Some History for Leon...

This a litte part of his history before he can to Redwall Abbey:

A small village by a stream, its a cloudy day. Leon and his older sister walking back with water pails, she is still recovering from a bad case of Pneumonia.

Leon frowns "You should rest, I could of got the water sis"

Renee smiles "No, its fine- coughs-"

Leon asks" What about Boris, or does he even care"

Renee looks hurt and upset, "He is busy, he said he do it and..got- coughing fit a bad one-"

Leon helps her inside and to a bed as a 1 season old mousemaid hugs him, he pats her head as he helps his sister,"But he didn't"

About that time Boris came back and basicly threw Leon out of the house.Leon came by the house later to check on his sister.

"She is getting worse Boris,she needs the herbs, here take these and I can get more, though its a two day walk."

"She doesnt need herbs, she will be fine" Boris states, like he did not care.

Leon glares at Boris "You only care about how wonderful a fighter you are, how great your swordman ship is, how many vermin you fought and killed, care about Renee and Corinne"

Boris shrugs, "I am not the family type"

Leon hands him the herbs, "These will help her, least till I return ok" He walks off quickly and when he is out of sight, Boris crushes the herbs,drops them and smashes them into the ground, stomping them and smirks, never giving them to Renee.A couple days later Renee was indeed even worse, Corinne was sent to an ageing grandparent.

Renee speaks weakly "WH..Where is Leon?"

Boris fakes a frown"He is dead. freak accident while hunting the herbs to save you, told him not to go but he so wanted to save you...it was sad, he fell off the overhang on the path, close to the drop off by the water fall, he is dead..so sorry."

Renee cries and is sad for her brother, she died less than three days later after giving up trying to fight, the only good thing is a promise to get Corinne to Leon, a village elder would make sure he would care for her.

Leon returned, limping he had sprang his ankle and his sister had died a couple hours before he came,Boris walked up to him, "Too late, she is dead, dead because of you.."

The same thing repeated over and over again in his head, feeling like a failure he left the village and didnt come back. Unseen Boris smirks, it wasn't till later on Boris is forced to take Corinne on a trip, he just happen to come to Redwall and abandon her there, finding out Leon was there and leaving Corinne there without telling Leon.

Today or the here and now

Leon finds out Boris was around and learns a truth, Boris let Renee die by never getting her the herbs, he also learns Boris lied to Renee on her brother being dead, in order to drop her hopes, this angered Leon but before he could react he is punche out by Boris who after a small fight with another abbey beast runs off leaveing Leon with more questions and a neice, Corinne, to care for now.
