. Also very warm for the winter season.

Venei sits in Aik's lap, clothed eating an apple slice. While Ella grrs and tries to run away from her mother. Wants to be nakey. Aikuen nudges Fira and laughs. He is sitting next to his wife, and light paw on her shoulder.

William peeks into the infirmary and smiles as Fira wrestles with Ella, trying to get her dressed. He hadn't seen the otters much since Ella'd become sick and when he did see them they were sleeping. "How're the twins doing?" he asks stepping into the room.

"-illy!" Venei giggles and points to the emerging rat.

Aik chuckles and pats her on the head slowly.

Venei stops pointing and grabs her fathers paw 'helping' him rub.

Aik grins "Hello Will, They're doing just fine. Perfect really. All in their ottery selfness!" he chuckles.

Ella grrs and barks loudly before running on all four paws over to Aik, diving into his lap,

"Hey... Miss nekky... get over there!" he hands her back to Fira.

Ella gives Aik a look, like 'Traitor'.

William chuckles at Ella, "Don't you know it's cold today, silly otterpike?" He nods some at Aik, "That's good. By the way when did we get a mouse? A mouse in a habit no less. Abbey run out of room or something?"

Ella still grrs quietly, but it's getting easier to dress her now. She seems to give up...for now...

Aik tilts his head at Will, "That's Tillim. He is a Redwall healer. He come to help with Ella. He is just staying around. Though i don't know why now, as Ella is all better again. He has no real reason to stay here...." he hums quietly, "But he can stay as long as he wants, as far as i'm concerned..."

Fira erks and finally sees Will, huffing quietly, "Hey. Will. Come on Ella..." she grrs lightly at her daughter.

William waves a little at Fira. "Probably doesn't want to go back to the Abbey," Will says sitting down in a nearby chair.

Aikuen nods a bit, "Aye. I think so too. Every time i bring it up, he always grumbles about it. I don't know..." he shrugs and chuckles.

Venei mmms happily until Aik stops, and then she is out and about! Nearly jumping from her spot she runs (on all fours) to the side of the bed and stands, "-Illy!" she raises her paws in the air, as if she wants to be picked up.

William cocks his head at Venei, "Kentar trying to teach you to talk? Of all the beasts around here you have t copy him?" He stands up and stares at her a moment, "What do you want you little jabberer?"

Venei uses her rudder to keep balanced on the bed as she moves her paw above her head, "-Illy! -Illy!... Ups!" she giggles and then Hrms loudly.

Fira has managed to tangle Ella all up in the clothes. Her rudder is coming out the head opening. Fira huffs and tosses the bundle to Aik, "Okay. You take her. It's your turn..." and she flops tiredly onto the bed.

Aik snorts, "What is this mess?" as he tries to straighten her out.

Will smiles at Vennei then make a big show of looking around, "I don't see any 'Illy', Vennei. And I don't think you'd confuse me with that healer mouse so I'm not sure who you want. Try an say it again.

Venei frowns slightly, "Ups -illies!!" she then makes grabby motions at the rat. She doesn't know that she is saying it wrong. She just says, what's easiest for her.

William sighs and reaches for the little green-eyed otter. "Ups? You need 'ups' or you want 'ups'?" he asks tickling her sides a little.

Venei smiles and giggles loudly when she is picked up, "Yay Ups!" as she holds on to the rats paws, wiggling her rudder from side to side. Then wiggling all over the place when she is tickled.

Just like Fira. Ella is now officially clothed, much to her displeasure, "There yah go..." Aik says. He then places her on top of Fira's stomach who uffs and eyes Aik, "Thanks..." she chuckles.

"Yes. 'Ups'," the rat grins raising the otter up high, "How's the view up there? You know one these days you'll be a giant size otter like Pa an Mum, Ella too. What ya think of that?"

Venei ooo's when she is raised placing her footpaws against the rats arms to keep from completely toppling over. And then giggles loudly holding her arms in the air, "Ups... Highs..." wagging her rudder.

Ella scans the room for a few seconds before grabbing onto Fira's dress, "Mums..."

Fira chuckles before slowly getting up and setting her in her lap, "Yes... Mums... and Aikuen is Dad... Go it?"

Ella excaims,"Mums!"

"One little one at a time it seems" Aik buts in, placing his paw back on her shoulder.

William's arm are getting tired and he lowers Venei back down a little. "That's it you pikefish," he calls over to Ella, "Now you're both talking."

Aikuen chuckles at Will and holds out his arms, in case the rat wants to take a load off from the little otter, "Aye! But Ella can only say 'Mum' While Venei can say many words. Mostly things she wants... And names of beasts. Like you for example. Ella on the other hand can almost walk by herself. Venei still needs to be helped around."

Venei barks softly.

Ella looks into Fira's eyes and says "Mums!" and giggles.

"Aw. What's the matter Venei? You'll be walking too before long," Will says passing the babe to Aik.

Aikuen takes Venei and smiles at her, locking her into his arms, "Hello My green eyed rudderkin!"

"Daddy Daddy Daddy! Warms..." she blurts out and giggles and smiles. Cuddling up into his warm arms.

Fira chuckles at them both before getting up, "Come on Dad. I think it's time they got back to their crib. You said today..."

"Aye I know, I know... Come on Fi... Lead the otter excursion!" he chuckles and stands up as well, "We'll see you around Will!" he says as he follows his Wife out the door, and back into their room. Glad to be out of the infirmary, after so long.
