Ripfang And Zurrgg Set Things In Motion
Somewhere In the woods south of the abbey close to St. Nihms church
Ripfang disliked watching the cub, that and talk of those Vikings being at the abbey made him wonder if they should of just gone to the sea coast as his Master had mentioned.
Xander was tied to the metal fencing by the church graveyard. This was part of an old path going into the woods and the church was abanded and burned seasons ago.
Zurrgg paced back and forth in the woods and kicked an old bit of rotten wood “I hate when paths are blocked; least those foul Redwallers are too busy to look for us. They are MUCH more concern with those sea riding monsters”
The rest of the group was around 12 now. Some rats, weasels, a couple martens, even a fox who decided Zurrgg was a better boss than other vermin leaders. This was the group for now.
Ripfang snorted and started eating some wood pidgion he found, “Ssssssso Master when do we ssssstrike?”
Zurrgg walks back into the makeshift camp “Soon.”He grins as behind him is now a couple dozen vermin, mainly rats but also a couple foxes”My group grows and Kolur also helps it to grow. He will gain the chieftain’s trust and that will be Scioto’s down fall!”
Xander looks up at the vermin and frowns. He has gotten to the point where he obeys his captors without much struggle. He has bruises on him and some dried blood on his forehead.
Ripfang turns and smirks “I ssssssee oh Master. But Scioto will not go down easily”
Zurrgg nods “Kolur is helping, there is more than one way to take down an enemy, trust me I have a plan and Kolur gaining trust of Scioto starts that plan. He will also find those within the village to join him as not all are so loyal to Scioto. Not all like that peace treaty with the abbey and once I am Chieftain that’s the first thing to go.”
Xander just frowns as he looks at the varies vermin, he then speaks “You are not goa get away with this cause someone is gonna stop you. Good always wins over evil!”
Ripfang glares at the badger and hisses, he speaks “May I eat him sssssssssir?”
Zurrgg walks up to the badger cub and goes to slap him across the face with his claws out and kick him in the side, he then speaks to Ripfang “No. He is my future weapon and not food”
Xander backs away, then yelps as the claws go across his face and tears form in his eyes. Blood goes down his cheek as he sniffs. As he is kicked he tries to not cry out, nothing broken but he will bruise.
Ripfang hisses loudly and nods, he bows “As you wissssssh Master”
Zurrgg smiles coldly”Good. Not to worry my plan is perfect. Before Summer ends Scioto will breathe his last”
