Location: Moledeep, River Moss

Molehall:

Kentar is sitting alone in the hall today. The stoat is back from the abbey, and after having had a nap, he's decided to do a little bit of wood carving. He's laying back in his chair, footpaws on the table, working away at the wood.

Aikuen comes into the hall, bearing his pack, and his short sword is attached to his back. He tilts his head at the stoat, but doesn't say anything, as he goes to plop the empty pack on the table. Without so much as a hello, he heads off into the storage chamber and returns with a large rolled up tarp, and a large bedroll. He stuffs them into his pack, "Get in there you little..." he grunts, "There... Ug... Hiya Kentar!" he smiles at him.

Kentar's ear flicks a little as the pack is shoved onto the table. He looks up and smiles. "Hey...Aikuen?" he blinks as the otter goes. "Uh. Okay." The stoat shrugs and goes back to his work only to look up again when Aik pushes the tarp and bedroll into that pack. "Oh. Hi Aikuen." he smiles. "So. Getting ready for the big trip?"

Aikuen nods and smiles, "Aye! I cant wait! I haven't seen a holt... since my old one when i was a pup... Excuse me..." he heads off into the sleeping hall. He quickly returns baring a healers belt and kit. He stuffs both into the pack, "Hopefully i wont have to use them... but you never know..." he shrugs. The otter eyes at what looks like a wood carving in the stoats paw, "Whatcha makin'?" he asks, taking the canteens off the pack to go fill with water in a minute.

Kentar looks up then smiles a little. "What? Oh. Just a thing." he says, carving a little quicker before doing a bit of details into the wood before slipping a long gold chain into a little hole at the top before clasping it together. "I made you something for your trip." he smiles softly and holds up a carving of two otters that resemble Fira and Aik, both holding a little baby otter in their arms. "I thought a...going away present would be a nice idea." he smiles.

Aikuen tilts his head at it, a big ole' grin starting to grow on his ole' ottery face, "Oh wow mate! That's wonderful! Thank you, matey!" he glances to the baby otter carved in their paws, and his smile grows a little bigger, but he doesn't say anything about it yet. He places the canteens on the table, and walks over to pick up the carving, and runs a paw over each otter, admiring it, "That's beautiful mate... What did you put in their?" he asks, he obviously caught that at least.

Kentar tilts his head a little and then smiles softly. "What did I put in there? Love, affection..." He laughs, the stoat unable to help that reply, putting his carving knife down. "I'm glad you like it. I worked on that all night long." he chuckles quietly.

Aikuen keeps the carving in his paws, twisting it this way and that way. When he says the first part he chuckles quietly, "I hope so mate, that you didn't make it with hate!" he smiles. He places the carving on the table and sets it so that when Fira comes in from the sleeping hall, it will be the first thing she sees, "Like it? I love it mate!" He grins, and goes back to his pack, shouldering the canteens, "Fira will love it... Now, what was that gold-chain-thing you put in there? Or is that Love and affection in solid form?" he chuckles.

Kentar smiles and watches him for a few moments. "Its a gold chain so you can wear it if you'd like to." he chuckles. "Or you can take it out if you don't want to and give it back." he laughs a little. "Anyways. I'm glad she will. It was my plan." the stoat chuckles quietly. "So. You otters better bring me back something nice." he smirks a little.

Aikuen nods, "Ah!... Well i'm going to keep it! Give it to Fira if she wants it." he chuckles, "Of course i will get you something mate... something for everyone ... I'm a complete duffer with gifts... but i'm sure we can think of something if we put our brains together!" he smiles, "Be back soon!" he laughs and walks out of Moledeep, with the canteens. He soon retunrs minus the canteens and walks back to his pack, "Lets see... what else?

Kentar nods then chuckles. When Aikuen leaves, he packs up his wood carving tools and sets them under the table right before Aik comes back. "So Aikuen. When are you two planning on leaving?" he asks.

Aikuen scratches his head, and counts off things on his claws. The Kentar asks, and he looks up "Hmm? OH! Ummm... As soon as we are both ready, to move it on out... She is still getting ready. Usually she doesn't have too get ready because of her past life. But i told her to bring some books and stuff... PARCHMENT!" he smiles and runs off to the storage chamber, and returns with a few scrolls, and some charcoal sticks, "Almost forgot... Wheh..."

Kentar nods a little then laughs. "Haha. Well Aikuen. I'm glad you two are going. You two really need a getaway." The stoat laughs again. "You need any help packing or anything?" he asks.

Aikuen smiles and nods, "Aye! I think this will be good for us! Plus i get to see her old home... something i cant do the same to her..." he looks down for a few seconds, then looks up and smiles, "The last thing we need is... well food!" he chuckles, and picks up the pack heading off to the kitchen, "Come on, you can help me in there!"

