The Side Of Good, Doesn't Always Win(Frosted Arrow Log)

The afternoon was clear and bright, it seemed, least weather wise, the day would be good. But things don’t always stay fine as coming towards the camp was Bora and his group, armed and ready to fight. The Frosted Arrow had 45 beasts strong now after gathering a few extra after the defeat earlier, today he didn’t plan on defeat, he planned to win.

Zurrgg was also there with about 8 foxes and a couple ferrets he had working for him, he was ready to fight to the death.

Blazeingfangs frowned, his group was not as large as Bora’s, but they were brave and he knew this. He nods to those gathered “Looks like we fight then, ready or not.”

Flare nods “Well I bally well be ready that’s for sure.”

Hyde nods, he doesn’t speak but he has a longsword and is ready to fight. He also has armor on.

Zee has not worn armor in a long while, but today he does. He uses a borrowed sword from one of the injured wolfs, he narrows his eyes as he watches Bora come nearer “I am ready my old friend” He speaks to Blazeingfangs.

Blazeingfangs nods to Zee “I am glad to have you here as well my friend.”

Bora raised his arm and then lowered it, that started the fight, it started the battle.

Zurrgg charged forwards and easily took down a young wolf and chuckled as he killed him, he spined his blade and stabbed another wolf and smirked, “This is fun…”

Zee might be deep in his seasons, but he can still fight and he has secretly been getting back in shape again. He also manages to kill 3 foxes of Zurrgg’s before he gets an injury to his upper left arm, he pants and holds his arm, but he stays alert.

A healer quickly comes to tend to Zee, this healer is either brave or stupid to be on this battle field, but he does have a wolf guarding him to at least try to keep the healer from harm.

Blazeingfangs has taken down maybe 5 beasts, he also has cuts to his chin, arm and leg and a rather bad gash on his left side, but he still fights. He backs off just long enough to ripe his robe and makes a bandage for his side, then he is back in battle.

Flare fights with a weasel, the hare wins but he does get a cut to his already half gone ear and grumbles as he stands ready to fight off more of the Frosted Arrow.

Both sides are losing beasts and for now it’s hard to say whom is wining. The arctic fox, Bora, keeps an eye on all the going on around him, he has his own blade he is using, but under his cloak he seems to have another blade that’s yet to be fully seen.

Hyde is fairly good at fighting and killed a couple of the beasts on Bora’s side. He tenses up as a weasel gets a good slice at his shoulder and he backs up letting one of the tribe wolfs fight the weasel as blood goes down his arm as it’s a fairly deep wound, all the way to the bone in fact.

Zurrgg sees the badger and smirks as he goes to attack him, He is down to 6 of his own beasts now, “Hello!” He has his twin blades out as he angles them and goes in for an attack ” And hopefully goodbye!”

Bora goes to where he is close to Zee” Zee Winters fight me!”

Zee spins around and narrows his eyes at Bora, he gets into an attack position and speaks “If that’s your wish, but I don’t think either of us will come out of the fight unharmed”

Blazeingfangs fights off a couple weasels and ferrets and pants as he is getting tired of the fight, but he knows he must go on.

Flare kicks at a rat and beheads another and grins, “Don’t lose ya head ya vermin scums!”

The fighting is getting intense on both sides, the Frosted arrow is down to 20 beasts and the Flowing Stream clan is down by 1/3, but the remaining 2/3 still fight best they can.

Hyde gets hurt in the fight, and narrowly avoids life threating injuries, but the content hitting of his armor loosens it some on the he is also getting worn out as he blocks another hit and drops to his knees. Blood on his injured shoulder and a cut on his left cheek. Armor helps lesson injuries to his chest, but the padding on his arms and legs have weaken and become loose now.

Zurrgg grins and lays his sword at the badger’s throat “I think I will let you live, you would make a nice pet for me.”

Hyde growls but stays still as the blade is at his throat.

Flare glances over and frowns “Hyde!” He then goes towards his friend to try and help him.

Bora meanwhile makes the first move in attacking Zee and grins as the two fight.

Zee meets the blade with his own blade, once he misses a block and gets a cut on his leg above the knee and steps sideways. He then goes to disarm Bora of his blade if he can.

Blazeingfangs sidesteps as he fights off a couple weasels and looks around as he frowns, all this death and injuries, all the pain makes him frown more.

Zurrgg looks at the hare “Oh yes do attack me, attack me and you see a lot of red come from him, I do not think you want that bunny…” His voice is cold as ice.

Bora growls as he is disarmed of his weapon, he starts to reach under the cloak he wears when another idea comes to mind and he shouts “Halt fighting!” All of the 18 Frosted Arrow beasts left stop and look to their leader, still alert they stand ready.

Flare narrows his eyes but he lowers his weapon and then blinks “Fight over?”

Blazeingfangs watches carefully, the fighting stops on his end as well as beast stop fighting slowly, one younger wolf faints even.

Zee narrows his eyes at Bora, “Do you surrender Bora?”

Zurrgg growls, “What is this!” He looks very displeased, that and he only has 4 out of 10 beasts of his own now.

Bora smirks, “Calm yourself Zurrgg and bring me the one know as Hyde Winters.” He keeps an eye on Zee, “Surrender? Why should I do that , just cause I stopped the fight doesn’t mean I am surrendering, it simply means all can better pay attention to me…old friend, hee hee”

Zee snarls “We are not friends Bora” He looks to the wildcat and frowns, and back to Bora “You will tell him to release my son and then your surrender.”

