Scioto and Blisa reunited (Bolts of Chaos TP) or Two conversatoins going on at the same time....yay!

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Redwall Abbey : Cavern Hole

Characters involved:' Scioto the cat. Ferdinand the ferret and Blisa the cat. Fargo the weasel. Leon the mouse. Nightbreath the ermine. Ragg the weasel. Alesa the ermine. Cheshire the cat.

Scioto is here, a little half asleep as he was helping those who made it here get use to being here a short time, well he is hoping a short time anyways, he rests in a chair by the wall

Beasts are walking quietly and quickly through the Hole, on their way to many tasks. Three creatures break away from the flow and hurry towards the napping Chieftain. A mouse Novice whispers to the male young adult, who nods. The Novice walks away, and the third person, a young white, green-eyed kitten, break away from the ferret and scrambles into the adult cat's lap, tightly hugging him around the neck. Why, it's Blisa!

Scioto is still a little asleep and grunts slightly as he rubs his good eye to get a little more awake, he has yet to notice who is beside him, "Give me..time to wake up" He says softly.

Ferdinand smiles and sits on a footstool beside his boss' chair as Blisa begins to gently shake her father's shoulder. "Daddy!"

Scioto slowly comes awake now to clearly see Blisa, tears go down his face but they are happy ones, he says nothing right away and just hugs her like he never wants to let go of her again, he smiles and is like this for what seems like forever, he then slowly looks at Ferdinand and nods a greetings. "Greetings..Ferdinand, I thought.." He clears his throat and goes on "I thought she was dead..for the past couple weeks I thought I had lost her"

Blisa squeezes back as Ferdinand nods. "They had broken into your houthe while we were out exploring the orchardth and fithing. We got back and a window had been broken in. I thwept up the glath, and Blitha notithed that her full thketchbook and favorite cloak had been thtolen. Raymond came and told uth you were mithing, and the Thir Nightbreath told uth that they were uthing Blitha'th thing to torture you, Thir. We took refuge in the Theerth' home until a few dayth ago. Then we came here." Blisa sits back and strokes her father's wet cheek. "I was really worried, Daddy. Nobeast's told us anything."

Scioto frowns as Raymond is mentioned and nods "I am glad you are safe Blisa, looks like we are staying here a short while with those who..made it here" He smiles at her now and nods to her guard, "A..Braen found me and me and him got out of the village, it must of been right after that..Marek took over" He sighs, "He had me where I couldnt fight and...no head guard to help stop him either"

Fargo shuffles into Cavern Hole. His pot bellied stomach growls for food.

Leon makes his way in the large room, he walks threw a small crowd as he mutters excuse me a couple times.

Ferdinand holds up a paw. "Wait...no head guard? What do you mean, Thir? What happened to Raymond?" Blisa waves at Fargo and Leon, her green eyes smiling cheerily.

Scioto frowns "Raymond was killed by a wildcat named Rafe" He says this quietly.

Leon waves to the dibbun as he sits on the other side of the room to let the gathered beasts talk.

Fargo Returns shortly from the direction of the kitchen with his afternoon rations. Dispite all he has been through the young weasel seems to have kept his weight on. He sits down at a table and groggily waves to the other beasts.

Blisa scoots down off Scioto's lap and goes to hug Leon. "How are you?" Ferdinand, meanwhile, frowns and shakes his head. "Rafe...do you know if he'th dead, Thir?"

Scioto shakes his head, "No..me and Braen were out numbered 10 to 2 and may as well been 10 to 1 as I didnt have my blade with me at the time, still dont, we went back threw a tunnel that leads to a cave in the woods behind the mill, its where I was kept."

Fargo samples the food before him. "This...isnt breakfast." The weasel looks around. "Just what time is it? Aw blast it...did i over sleep again?"

Leon is surprised at the hug, "I..suppose I am fine young one, just been real busy with injuried beasts, or beasts in the summer heat too long"

Nightbreath walks in softly, moving to the fire and tossing a pawful of powder in. The flames roar a pale blue now as he stares in. "I'thu kor rakt skalibaad talz," he whispers to nobeast in particular. "And justice our armor."

