Setting Sail - Dont be a Cheater!

Location: Great South Stream
Morning. Day three. We have arrived at the river in the middle of the vast grasslands. We will now use this river to travel by. Instead of the path. This should lead us toward the western shore. Then we will make south toward Alcadia. Thats what Aik would write in his journal. If he had one. But he don't. So he writes it in his head. They stop to rest and drink up before heading off once again. The otter twins and Fira are playing some sort of game in the large grasslands. While Aik sets on the river side with a javelin. Watching the river intently.
And then the stoats are active! Chris and Garnet are talking to each other about the trip, Robin is by himself reading, Kluna is doing only lord knows what, and Kentar is in the water! No, wait, that's just his reflection in the river as he comes up behind Aik. "Hey Aik." he smiles. "Staring contest with your reflection?"
Aikuen shushes the stoat, "Hey. Shush. Sit down and shutup..." he hrms and pokes his tongue out as he watches the river.
Kentar hums a little and tilts his head as he sits down, looking at the river, whispering. "What's in there Aik? Not scared of your reflection I hope." he chuckles quietly.
Aikuen points into the water. There is nothing there but he still points, "Dinner..." he mmms. Aiming his javelin behind him.
Kentar hums and ohs quietly, nodding slowly, grinning. "Mm...dinner..." he whispers quietly, watching the water. He can't see anything but he trusts the fish knower!
Aikuen watches intently. Barely moving. Barely breathing. He then suddenly gets up and chunks the javelin hard into the water. He yips and chuckle, "Gotcha you little nut!" he grins and pulls at another javelin behind him. The other one still sticking straight out of the wate
The stoat erks a little and chuckles as the javelin went woosh past his head. "Heh! Why not just dive in Aik and catch them?" Kentar asks. "I don't want any holes in my fish!"
Aikuen says, "The water is not that deep. I cant swim in it. So its either angle it. Or poke them..." he chuckles quietly and nudges the stoat with his elbow, "You never noticed before!" he laughs quietly.
Kentar huhms and tilts his head a little. "You mean there were holes in my fish before?!" he seems angry then laughs. "Haha, oh, okay!" he nods. "So! How long will it be before we get there?" He asks.
Aikuen laughs quietly before shushing the stoat again, "Heheh... Course there was holes in your fish! How do you think we got them to stay on the sandwich." he then hrms as his head jolts to a new spot in the river, "Oh... About... two more days... Should hit the ocean tomorrow afternoon. Then maybe one more day to get to Alcadia..." he nods
Kentar chuckles a little and nods slowly. "Right! Sounds good to me." he smiles as he watches where Aik is, seeing...nothing really. "Maybe we'll find some crew to hire before we get there! I'd love a good bit of help lugging that cart! More then you and Fira." he chuckles.
Aikuen continues to watch the river. Like he is watching something or other. He chuckles, "Oh, you know that the cart is light once you get it moving." he smiles, "But sure. You can help me. I need the bare bone crew for th ship." he nods a bit more.
"Who said I wanted to help?" Kentar laughs with a grin. "I want a crew just as much as you do! Its my holiday too!" he laughs with a nod. "Anyways. I want to go somewhere nice. I dunno where yet! Somewhere. Just somewhere. Oh! Somewhere! Lets go somewhere. I wonder if there's a place called somewhere. There should be." he nods.
Aikuen chuckles, "I mean. Help me to get a crew. I want you to help me weed out the good ones from the bad one. As you were a captain." he chuckles then bounces up and down, "We should go somewhere. I wonder where it is?" he grins
Kentar hums and ohs! "RIGHT! Yeah! Yeah, I'll do that." he chuckles with a smile. "Yeah. I wonder where somewhere is." he nods. "We should find an abandoned island and call it somewhere." he nods.
Aikuen laughs as he stands up and aims between his claws. Somewhere in the sky, "Alright matey. This first island we come to that's unnamed. We will call it somewhere. Instead of Fira!" he grin as he launches it into the sky. Landind into the river with a thock. He hrms, "I think i missed" he chuckles.
Kentar watches it fly off and laugh. "Haha. Failure." he nods slowly with a grin. "I'll show you how its done." he grabs a javelin and stands up, hurling it into the sky...then into the water, hoping it hits something.
Aikuen frowns a bit at the stoat, "I said. I THINK i missed..." he hrms as he goes to his first javelin in the water. Pierced the fish right through the middle. And it stopped flapping a long time ago. He then wades to the next javelin. The one that's far away from them, "Ahah! Im not a failure!" he grins as he holds up a wriggling fish. Pierced by its tail. He points at Kentars, "Lets see what you did then mate!"
Kentar nods and rolls up his pant legs getting into the water and moving to his javelin. He picks it up and low and behold, a fish! Right dead in the middle. A big fish too...a nice fish! "Wow! Lucky!" he grins. What Aik doesn't seem to know though, its just a javelin that had a fish on it already!
