This is the basic outline of the Battle of Mossflower. THIS DOES GIVE AWAY THE CONCLUSION SO IT YOU WANT TO GO INTO THIS RP WITHOUT KNOWING THAT, DON'T READ THIS!

PART 1:

Hactor decides to leave the Abbey and march against a coalation of forces that have risen against him (Long Patrol, Army of Northern Mossflower, Southsward, etc.). This takes Hactor south where the coalation has encamped. Hactor decides to wait until all of his forces arrive, taking extra time but believed to be a good strategy to Hactor as he hopes it will cause a shock-and-awe type situation for Flicktail (in command of the coalation). Hactor's plan fails.

With the extra time, Flicktail places well fortified positions on either side of the dirt road. On the west side of the road, he positions Col. Zoe_Lang and Skipper, and on the east he positions Gen. Vlen. Hactor makes no such fortifications as his plans are only to get his army on the field and fight.

PART 2:

Hactor decides to use the west side of the field as a diversion, placing the majority of his troops there. Hactor's true target is the east, where he aims to destroy Flicktail's right flank. Hactor sends troops to the east side, which they use trees from Mossflower woods as concealment, and they are succesfull in taking the ground. Without support, however, they cannot keep it, and Gen. Vlen retakes the ground and counter-attacks, leaving Hactor's left flank exposed.

In the meantime, Hactor's large forces on the west side are not there for any tactical advantage other than to be a diversion. They march directly into the well fortified position of Col. Zoe_Lang and Skipper, eating their arrows. Hactor's right flank in quick time is forced to retreat. With his left flank destroyed and his right in retreat, Hactor has no choice but to retreat himself, the majority of his forces destroyed or having deserted him.

CONCLUSION:

Hactor and whatever army he has left retreats to Ruingate, where he and Flicktail sign the Treaty of Ruingate, ending hostilities and allowing Hactor and his remaining forces to live, as long as they stay away from Mossflower. The war is over, and Redwall is returned to Mossflower.