Kentar laughs and nods, standing up and following. The stoat goes into the kitchens, grinning to himself.

Kitchen:

Aikuen enters the kitchen, and goes over to the stove/oven contraption, and opens the rock door. Reaching he pulls out some of his famous hardtack, that he made a few days ago. And, for Fira, a few scones as well. He wraps them in thin cloth and shoves it into his pack, "Oi! Kentar! can you get a few big jars and fill them with the stew... I'm gonna go look for some veggies and fruits... if we have any left..." he walks off toward the pantry.

Kentar nods and grabs some big jars, filling them with lots of stew, making sure the otters will have more then enough.

Aikuen comes in from the pantry, and is bearing a small basket of assorted veggies and fruits from the abbey. All sturdy, eat by paw produce, nothing that is easily squash able or quickly perishable. Potatoes, carrots, and the like. He starts to wrap them in cloth, in bunches. He puts the jars in one of the many large pockets, "Thanks mate! there is enough here to feed a small army!" he chuckles. He hmms, "Okay... got the bread... got the water... got the produce... got the stew... What else do you think we need mate?"

Kentar nods a little then laughs. "Your more then welcome Aikuen." he caps off the last jar and watches it get packed away. "Hrm. Me?" he laughs. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself." he smirks before looking around. "Uh. I think that's it maybe."

Aikuen shakes his head, and grabs the stoat jokingly trying to push him into the already full pack, "Nah, i don't think you will fit mate!" he laughs and lets go of the stoat, "I'm not sure what else either... OH!..." he open one of the cabinets near the floor, and pulls out a bottle of something, "Distilled White Wine... Perfect for those large bloody cuts, and cold nights!" he chuckles, placing it in his pack, and sealing it up, "I think that's it..." he goes to sit on one of the counters, and hmms, "I fell like im forgetting something... hmmm"

Kentar yelps and blinks as he's pushed towards the pack. "Hey..." he laughs then smirks before shrugging, the stoat hopping onto the counter next to Aik. "Well. What about Fira? You cant quite go without her." he smirks.

Aikuen rolls his eyes, and lightly nudges the stoat "No duh!" he laughs, "She is on the top of my packing list, but she i don't she will like being in my pack for to long!" he smiles, "Well if we did forget anything, Ill just buy it on the way... we are going to be passing the market on the way up there..." he shrugs, "I'm going to enjoy this little trip... Ill like going on trips..." he hmms a bit still.

Kentar laughs and nods a little with a big goofy grin. "Good." He smirks a little then nods. "I'm glad you like going on trips." he laughs. "So do I really. Was thinking Garnet and I might take a trip after or during winter." he smiles before standing. "Speaking of Garnet. I'm going to go find her. I'm sure she'll want to say goodbye." he chuckles.

Aikuen nods as Kentar leaves, and goes to put pack on his pack, setting it so it doesn't strain him too much. It doesn't at all because its much lighter then when they took the trip to the east coast. He exits the kitchen and heads for Molehall, where he places his pack down on the table. He goes to sit at his spot, and picks up the small wood carving. He smiles at it, and runs a claw over the baby otter, and mumbles "I hope so..." he grins and goes to rest till she gets here, placing the carving back to watching the hall.

Molehall:

Aikuen is resting in a chair, totally laid back, footpaws on the table, paw behind his head. The whole nine yards. His full and ready to go pack is on the table. The little carvings of the otters is sitting on the table waiting for the other otter to get a good look at it. Aik hums a tiny little song, waiting on his wife to show up. But he is not in a real hurry much.

Kentar isn't his wife, but he does come into the room. He looks around and smiles at Aikuen. "Hey Aik. Not gone yet? Drat!" he laughs loudly then looks around for a place to occupy.

Fira doesn't seem in too much of a hurry either, doesn't have too much to pack anyway so she hasn't kept him waiting too long, just long enough to pick and choose between books and leave any abbey ones nice and safe out the way of small dibbuns. She wanders on it, just closing up her small bag and glances up when she sees beasts "Looking to get rid of us?" the wife is here! She glances to Aikuen "Got the food?"

Aikuen creaks an eye to Kentar, "Nope, not yet... Looks like your gonna have me for just a little while longer!" he laughs, and then he hears Fira, and both eyes pop open, "Fi!" he drops the front legs of the chair to the floor, to sit up, "Oh aye! All packed and ready to go! Got enough food to last for a life time!" he grins and stands up.

Kentar grins at Fira and laughs quietly. "Oh...yes, you dumb otters! I want you gone! Gone I say! So us smart beasts can have the place! Muhahaha." he laughs before smiling at them. "I don't really want you two to go. But I don't think I could stop you." he winks.

