Streamheart and Lee's Wedding and Feast Afterwards!!!

RW Abbey: Marriage Room

The marriage room is lined with benches on each side. A gap between the sets leads up towards the wooden pulpit, and on it lies an open book in old script. Stained glass windows spill light over the benches and stone floor, coloring them with the various designs that are set forever frozen on the glass.

The marriage room has been unlocked, cleaned out and aired and then bedecked with late autumn flowers and several vases of bright, crisp leaves that have been collected from the orchard to add splashes of bright color to the otherwise sedate and solemn room. Benar is already here, the Elder dressed in his best and standing down near the small altar beneath the stained glass windows as he waits for everyone else to start arriving.

Cera had some help, how else would she be up here when she usually, mostly, is on the first floor. She is sat down in a chair close to the door and smiles, a couple other novices enter also and sit down.
Starlight pokes her head in the room and looks around curious of all the beasts here.
Tristan and his sister Aeris slip in, the former looking far more clean than usual and minus his characteristic cloak, and the latter in her usual attire, albeit freshly scrubbed. The siblings find a place to stand near the far wall, Aeris smiling softly, while even the somber Tristan manages a very faint half-smile.
Lee comes in and looks around, nodding to everyone. He is dressed in a perfectly clean tunic. He goes to stand by Benar. "Ello, ev'rybeast." He smiles cheerfully.
Streamheart starts to enter shortly after all the other beasts have come, she stays by the door as she is maybe a little nervous but then starts to enter, she has on a simple dress and has some ribbons and paper flowers in her head fur.
Benar nods to Lee and then flicks his tail up as Streamheart makes an appearance and he smiles and moves to stand in his place, tucking his hands into the sleeves of his robes as he waits for Streamheart to reach them. As she starts to walk along the aisle music begins. A mouse tucked away in one corner of the room is playing a beautiful harp, sending a cascading of bright notes spilling out into the air. Like water burbling over a rocky lip or a stream chattering through rapids the music accompanies every step the female otter takes on her path down the aisle toward her Lee and the awaiting Elder.
Cera watches as the two otters Lee and Streamheart enter and smiles
Starlight gets to a chair and stays quiet, she likes the music but not so much all the beasts here but still she does stay in the room.
Tristan stands with his paws clasped behind his back, respectfully silent, and Aeris does the same.
Lee smiles as he watches Streamheart come down the aisle. Inside he feels nervous and happy at the same time.
Streamheart is now up front and smiles at Lee, she nods to Benar and waits, still smiling.
Benar nods his head to Streamheart and smiles warmly at her as she joins him next to Lee, the music reaches a gentle crescendo then patters away into a quiet, shimmering background hum. The squirrel raises his hands and speaks in a gentle voice, "Welcome everyone, we are gathered here today for a most joyous occasion. Today, in this place we shall all be witness to a most special event as Streamheart and Lee Otterson join hands and before all those present speak vows of never-ending love as they embark together on the greatest adventure of them all, marriage."
Cera smiles and just quietly watches as the wedding starts.
Starlight watches and listens, she doesn’t fully understand but still watches.
Lee smiles, listening as Benar starts. He smiles to Streamheart.
Streamheart returns the smile and waits to see what she and Lee need to do next.
Benar asks, "Do you Lee Otterson, on this day and before these witnesses take the otter maiden Streamheart to be your wife? To marry her and hold her, to be with her and support her through all the trials that life may bring. From this moment and before the spirit of our founder Martin until the end of your days?"
Lee nods, smiling. "I do."
Benar turns to look at Streamheart next and speaks quietly, "Do you Streamheart, on this day and before these witnesses and the spirit of our eternal Champion Martin, agree to take Lee Otterson as your mate and husband? Will you stand by him throughout the trials of life, the joys and sorrows, the rainy days and mornings of bright sunshine until the end of your days?"
Streamheart nods. "I do"
Benar reaches out and takes one their hands in his, holding them for a moment before bringing them together and expertly wrapping a single strip of grey ribbon around their wrists, binding them together. He then holds their hands up for all to see and speaks, "Then it is with great pleasure that I, Elder Benar of the Order of Redwall Abbey, pronounce you Husband and Wife, otters entwined on the path of life from this day forward until the end."
Cera watches and listens, she smiles as she leans back in the chair she was placed in.
Lee smiles as Benar wraps the ribbon and ties it.
Streamheart smiles, she listens to Benar as he performs the wedding.
Benar takes hold of the ribbon and tugs it, the knot he tied coming loose and the length of ribbon sailing through the air to land in the braiser set beside the altar and go up in a stream of flame. "Your old lives are no more, hold onto them remember them and let them guide you as you walk out together, side by side into marriage." He raises his hands to either side, "You may Streamheart, Kiss the Groom."
Streamheart blinks, that’s different, she smiles as she goes to give Lee a kiss.
Lee grins and leans close, putting an arm around Streamheart and returning the kiss