Ferdinand rubs his eyes (there's something in there. He's not crying, he's just got something in his eye.) and glances over at Blisa, then at the other creatures in the room. The kitten waves to the Seer. "That's pretty! How'd you do that?"

Scioto nods to Nightbreath, "Greetings" He looks at Ferdinard "I believe its wise to keep Blisa here when its time to take back Ferravale, also when Marek comes here, Blisa should stay inside, maybe with the badger father to be safe"

Fargo looks up from his meal. "Meraks coming here?"

Leon listens as he has heard a little of whats going on but not everything

"I use a special powder from a plant found in the swamps beyond the East Plains," Nightbreath explains. "It is called Knight's Leaf."

Ragg slips into the room and looks around. After a moment of looking around on the both familiar and unfamiliar beasts, he catches sight of Nightbreath and makes his way over to the ermine, standing beside him. He doesn't speak, since Nightbreath has already engaged in conversation with Blisa, but he does smiles at the overall room.

Blisa waves distractedly to Leon as he leaves the room and scoots over to the Seer's side. "That's cool! Can you do that, too?" she asks Ragg, standing on tip-toe to try and peek into any pouches on Nightbreath's belt. Ferdinand rubs his temples. He has a headache now.

Alesa wanders into cavern hole, "Beasts are complaining about somebody eating more than his or her fair share of the rations on a consistant basis."

Cheshire walks into the room with his arms folded behind his back. Not normally fond of this whole socializing thing he alas has nothing better to do but 'mingle' with those around him. He waves to the beasts gathered about the table.

Fargo gulps at Alesa's comment.

Nightbreath opens up his pouches. "So...ye'd like to learn a few of the mystic herbs, eh? If your father permits I can show you some more."

Ragg grins at Blisa and shrugs, "I dunno. My illustrious Mentor has of yet to teach me, but I'm sure he'll do so soon enough." This last bit has a hinting air to it, mostly directed in Nightbreath's general direction. He sees Cheshire enter and wave, and raises a paw in a return greeting. Ragg raises an eyebrow jokingly at Nightbreath and mutters something about gaining another apprentice.

Ferdinand calls, "Yeth, do be careful!" Blisa waves grumpily at him and her father, basically ignoring their warnings. "Mystic herbs? They're just stupid plants. What do you mean?"

Alesa says, "A one-armed weasel has been reported distracting the novices to take more food. Does anyone here know of this beast?"

Scioto stands slowy as he looks at the beasts there" I need to" He sighs, "Get a check up in the infirm, healers wanted to make sure I was ok" He nods to Nightbreath "Please speak with Benar about Marek and him coming to the abbey and the tunnel, and anything else you view important, I will talk to you all later, good day" He heads up the stairs.

Fargo is looking rather nervous. He begins to whistle softly. Mienwhile Cheshire dusts off the place where scioto was siting and takes a seat. How do normal beasts respond now? oh yes. "Good afternoon."

"These are powerful herbs in the right situation," Nightbreath explains softly. "Some can cure poison, some may change flame, some may purge sickness, some burn differently and cause clouds of smoke to fill a place, while others may foretell future on their leaves."

Ragg decides to be less indignant and listens in on Nightbreath's lesson, but as usually his attention starts to wander and he notes that Cheshire seems to be quite lonely. Intent on altering this, he makes his way over to the cat, forgetting about Nightbreath's lesson for now.

Ferdinand watches Scioto leave, then makes his way over to the Seer's other side. He trusts the ermine, but Blisa is sometimes unpridictable, and the ferret wants to be as careful as possible. Blisa ignores him (mostly) and studies the contents of the pouches. "I don't wanna tell the future. Do you have any poisons in there?" Her bodyguard snorts and rolls his eyes. Of course she'd ask about that.

"Besides, it's an unreliable method for non Seers," Nightbreath says, before grinning as he tells Blisa: "Aye. Rare poisons."

Cheshire drums his gloved fingers across the table wondering how to proceed. Social interactions are not his fortay. Fargo continues to whistle non schalantly.

Alesa looks at Nightbreath, "Rare posions?"