Aikuen is quite blanked eyed at the fish, "What the crap?" he says walking forward, "How did? Thats... No..." he shakes his head.
Kentar grins proudly and nods. "I did it!" he nods. "I'm just better then you I guess." he laughs with a smile. "Come on Aik, admit it!" that cheating stoat!
Aikuen still cant belive it, "No. I wont admit it..." he looks down at the river. Then at the javalin. Then at the fish. He does this sevearl times before saying with a small grin, "Wait... How come your fish is dead then?" unlike his fish which is still alive.
Kentar hums a little bit and looks to the fish he's got on his javelin. "Uh...cause I hit it right in the middle?" He asks, almost nervously. "OH fine! This was a javelin you had next to you with a fish you already caught!" he frowns and then laughs.
Aikuen shakes his head, "Unless you got it in the head. It should still be flapping away for a few more minutes" he laughs at the next part, shoving the stoat lightly, "Oh you big jerk! I was starting to question my skills..." he then hrms, "What if you did manage to catch one. With the other one still on it? Id give up being an otter..."
Kentar hums a little bit and laughs, shaking his head. "Please! I'd never be able to do that." he nods. "I'm good with knives, remember? Not javelins." he grins and then hums. "You? Haha. I'd love to see it. "What would you become huh?" he asks. "A stoat." he nods.
Aikuen nods, "Exactly. That why i couldn't believe it when i saw it." he then thumps his rudder, "A stoat? Ew! Why would i ever want to do that. I think ill be a mole." he grins.
Kentar hums a little and frowns. "Because we stoats are smart!" he nods with a laugh and a smile. "But okay, you can be a mole! We'd at least have a mole in moledeep for once." he smirks.
Aikuen chuckles, "What really? When did THAT happen?" he smirks and bounce away, "Id be a lurvly mole! With my soft velvety body" he hurr hurrs away. Swinging his javelins.
Kentar shudders and laughs. "I think I like you just like you are." he nods. "Come on! Lets get going. I'm hungry...and I want to get back on the road!" he grins.
Aikuen chuckles as he nods, "Ayeaye matey. I like being an otter myself." He then 'otters' Which is creepy and should not be repeated, "Hehe. Grab the rest of the javilins and we will get the show on the road!" he laughs headinbg back to the cart with the fish-javs.
The stoat blinks and shudders. "Never ever, ever do that again." he says before taking the javelins and starting back to the camp.
Aikuen chuckles as he continues to do it. Even when they enter the camp, "Oh come on mate! Its fun!" Fira, who is sitting on the back of the cart, smirks at him. Aik winks at her before handing her the fishs on a sticks, "Hey beautiful. Mind gutting these things for us?" Fira nods with a chuckle taking the fish in her paws. Aik leans up to kiss her before going to the front of the cart, "OI! We leave in 5 mins!" he nods.
"Righto!" Robin calls out. Chris grins as he jumps onto the cart and starts bouncing, staring at Aik ."LETS GO LETS GO LETS GO LETS GO LETS GO LETS GO LETS...." deep breath... "...GO LETS GO LETS GO!" Chris just keeps bouncing, Kentar laughing a little and shaking his head. "Silly!"
Aikuen laughs and shakes his head at the little stoat, "Wotcha Chris..." he nods toward the twins, who immediately go to attack the little stoat. Aik laughs at that, "You big sillies... Come on Kentar. While Fi is guttin. It will just be me and you for now."
Chris turns around quickly and raises up his arms like some sort of monster, letting out a loud roar. "RAWR!" he grins before going to try and chase after the twins trying not to get pinned again.
The twins are only slightly scared. Just pausing in their attack. Before rawring themselves and chasing after the little stoat. Acting like monsters. Chris gave them the idea!
Chris pauses and erks loudly, jumping out of the cart and then hiding under it so they cant get at him. Kentar hums and chuckles, shaking his head slowly. "Silly beasts."
Aikuen laughs, "That are silly. But we must be moving. Come on little'us." he grins at them, "Unless we plan on leavin yah?" he asks. Looking underneath the cart.
Chris eeps and slinks out of the cart quietly and then into it, coming up behind the twins before putting a paw on their shoulders and smiling. "Don't leave me!" he nods.
The twins look for Chris. And are totally surprised when they come up behind them. Jumping in their seats with a yelp. Aik laughs at them, "Heh! We wont leave yah Christobell. Maybe Fira though..." He grins at her. But she cant see him... Nope she did. As fish guts land on him. And she giggles holding her side.
The stoat grins and starts to tickle the two otters as much as he can, Robin even joining in the tickling with his good arm. "Hehehe! We'll get them!" he nods. Kentar just shakes his head and chuckles quietly.
Aikuen Wipes the guts off him before grumbling, "Way to go my love..." he shakes his head before picking up the stick. The twins are overpowered as they throw their arms in the air. But who cares! With Aik and Kentar. They group heads out west again. Toward going along the river. Then going to have fish for dinner.