Before the couple leave the front they place each other’s rings on and smile to one another.

Benar says, "Congratulations," He murmurs to them both.
Cera smiles at the happy couple.
Starlight tilts her head and smiles, giggling a little.
The otter siblings both smile, Aeris a bit more brightly than her grim brother Tristan, but the sentiment is the same.
Streamheart smiles and chuckles as she is happy now, she looks to Benar, Thank you for doing the wedding for us"
Lee looks over and nods in agreement. "Aye, thank ye, Benar! We be really grateful."
Benar says, "You are welcome, I believe the Friar has put something on for you all in the great hall, a traditional otter style wedding breakfast. I think it's mostly fish"
Cera says, "Congrats you two"
Starlight smiles, she claps as some others clap and runs over to where Lee and Streamheart are.
Lee smiles and scoops little Starlight up and bumps her nose. "A feast o' fish sounds good!"
Streamheart nods "It does, let us go on down dear."

RW Abbey: Great Hall

The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.

The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.

Shadows are long in the dying evening light.

a message (board) with notes tacked to it

Streamheart walks down the stairs to the great hall, Lee beside her and the otter Starlight with them as she looks around and smiles at the setup and friends, today is a good day.

Lee is beside Streamheart, smiling wide and looking around. "Smells good, it does."
Several tables have been set up with the head table, usually the province of the Abbot and Elder's now set up with two special seats in the center for the Bride and Groom. There is an acrobatic troupe in from the south of Mossflower as well as musicians, fire-eaters and various other entertainers and the food! Well fish is a very big part of the meal but there is plenty of everything else all over the place, the Friar has done less of a small Wedding Breakfast and gone with a large full on feast instead. Benar nods to people as he comes down the stairs and moves over to his chair.
Starlight looks around at all the beasts and stays close to Lee and Streamheart as she is a little afraid.
Cera is back in her wheelchair now and wheels around, it’s her new wheelchair and this one works a lot better than the old one.
J'ee gobbles a fish.
Oz hears all the music and enters the room, walking staff in paw, he is careful to not bump into anyone
Tristan and Aeris follow a short distance behind, taking in the spread. Aeris rubs her paws together eagerly and breaks away from Tristan, making her way towards the newlyweds. She doesn't know them very well, having only seen them a few times around the abbey, but it doesn't make her words any less sincere. "Congratulations you two!" She says, grinning. Tristan sees Oz across the room and heads over to intercept him, placing a paw on the badger's forearm to alert Oz of his presence. "Some party." He remarks.
Lee smiles. "Why thank ye miss."
Streamheart smiles, "This looks great"
J'ee says, "Tastes great too"
Lee nods. "Indeed. Benar really outdid 'imself."
Oz stops as Tristan is beside him, he nods "I suppose, too many in one room for me...greetings Tristan, have not" He chuckles as he starts to say seen but changes it "You have been away awhile as I know you’re not at the abbey too often"
Starlight blinks, she finds a small pastry and gets it, smiling she nibbles it and watches all the beasts in the room, she still needs to get use to the abbey beasts.
Tristan rubs at his chin, shaking his head. "No, I haven't. But I happened to be in the area, so Aeris insisted I clean myself up for the wedding. How have you been?" He asks, surveying the room. A little ways away, Aeris doesn't hear his comment, as she's busy introducing herself to the newlyweds. "Ah, I’m Aeris, by tha way. Tristan's sister." She indicates her solemn brother standing by the badger father. "He tol' me that you knew him a little."
Lee nods. "It be a pleasure ta meet ye. Yes, Tristan an' I know each other
Streamheart smiles "Hello, it’s nice to meet you and Lee knows Tristan a bit more than I do"
Cera gets some fish and some salad before finding a place she can be, it ends up being near a group of novices.
