Sad News At The Pond
RW Abbey: Pond
The abbey pond is practically the place to go for relaxation. The orchards that settle onto one side of the water hole provide decent shade for the more heated months to come. Various types of wild flowers grow about the edge of the ground that lightly overhangs into the pond. The pond seemingly invites one into its cool depths, which holds its fish life and multiple species of shrimp and other water dwellers.
Spring has come. Due to the rains, the abbey pond is just gently lapping at the edges of the ground. Soon to overflow lightly if the spring rains don't let up soon. Plant life seems to explode here in a variety of colors, sizes and aromas.

Leon is swimming in the pond due to the fact it's a hot day.
Silverstorm makes her way to the pond, she doesn't swim but does slash some water onto her face and arms some and sits by the pond smoothing out her robes.
Leon comes to shore after he swims a little while and nods hello to Silverstorm "Hello there Silverstorm, how are you doing today?"
Silverstorm shrugs "I am fine, it's a little hot today so swimming probably a good idea. I am glad most here know I can’t swim, but maybe one day I will learn." She is quiet before speaking again "I was curious on something, then again maybe you know"
Leon gives her a curious look "Know what? I know you can't swim but that’s fine not all beasts can just be careful near water and maybe avoid boats" He adds a chuckle.
Silverstorm is quiet before she speaks, "Well, I am now basically fully in charge of the forge. I mean like keys and stuff. I don't see why he wants me to have everything and show me where everything is just..I mean I am glad to know just it could of waited a little while"
Leon blinks and then nods "Maybe Zork felt later wouldn't be good. There is very little he can do right now and I know he can't do it in summer, I had a feeling he most likely would go ahead and let you completely take over rather soon, course still wise even for...well you to be careful as it does get family hot by the forge, even for those not as affected by summer weather"
Silverstorm folds her arms over her chest, yes still has some of that I'm annoyed in her, "But why? I mean could of just as easily waited a few weeks, we both could of halted work till..don’t know fall then show me things then when its cooler"
Leon frowns, taking a calming breath he speaks, "He....he may not of felt he could wait till fall, so he did so while he was able"
Silverstorm notices the frown and the annoyed tone fades "What do you mean by..while he could?"
Leon is unsure how to answer, well it will be easier seeing as it’s not a family member, it be harder to tell one of them this news "Because..because he's dying and he knows it I think"
LilyMoore comes running out from the Abbey building and heads over to where her father and friend are. Ducking behind a clump of bulrushes, she puts a finger to her lips, then hides. Angela comes stumping out of the building and hobbles over to her grandson-in-law and the Blacksmith. She starts poking at reeds and things with her staff.
Silverstorm frowns"D..Dying?" Any further questions is forgotten when she sees Lilymoore, she manages a small smile but is quiet now.
Leon nods, he nods a hello to Angela and glances at Silverstorm most likely not speaking further of it for now.
Angela looks up at what the Blacksmith says, and so she hobbles over to them. "Do ye need my help with somethin'?" She asks gently. Lily peeks over the bulrushes and listens silently.
Silverstorm shakes her head slowly, she is a little upset but decides now is not the best time for being upset "I..did't know..." Maybe change the subject, "So how is everyone?"
Leon speaks "I think we are ok here Angela, and thanks for helping in the infirm while I was away. I do hope all went well and nothing too major happen while I was away"
LilyMoore ducks behind the bulrushes again as Angela nods her head. "Anytime, son, anytime. Everything went well, for the most part. About a week after ye left we got an influx of minor injuries--jammed paws and beestings and things like that. The Infirm was full of 'em. And Zork..." she looks sideways at the otter maid. "I put him on forced bedrest for a week 'cause he wouldn't obey my orders. But nothin' too bad," she hastily adds, not knowing who the 2 had been talking about that was dying. Lily notes that her friend looks sad and so starts to secretly edge her way to beside the Blacksmith. So she can, in a few minutes, jump out and hug her!
Silverstorm half listens and frowns some again.
Leon nods "Well, we both can keep an eye on him. Least he did agree to not work in summer....not that he really could"
LilyMoore is now behind her friend and is waiting for the perfect opportunity to jump up and give her a great big hug! Angela raises an eyebrow, looks at the otter maid, and whispers to the Master Healer, "'Ave ye told 'er?" Lily decides that now is the perfect time to jump up and hug her friend! She leaps to her feet and goes to wrap her arms around the Blacksmith!
Silverstorm sighs, she feels the hug but doesn’t really respond "I need to..go check on some things, I also promised to put something away and not done that yet..silly me" She walks away slowly.
Leon watches the otter maid head off and frowns as he nods "She...needed to know, then again so does Oz and Zinnia. But it would be harder to tell them"
LilyMoore frowns as her friend wanders off, then turns to her father and goes to hug him. "Tell them what, Dad?" Angela nods slowly, looking very sad. "Would ye like me to tell them? I've done it so many times, it almost seems like in some seasons of my life that was the only thing I was sayin'. I can tell them if you can't or if it seems too hard for ye."
Leon hugs his daughter "I don't know really. Maybe wait or don't wait I have no clue."
Lily's brows furrow as her question goes unanswered. Angela shakes her head and goes to lay a paw on his shoulder. "The sooner ye tell them, the better. It will give them more time to adjust and come to terms with it."
Leon nods "Maybe you could.." He looks at Lilymoore and thinks hard, "You ok Lilymoore?"
LilyMoore resists the urge to stomp her foot. "You didn't answer my question! What don't you want to tell Papa Oz and Sister Zinnia?" Angela stays silent, letting the Master Healer decide if he wants to tell his daughter or not.
Leon seems unsure and then speaks "Please don't raise your voice Lilymoore, I will answer you and your old enough to understand things like this, least I hope so and you’re a friend of his as well" He then says it calmly, "You see...Elder Zork is....well ill and he most likely won’t live to see fall or hardly any of it at least"
LilyMoore looks immeasurably sad, and kind of striken. "Oh, no.......that's so awful." she says quietly. "And his family doesn't know?"
Leon frowns "Not unless he told them and don’t think he did"
LilyMoore looks to the ground. "That's so sad." She looks back up at his face again. "I think they should know. If you were dying, I'd want to know as soon as possible. So...he knows that he's dying?" Angela nods an affirmative, but is still silent.
Leon nods "Yeah...I may go check on him now talk to you two later" And the Master Heale