Zurrgg brings Hyde over to Bora, but he doesn’t release him, lest just yet he doesn’t . “I only follow Bora’s words, though I am thinking of not right now, I do like to have a badger as a pet..sides..keeping a captive gives one reason to..think doesn’t it?” He smiles coldly.

Flare crosses his arms over his chest, but says nothing as he waits to see what will happen.

Bora looks to Zurrgg, “Do hand the badger over.” He will make sure Hyde stays beside him as he speaks “All of you, should listen closely to what I have to say. I will not surrender…I seek revenge and revenge I shall get.” He quickly draws forth…The Blade of The Northwinds Storm and lays it on Hyde’s throat ”No one move” He says in threating voice, he looks to Zee and smiles coldly.

Zee snarls more and grips the blade he was given. “ That blade does not belong to you.” He does his best to keep his voice calm.

Blazeingfangs tenses up and frowns as he knows that sword well, he gets a look of concern as Bora speaks.

Flare frowns, half of him wants to charge the fox and half of him is too scared to.

Both sides wait and watch Bora to see what he will do next.

Zurrgg looks bored and steps back, he snaps his fingers as the remaining beasts of his own go to stand beside him, “Well, I do hope this gets interesting.”

Bora smirks, “It does now.” He fiddles with the already loose chainmail and goes to attempt to take it off the badger, or least loosen it some more. If he is able he will have a weasel help, all the while keeping the blade close.

Hyde frowns, he can’t really risk moving too much, The chainmail is loosened more so that it sort of has one side about ready to fall off and sag more to one side than the over. The weasel indeed does get the chainmail the rest of the way off. Leaving the badger’s chest not as protected, he has leather armor yes but not the chain mail now.

Zee narrows his eyes and looks ready to stab Bora at any second, it’s taking all he has to not rush forwards but he doesn’t want to endanger his son’s life.

Blazeingfangs steps forwards, “Bora..I surrender myself, please release Zee’s son.” He can figure out a way to get the Blade of The Northwinds Storm back later, for now he needs to think on how to avoid any more death today.

Flare steps closer to Zee, “I say fox chap, release me badger friend…” He looks to Blazeingfangs and frowns “Don’t surrender to him, that’s what he wants!”

Flowermist gasps as her mate Blazeingfangs speaks, she frowns and looks ready to cry.

Bora looks around as he lays the Blade of The Northwinds Storm on Hyde’s throat and chuckles “Ya know hare, I DID want the chieftain to surrender, least that’s one wish I had. Now I know I missed a chance to kill Zork Winters..how I would of LOVED that, but…” He twirls the blade and angles it, he suddenly stabs it towards Hyde’s chest! Now the badger could move or fight back, any number of things could happen, but if the blade finds it’s mark he will forcefully rip it out and proceed to press and slide it against the badgers throat. ”Killing Zee Winter’s son is even better!”

Hyde is in too much shock at the fact he was just stabbed, the blade enters a lung and barely misses his heart, but it does enough damage and more damage as its drawn out. His eyes are full of pain and he goes to grab at Bora’s wrist and push him off him and tries to keep the blade off his throat, but blood lose and trouble breathing is quickly weakening him.

Zee is instantly moving forwards now, blade drawn and slicing at Bora’s back!

Flare screams “Hyde!..Zee wait!”

Zurrgg smiles “Well this is interesting, and fun to watch.”

Blazeingfangs frowns, “Nooooooo!”

Bora has two ferrets go to try and keeps Zee away as he goes to lock eyes with Hyde and smiles coldly, the badger’s claws sink into his arm but he goes to force him to the ground and once more try slicing his throat, all the while keeping eye contact with him, “Just..die badger. This is much better…kill the son instead of the nephew!”

Hyde falls backwards weakly and the blade goes across his throat, life light fades from his eyes and he goes limp.

Zee slices of the head of one of the ferrets, and the second one gets a slice to the chest, his eyes then land on Hyde and he stops his run towards Bora, “My Son!!! Noooooo!”

Zurrgg grins and goes to make a fist and goes punch Zee in the jaw while he is distracted.

Flare gasps and drops to his knees when he sees the lifeless form of his friend…”Hyde…nooo…no”

Blazeingfangs eyes widen and tears come.

Zee is overcome with grief and the punch easily connects and he is out cold.

Bora grins and walks forwards, he looks to Blazeingfangs “Oh yes you surrendered..didn’t you…tie him up Zurrgg…” He seems to not really care if Zee was knocked out and looks down at him “Fool..someone tie him up as well.” He looks around “This land is mine. You beasts are now my slaves. Any questions…” He doesn’t really wait on a reply as he nods for them to be surrounded and smiles coldly “Good..”

The clan of the Flowing Stream is surrounded and taken captive, the group was already small and now its smaller, only about 10 beasts now not counting Flare and Zee, or the chieftain.

Blazeingfangs looks down as tears go down his face, this is not what he wanted, he is tied up and led to where ever they will be held.

Zurrgg smirks and nods, he does what he is told.

Flare has managed to quickly slip away, with a couple wolfs, ”Ok chaps, we need ta find help….anyone for a quick trip ta Send?” The wolfs nod and the 3 slip off, Send is a good 5 and a half day trip on foot paw, but that’s their goal! It’s his only idea for a plan and the only hope his friends have. There is hope left after all, as even a faint bit of hope is something.

A place is picked to keep captives that are well guarded, but the chieftain is keep away from the others, the artic fox Bora smirks as today he has won. He sits in a chair that was found and grins “Beasts are right, revenge is sweet, ever so sweet.”