Oz answers Tristan, "I have been getting along fine, my knee dislikes the fact the cold is coming, other than that I am fine"
Aeris brushes her bangs out of her eyes, "Tha pleasure's all mine, believe me." She grins, then looks over her shoulder at Tristan. She gives him a glare, and he responds with a slight shrug of his shoulders. "Sorry he's bein' so unsocial," She looks at Lee, "But you must know how he is." She chuckles. Tristan sighs softly, responding to Oz, "Aye. I think it'll be a cold winter. There'll be snow before too much longer. It's a pain. But, easy to track in." He notes.
Lee nods. "Ah, Tristan be Tristan. He be a good chap." The otter starts to fill a plate of food.
Streamheart smiles, she gets some fish, "Well he is still welcome to stay as long as he wants, all is welcome to stay for this."
Oz nods "Snow is fine when one is indoors, the dibbuns will make snow creatures and throw snowballs, after maybe 3-4 weeks of cold pond should freeze and there will be ice skating"
Tristan chuckles softly to himself. "It'll be great fun, I’m sure." He glances towards the tables with food and refreshments, then towards Lee and Streamheart. "I'll be back in a moment, I’m being calling to socialize." He remarks with his peculiar dry humor. He walks over to the drink table first, getting a baked clay mug filled with ale before he moves over to join his sibling. He lifts his cup to the two of them. "Congratulations." he says, nodding to Lee and his new wife with a smile.
Lee smiles and nods. "Thank ye, Tristan. I were glad ta see ye here."
Streamheart nods “Yes thanks for the congrats"
Oz walks over to get a little fish and a couple scones, he sighs but smiles as he is offered tea to drink, he finds a chair to sit in as he can congrat Lee and Streamheart a little later when less beasts are around.
Tristan takes a sip of his drink before speaking. "I'm glad I was around to be here." He replies politely. Aeris excuses herself to go get herself a little something to eat. Tristan's eyes rove from the two newlyweds to the crowded hall, looking the other guests over.
Lee smiles, pouring himself a drink.
Streamheart smiles at Lee as she gets something drink and stays beside him, "I am glad a lot were able to make it"
Lee says, "Aye, me too. A nice crowd indeed."
Oz sips his tea as he stays off to the side of the room, still here but close to the door at the same time.
Tristan swirls the drink in his cup absently, eventually breaking away from the newlyweds to venture off into the crowd. Aeris, a plate of fish, freshly baked bread, and a scone balanced on one paw, and a bowl of hotroot soup held in the other, goes to sit by Oz, greeting him. "Hello there." she says cheerily.
Oz nods "Greetings Aeris, how have you been friend?"
Lee puts his plate on the table
Aeris sits and starts to dig into her meal, while Tristan sort of wanders through the crowd, sipping at his ale.
Streamheart has been busy greeting beasts and shaking paws and saying thanks to all the congrats to her and Lee

Lee waves to everybeast from their seats at the head of the table

Coming from the cavern hole, which is equally filled with laughter and mirth, a sleek black furred fox enters the great hall. Wilks is eager to try out some stories while he is here...and try out the food. He walks towards the newly wedded ccouple to congratulate them. His eyes also drift towards the table, looking for food and of course, cake. Curse that Bandit Fox, he seems to be rubbing off on poor Wilks the more he hangs out around him.

Streamheart smiles, she smiles more as the cooks do bring out the cake now, a nice 7 layer cake with rose designs and lines of red and blue frosting, and a mini the wedding couple on top made of fall flowers and leaves, it’s very nice.

Lee ahhs. "The cooks 'ave made a masterpiece!"

Wilks stares at the cake, his eyes widen a bit as he does. "I'll say, that looks...delicious." The fox shakes his head clear for the moment to turn to Lee and Streamheart, approaching the couple he smiles widely "I must say congrats on the wedding Lee, Streamheart. You look like a very happy couple."

Streamheart nods "We are happy, thank you. I know some beasts missed it but maybe they can still get some food"

Lee smiles and kisses Streamheart on the cheek. "We be very 'appy, Wilks." He picks up a knife to cut the first piece.

