FV:Town Center

The gravelly path through the village gets wider the further into the village it travels until at the centre of the village it splits off into four around a large firepit just waiting for any excuse for a feast or celebration and still showing the bones and a few broken mugs from the last one around the edges. A large longhouse for meetings has been built on one side of the road, standing important, decorated with carved wood, shields, weapons, furs and a large skull over the door with the large similarly fearsomely decorated house of the chief sitting proudly beside it.

Meek in comparison across the road a smaller wooden building bares a misspelled sign over the door naming it the 'Infermery'. A few trees dot the edges of the clearing but buildings take over in most directions, only the north showing some vegetation within the village walls. To the west houses seem to spring up and take over the land while noise and masses of beasts take over the south around the market and shops. Down the eastern trail the village gates can just be seen with the tavern close by.

Blisa the cat, Ferdinand the ferret, Basilisk 'Basil' the snake, Clarissa the rat, Valerie the vixen, Riana the golden eagle.

Nightbreath the ermine.

Liam the marten.

The marten moves quickly, as quickly as a marten of his size and girth can muster at least. Though much of his bulk has been lost a lot more still refuses to let go of the marten's portly frame.

Truth be told Liam still feels better than he has in seasons. Or at least, until he ran into Leon on the road. Alas, if the mouse doesn't feel the need to tell the proper authorities then the marten will! And by proper authorities he means the chieftain.

Liam strides confidently up to the chieftain's house.

Nightbreath, with the quasi-prescience that won him his position in the village, predicted Liam's arrival and moves on an intercept course now towards the Chieftain's house, his sandals thwacking softly on the cobblestones. He arrives at the door to Scioto's house and waits for Liam.

And the door opens!! Suddenly. Ferdinand gives a yelp as he follows the livid little feline known as Blisa down the steps onto the street. "Where is BANDIT?!" She then turns around and, ignoring the whining snakey nose peeking out of the door, says, "Oh, hi Nightbreath Have you seen Bandit in the past, like, hour or so?" Ferdinand leans against the doorframe, rubbing his forehead as he gives a half-hearted wave to the approaching marten.

The marten is taken aback. His eyes dart from one beast to another. "Bandit? Probibly stuffing himself with food somewhere until he can't move." There was no love lost between the marten and fox. It was, in Liam's mind, only an eventuality until the portly head guard gave the Chieftain an excuse to feed him to the snake or until his diet killed him. Liam has no qualms about accelerating either process...

"But he's not important. Blisa, is your father in? I need to speak with him..."

"Er, I have not," Nightbreath says, caught slightly off guard for once. "Do you need him?" he asks, but then he shuts up for Liam to talk, closing his mouth with a "click" of fangs snapping shut.

Blisa spins around and fixes her green-eyed gaze on the marten. "I don't know where my father is, sorry. Perhaps I can help? I have some skills," she jokes (sort of) as she pats her dirk and dagger. Ferdinand looks at Liam like he's silently saying, 'Get her out of the house doing something.' The ferret, in all honesty, doesn't care if it's constructive or destructive (killing people), he just wants her to burn off her mental energy on something other than drawing dead things.

The marten raises an eyebrow then shakes his head. "I saw Leon on the road way. He was blathering something about DoraRose and Zinnia captured by...beasts? Or...something like that. I admit that a lot of what he said was lost because he was traveling with an eagle and...well," The marten shrugs, "I'm afraid of eagles, ok?"

"They're birds. They can be reasoned with," Nightbreath says, cocking his head to one side. "Well, there's only one course of action then..."

"We must go help rescue them!!!" Blisa shouts, not knowing that Leon of all poeple as got it well under control. Ferdinand sighs, then salutes. "Exthellent idea!! I thall go get Valerie and Claritha." He enters the house to do just that. Basilisk can be heard whining. Blisa puts her fists on her hips. "Do you know where they were? Did Leon say?"

The marten stares at them blankly. Blinking repeatedly. "Noooooo." He chuffs, "Leon kind of just...wandered off before he could tell me..." The marten taps his paws together, "Maybe we should find Bandit?"

Nightbreath shrugs. "Whatever Blisa deems to be the best course of action." He already has his sword on his back, so he's all ready to go. "Why would Leon wander off? That makes no sense."

"There's no time to find Bandit! We need to take action stat!! Come on!!" Blisa goes to grab both the ermine and the marten by the paw and tries to lead them to the gates. Clarissa, Valerie, and Ferdinand hurriedly follow, fully armed.

Liam whines, and loudly! "Nooooo! I'm not an adventurer! Why am I... eep!" He shouts as he is pulled along against his will...

Nightbreath allows himself to be led out of the village....

FV:Path to Ferravale

This path heads along a wooded path to the west and if one heads east they see the dirt road. Trees and bushes line the road here and slightly off the path is some berry bushes.

Exits: [D]irt [R]oad, [W]est

Blisa has led the (somewhat hesitant) group out of the village. "Where did you see Leona and the eagle?" Ferdinand, Clarissa, and Valerie are close behind, keeping a sharp lookout for danger. Sadly, they really aren't looking above. Riana is circling them from way up high, just watching for now......although that marten sure looks delicious! But that cat.....she seems /awfully/ familiar.....but the golden eagle can't quite remember from where......

The delicious looking marten trudges along more than hesitantly. He just doesn't want to be /here/. He's already gone for his morning walk. He wants to eat lunch and run his inn like a civilized beast. Who cares if a mouse finds himself in the gullet of an eagle?

"I saw him on the road, about there, by the trees.

Nightbreath growls when he spots a dark shadow passing by, following its path to the sky and quickly sighting the eagle. "Cover, now!" he barks, diving for a nearby bush.

Blisa eeps as Ferdinand and Clarissa grab her and dive into some bushes, too, closely followed by Valerie. Riana Thunderbolt dives for the ermine, not recognizing him. As she misses, she shrieks and lands, pecking at the marten. Blisa suddenly pops up and points an accusing paw at the eagle, ignoring the terrified pulls of Ferdinand. "You!! I recognize you! You were the eagle that Miss Angela was helping!" The eagle stares at her, recognition dawning in her mind. "You're that little cat....."

The marten falls flat on his rump, shouting in terror as he scrambles to all fours and dashes away. Again, something he can do after exercising. "DON'T LET HER EAT MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Nightbreath stands up and dusts himself off as if he jumps into bushes every day. No biggie.

And so Blisa and Riana have a chat. Nightbreath and Liam had to leave because IRL is a jerk sometimes, and I don't feel like RPing with myself (just whatever, man), so the cat and eagle's conversation is a mystery. You're welcome ;)
