First off, I want to thank everyone who participated in the second event of ‘The Great Ones’ plot, and fought in the battle for Camp Willow!

Unfortunately, Kolbjorn’s player had to go before the battle truly ended, and I will be out of town for several days – so that scene will not be officially “finished” for a little bit. BUT! We do know how it ends, and you may play so accordingly.

The first part of the battle may be found [here]. If you wish to read what has happened in Part Two so far, you may read it on the radio website. And, as always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please p #mail me as Ayita on the MUCK.

The Viking occupation of Camp Willow has ended… but at what cost?

  • The Redwallers and allied forces that attacked the front of Camp succeeded in driving out the vermin hordes that Kolbjorn had recruited, and even took out a few of the Northern beasts, sustaining understandable casualties.
  • The covert attack at the center of the Camp was successful in driving the Vikings out of Camp Willow… But this was not a ‘win’ for the woodlanders: the Vikings were expecting the attack and were already planning their retreat.
  • Camp Willow was almost completely burned to the ground; only the Willow Tree and a few structures remain, but with the Vikings gone, they may begin to rebuild their homes and lives.
  • The most tragic loss of this battle lies with the captives, whom Kolbjorn, Rincair, and the rest of the Vikings managed to pack onto their ships and make off with in their retreat. No one knows where they are taking them, and how many will even survive the journey.
  • Some survivors of the initial attack, who may have been hiding in the woods, will now start to filter back into Camp Willow.
  • Redwallers who fought in the battle, injured or otherwise, may start to make their way back to Redwall with the injured - this soon after the battle, and with the range of destruction being what it is, there are precious little resources to tend to the injured in Camp Willow.

The Vikings are gone, for now, and the residents of Camp Willow – and those helping them – may now reenter the Camp to rebuild what was lost. The captives are missing and face an uncertain future, and the survivors of the bloodshed are left full of grief and questions.

Camp Willow has faced dark times, but even with the Northbeasts gone, they still have much to overcome...