Wilks puts his paws on his hips and laughs, "And I am happy you are going to cut the cake. I must say...that is a true masterpiece." The fox's tail twitches as he says, "I wish you both long and happy marriage, I'm sorry some missed the wedding, but this place needs a reason to be joyful after a long season of war fare, bandit attacks, random kidnappings." He idly twirls his paw in the air to convey a sense of etc. etc.

Streamheart tries to not listen to all the ill talk but focuses on the happy as she helps slice the cake after the first slice is cut, she smiles at Lee and offers him a bite of cake to try.

Wilks finds himself licking his chops at the sight of the seven layer cake. "I'm sure they would." Turning back to the newlywed couple, he makes an extravagant bow while saying, "Once again, I wish you a long and happy marriage. I think though I will go grab a plate and grab some food before a certain red furred Bandit has a chance to eat it all."

Leon walks the rest of the way in "Ello every beast, I missed something didn't I?"

Lee laughs. "Don't ye worry, I'll tell Bandit not ta eat ev'rythin'." He looks over. "Leon! Yer just in time for the reception!"

Streamheart smiles as she helps pass out cake slices, "Hi Leon!"

Leon waves "Hi, sorry missed it I was busy with grumpy dibbuns"

Wilks returns munching on a fish. The plate in his paws seems to be laden with food. Diet be darned he holds out his already over filled plate for a slice of cake.

Lee nods understandingly. "It be ok, Leon. We unnerstand."

Streamheart chuckles at Wilks, "Wait for cake maybe"

Leon smiles, he gets some cake and sits down nearby.

Wilks makes a mock sour face and walks off to the table, "Awwwww, but ok. Just be sure there is some left when I get finished with this, ok?

Lee says, "There will be plenty left, Wilks."

Leon says, "Seems the wedding went well"

Streamheart nods "It went well yes"

Lee says, "It went very well."

Wilks sits down and begins to feast. And what a feast it is. The young fox always did love weddings.

Lee chuckles as he watches Wilks

Streamheart smiles "I wonder how Starlight is, I think she had fallen asleep and someone took her to bed maybe"

Lee nods. "A novice carried 'er ta bed."

Leon eats his cake as he listens to random talking around the room.

Wilks converses with Bandit who sits down across the table from him. Wilks laughs a little at the other fox's new red pelt before finishing off his plate. He returns to the couple and wags his tail happily while holding out his plate for cake.

Streamheart smiles, she gives Wilks some cake for him and Bandit.

Lee chuckles, waving to Bandit

J'ee gobbles some cake.

The pot bellied red fox waves to Lee as Wilks sits down with a plate full of cake for both fox's. The details of the conversation are lost in the noise around them but something akin to an eating contest is started between the two fox's. Both begin to eat at their over laden plates to see which fox can eat the most.

Lee laughs, to see who wins

Streamheart smiles as she has sliced up some cake so beasts can get some and now sits down

Lee is seated right beside her

Wilks gets up for seconds, er, thirds. While walking to get more food he pauses by the otter couple, "So, Streamheart, Lee, now that the big day has finely come, what are you plans? Do you have a house you want to move into?”

Streamheart says, "Well we will live in the abbey of course"

Lee says, "We will 'ave a home here"

Wilks nods, "Aye, and a nice home it is." Filling his plate up with food Wilks says, "After I finish my little bet with Bandit over yonder I plan on telling some of your more heroic deeds and adventures later on. The ballad of Lee and Streamheart! Or, Streamheart and Lee, which ever you prefure." He smiles, "I promise not to exaggerate 'too' much..."

Lee laughs. "I look forward to it."

Streamheart asks, " story about us?"

Wilks nods happily, "But of course! You two have managed to rack up more adventures here in Redwall than most tales told in taverns. I am trying to find a way to blend them all together and make an exciting story to tell."

Lee says, "I bet ye can."
Streamheart chuckles
Wilks wags his tail and smiles, "I'll make it a long and dramatic love poem. Just you see, now if you excuse me, I have a bet to win with Bandit." The fox walks over to his seat and begins eating again.
Lee chuckles. "A love poem. Who'd a thunk I'd be immortalized inna love poem?"
Streamheart smiles "May be interesting"

The rest of the evening is talking with friends, eating good food and then it was time for all to go to bed, but clearly remember this wedding and wedding feast afterwards.
