The Shrew Leaves...Redwall Log

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Redwall Log:

Its short..it’s a log…yeah….

In Log:

Leon-Brother and Master Healer of Redwall

Sorex-A shrew and now no longer welcome at Redwall

Benar-Abbot of Redwall

-Spoofed: 2 random guards and a small few abbey beasts on wall top.

Starts in an old office 3nd floor abbey

Sorex is back in the room, only this time better guarded so he doesn’t slip out, or in his case pick the lock again. He paces back and forth but least he isn’t tied to a chair, but maybe he should be. Nothing in the room but a blanket and pillow, well least he has that, but the door is guarded this time.

Leon decided to check on the guest, and to get some questions answered, as he is by the door and peers in watching the shrew before he speaks "So..why did you try and hurt a dibbun for, also you should work on your choice of words, just good advice"

Sorex glares at the mouse “A Fox....is it not clear and choice my words?" He chuckles and rubs his throat some, it still hurt but he ment what he said “You need to control your stripe dog friend."

Leon frowns, he shakes his head and starts to say more.

Benar stops in the corridor outside and frowns, "Brother Leon... why are you interrogating Sorex?" He steps up next to the door and nods to the guards who step forward to stand in the now open doorway barring the way to the Abbot and the Healer. "Hello Sorex, I am Abbot Benar, I've been hearing a lot about your activities since you arrived in the abbey. I wanted to speak with you."

Leon nods "Hello Abbot Benar, I was checking on our...not so good guest, seems he has almost injured one beast and about killed Flicktail and Rayen's daughter by the pond....."He looks at the shrew again and shakes his head; he will just let the abbot handle this.

Sorex folds his arms over his chest" Vermin...and why would this abbey care, why would they even let them wander around here?"

Benar shakes his head, "Because they are good beasts, those foxes have done nothing to harm anyone, they have shown us nothing but peace and kindness and caring. They are not enemies simply because they are a species you do not like." He sighs, "I am afraid after everything that you have done Master Sorex I must ask you to depart the abbey. I will not tolerate violence or attempted murder within these walls."

Sorex walks closer or as least as close as he can get to the abbot, " No vermin is good and small ones get older and cause problems like a rat a couple seasons back that broke into my hut...I gave chase and gave up and when I got home some others were at my hut, let’s say I have no hut now or family and I decided vermin should be purged from anywhere, came to find them here and I care not, vermin are vermin and those who got in my way are fools" He smirks “I ment what I said about the fox kit, hoping she was dead..sadly she is not. Seems your stripe dog disliked my words and tried to strangle me, perhaps you should control it"

Leon keeps an eye on the shrew and frowns, he stays quiet on the matter as the shrew wasn't hurt, well much, he stays where he is and listens as they talk.

Benar shakes his head, "I have little need to control the badger, you were attempting to murder a child... I am sorry you lost your family Sorex, but murdering the residents of this abbey is not going to bring them back or honor their memories" He sighed sadly and stepped back, "I am sorry for your loss but I am afraid you cannot stay in the abbey whilst you continue to threaten those who live here in peace."

Sorex doesn't move forwards, one there is guards here as he makes a fist as if he would like to and punch the abbot, keeping his paw in a fist he speaks "Fine, I don't want to stay in your abbey anyways, a place that welcomes vermins are foolish and your foolish as well."

Benar says, "I am sorry you feel that way, for seasons uncounted we have welcomed beasts of every kind into our abbey and not a single one of them has caused us trouble... not for seasons un-numbered now."

Sorex shrugs "Whatever, so I am to be escorted out then? Fine with me and not to worry I don’t plan on stepping back into this place"

Leon listens, but he does stay out of the way and seems glad the shrew is leaving.

Benar says, "I am afraid you have left me with little choice, these guards will escort you to the gates, we will give you enough food to last five days but you will not be permitted back without our walls unless you change your attitude quite severely"

Sorex looks to the guards and back to the abbot, “My attitude is not going to change..Abbot." He looks to get ready to punch the abbot, but he does wisely stop when the guards step in front of him and snorts, his voice hateful" I will be glad to be away from this place" His paws rest at his sides now.

Leon starts to go forwards himself but then the guards handle it and he stays off to the side. “Maybe he should be escorted out now, I am sure they have those supplies ready for him"

Benar lets the two guards escort the shrew to the gates.

RW Abbey: Main Gate

You are at the main entrance into Redwall Abbey. The gates are a a massive, double-doored wooden affair, reinforced with iron, and with a heavy latch and crossbar on the inside to prevent would-be invaders. While the gates almost always stand open, you get the impression that the builder of this portal designed it to be nigh impregnable. The entrance arch is amazingly thick, denoting the strength and thickness of the ancient walls themselves, which, despite the upheavals of the past, and numerous cracks present in the rose colored stone, still stand tall and strong. Uncountable pawprints can be seen in the dirt, leading both in and out of the Abbey. Along the bottom of the wall on either side of the arch, weeds and wildflowers can be seen in plenty.

The rising sun brings a soft glow to the old Abbey stones. The air is crisp and a little chilly, and there is a thin layer of dew on the grass and weeds at the foot of the walls, and on the grasslands beyond the dirt road. There is birdsong on the wind.

Only one of the gates is opened and that only a small way. The two guards walk out with Sorex and one of them offers him a large backpack full of supplies. The abbot himself is nowhere to be seen but a few curious abbey beasts are standing on the wall top looking down.

Sorex takes the backpack but doesn’t say the usual thanks, he didn’t expect the abbot to follow him as he did almost punch him and most likely would of had the guards not been there. He just looks at the curious abbey beasts and heads on down the road south.

Leon watches from the wall top, he shakes his head and backs away to the steps and sits down, he is not totally over high places, he can handle it a short while. He then stands and heads on down the steps and back onto the abbey grounds, he has a dibbun fox to check on.