Fira wanders on over to aim a little kiss at Aik's cheek "Good, though I'd worry if it took that long. Camping stuff? Tent? Anything else I've forgotten?...Is the bag waterproof?" adding on the last one just as she thinks of it before her eyes briefly flick onto Kentar with a small smirk "Oh? Is that right? Well just be sure you smart beasts don't burn the place down while we're gone...really it'd be almost impressive when the place is mostly dirt. We'll be back soon enough"

Aikuen grins at the kiss, going to pick up his pack and set it on his back, "Check. Check. I probably did... and i'm an otter, of course!" he laughs, and then looks back to Kentar, "Aye, be back in a week or so..." he looks to Fira for confirmation. Then he looks back to Kentar, "Please don't burn the place... I will be most unhappy about that!" he laughs.

Kentar laughs, the stoat grinning slightly. "Oh. Well. A week is fine. If you want to spent more time then just a week, that's fine, we don't mind, longer time we have to ourselves. But just a warning. While I was at the abbey the other day, I heard the fox was still out and about. Keep an eye out for him. Just a warning and all." he smiles.

Fira nods back to Aikuen about the week thing "Guess we're all ready then" she smiles before Kentar's words make her a little more thoughtful for a moment until she finally shakes her head "We'll take river up to the bridge then head for the holt. Short of him knowing we're coming we should be fine swimming and no chance he's going to know where the holt is, we'll be fine"

Aikuen nods at Fira, and takes her paw, "Yep all set!" then the thing with the fox just gets a shrug, "Yah, hopefully he wont know about us... if not..." he taps his hilt, "Just for getting away of course..." he hmms. He then tilts his head at the direction were taking, "Really? Havent been of the march in the water for seasons. Alright!" he smiles, "I guess we better be on the move! Lead the way Fi!" he laughs, and kisses her on the cheek.

Kentar smiles and stands up. "I'm glad. But you just had to know." he chuckles with a smile. "Good bye my friends. Come back soon." he smiles. The stoat goes to give them both a hug. "I'll see you at the end of your trip. And bring me back something nice! Oh and don't forget the wood carving." he picks it up from the table, handing it over.

Fira is all ready to go until her attention is directed to the carving and she moves back to take it from Kentar, studying it "Heh it's a mini-us with..." the eyebrows do a tiny raise at the kids there too but she's still smiling "It's lovely Kentar, thank you"

Aikuen smiles, and pats the stoat on the back, "See yah mate! We will be back soon. Pick up something nice for you all!" he laughs. He then notices the mid sentence change of Fira, and he remains quiet about it, "Thanks Kentar, again for the carving!" he grins, "Now, if all our goodbye's are said, i think there is some road that needs to be padded!" he laughs, nudging Fira toward the entrance.

Kentar laughs and smiles a little. "Your trying to get rid of me aren't you!? Well, maybe I shouldn't let you go." he grins before waving and sitting back down. "Aikuen. Make sure that you don't....fall on your face on the road." he laughs

Fira smirks once more and tucks the carving safely away into her bag "No tripping over, you heard him" aiming a little nudge at Aikuen before she moves towards the door, giving Kentar a little wave "We'll see you in a week, look after the place!" and she disappears on out the door to head off and out to the river.

Aikuen frowns at Kentar, "Shush! That only happened three times..." he laughs as Fira nudges him. Aik gives a small salute to Kentar, "In a week mate! Don't kill each other!" he chuckles, and quickly follows Fira, and disappears from view.

Kentar waves. "You can stay longer if you need to!" he calls out after them, laughing, then sitting down in a chair. "Wow. They're gone." there's a long pause. "Ahahahaha! Finally!"

River Moss:

Fira grabs her spear on the way out, been a really long time since she had that with her but it seems like a good idea as she leads the way out of Moledeep. There's a little pause while she gets her bearings but after that she's soon found the river without a problem "Nothing to it. Going downstream too so it'll take even less time"

Aikuen follows Fira. On the way out, when Fira grabbed her spear, he thought it was a good idea so he grabs one of his many javelins. Though he has gotten better at finding his way through Mossflower woods, he still is having trouble through the undergrowth. Then they finally make it to the River, he sighs and kisses her on the cheek, "Yep! Nothing to it..." he pulls off a vine that decided to 'grow' on him, "Get off me!" he throws it away and laughs, "I'm already starting to have fun!"

Fira smirks at the kiss but more at the attack vine "And becoming one with the woods in the process. Come on, one with the river next. We'll probably even make it there late tomorrow" she moves to just gracefully slide into the river and swim on downstream.

Aikuen smiles at her, and laughs, "One with all apparently! For now, The river away!" he waits till she slides in, and he smiles drunkenly at her. When she disappears from view, he double checks his pack, make sure its sealed correctly before he 'gracefully' slides into the water. Of course, that means a cannonball. He laughs to himself, as he sees his wife in the water going down stream. He grins and makes after her quickly, soon beside her.