Ragg has by this time made is over to Cheshire and he grins, "Hello!"

Blisa smiles wickedly. "Cool...." Ferdinand coughs meaningly, and the kitten sighs slightly. "What does that one do?" she asks, trying to change the subject and so not get in trouble.

"This one...the Serpent's Master, is deadlier than an Adder's bite." Nightbreath knows what Blisa is into, that's for sure. "They thrash and spasm and gradually gurgle to death, green around the gills."

Cheshire gives the weasel a startled look. He examines Ragg top to bottom. "Hello...weasel...beast. Can I help you?"

Ragg shakes his head and grins, "No, but you seemed board, and so I thought Id say hello...so...hello." He goes quiet, a bit awkwardly, then says rather suddenly, "I'm Ragg." He offers a paw.

Fargo makes a sour face. The thought of dieing so horribly almost makes him lose his appitite. Ooh maybe he can grab some more food from the kitchen. He rises to leave.

Cheshire looks at the offered paw for a second. He gingerly pushes it to the side with a single finger, as if afraid to touch the weasels open hand. "Cheshire. Inventor, Scientist."

"And this one..." Nightbreath indicates a black, daggerlike leaf and whispers, "is called the Touch of Death. They say there is a special place in hell for those who use it."

Ragg self-consciously wipes his paw on his pants, not thinking as far as to realize the movement could be insulting. This cat is certainly putting him out of his element, "Um, good to meet you, Cheshire." He mutters under his breath possible loud enough for the cat to hear, "I think." He then steals himself away, not wishing to get himself clucked by the cat.

Alesa says, "I hope you never do then, sir. What is your name?"

"Then why do you have it?" Blisa looks almost reproachfully at the Seer, which causes her bodyguard to stifle a chuckle. Nice...

Cheshire sighs. He really does need to learn to be less abrasive. He gets up and moves toward the weasel. He contemplates tapping him on the shoulder but finely just claps his hands together and "Says. It was...pleasurable to make all your aquaintices. I must be going now."

"So that no others may have it. See, I took the whole plant, not just the root, so that it cannot be found in the place I obtained it ever again," NIghtbreath counters.

Ragg makes his way back over to his mentor's audience and settles himself down on the floor, resigned to a fate of listening to the lesson, though he secretly enjoys it.

Alesa sits on a chair nearby. She did not catch that thief, but at least this lecture is informative.

Blisa cocks her head to one side. "But why not destroy it? Isn't it awful tempting to have in your possesion? I'd want to use on somebeast...like, any of Stormfeather's followers who might still be alive." Ferdinand can't decide if he wants to be pleased with her logic or horrified at her bloodthirstyness.

"It is not satisfying anyway, from what I am told. They simply keel over and die," Nightbreath says. "My will is strong, I have never used it, and never will. Oh, and its seeds will not burn. Destroying it will only ensure that more grows. But it is such power, to simply kill with a prick of the skin...Without warning, BAM!" he claps his paws together loudly, "they die. It is terrible, to go about as the Grim Reaper. It is a crime that such a plant exists, and Darkcaster is the one who spawned it." He rises. "Lesson over for now. I must see to the guards and ensure they are aware of the impending attack. I will speak more to all of thee later if any of thou wish." He stands and departs.

At Blisa's words both Ragg's eyebrows go up, and he inches away from her, leaving a noticeable gap in his wake. He then says to the cat, "But wouldn't it be better to forgive any of his followers? I mean, what if they were good now? You couldn't kill and innocent beast." As Nightbreath departs his eyes fill with dismay. His safety line just left the room! Hoping to not raise suspicion, he quickly looks over at Alesa, "Darkcaster is the being who is against Gil'amar, who are basically seers. He tries to destroy us, in his own, evil ways."

Alesa nods, "Thank you. I wonder why anyone would create such a thing?"

Blisa shrugs, then grabs Ferdinand's paw and starts to tug him away. "Why should I forgive them? They helped Stormfeather hurt me and Daddy." Ferdinand scoops his charge up and murmers an apology the Ragg, then carries Blisa off for a stern lecture on being a lady...and a good warrior.
