STOATS! There are stoats in the stoat bakery. The two stoats of course are Robin, and Kentar. The old stoat, is sitting with his back to the counter, staring down at a piece of parchment that carries a broken imperial looking seal at the top and bottom, and both Rob and Kentar seem to read over the foreign language very carefully. Rob's arms are folded as he hovers over his dad's shoulder. "I don't know. Could be a trap." "But then again it could be real! I mean...we did have some pretty powerful family. Who knows?" The younger stoat just shrugs before Kentar speaks again. "Besides, I've never seen the homeland before. It could be great!" "Or it could be terrible! Remember everything before? Lets see...there was that time we all went to the eastern shores. You, Chris and Mum had gotten captured along with Jasper, you were tortured, almost bound to a chair with wheels. OH, and then there was that time Aikuen was offered a full pardon! Look what happened there. You and he almost got yourselves killed. OH and there was that time with the fox..." Kentar throws up a paw in frustration. "Yes yes, I know, I know. But Rob...I feel that this is real this time, I really do."

There might be some beast who might want to hear this. Maybe some sort of otter? And speak of the dark one, here comes one now! Tagger just got back from his 'holt' on the side of the river. The events of last night still reeling in his head. And he just cant get that stupid smile off his face. So. He decides to come into town. Maybe work at the bakery a bit. Plus, get to see the stoaty family. He walks into the bakery, just about the time the older stoat tosses his paws in the air. He chuckles, "What's going to be real this time?" he asks, walking toward the counter.

"Hm? Oh Tagger, hello." Kentar greets the otter with a bright smile. A bright one that is only destroyed, stomped on, and ripped to shred's by Robins next words. "I don't and I think its a terrible idea." he glances up to the otter and just nods. "We've gotten a letter today." Kentar shows it to Tagger, offering out the parchment of unreadable gibberish. "Apparently, some family member in our homeland passed away almost three seasons ago. And I was named in his will." Rob just shakes his head, leaning back against the counter. "Left me a small fortune, and a...large amount of land."

Tagger takes the letter and flips it over. Not making any head or tail about it. Cant read the darn thing. But he does give it a once over, "Seems pretty legit. The letter marks i mean." Tagger is always up for an adventure and he looks to the younger stoat, "Why do you think its a bad idea?" Tagg is unsure of the stoats history. Maybe there is a piece of the puzzle that he is missing, "Do you know who died?" he asks, passing the letter back to the older stoat.

Robin shrugs a little bit. "I don't know. Because everytime we go on an adventure, someone gets hurt. I don't know how much your mother has told you about your dad and mine, but so many adventures have ended up in somebody wanting us dead. Your dad for instance. We all went to his homeland to get him pardoned for 'crimes' and such that they claim he committed, and what happens? Somebody captures them both and tries to murder them." he nods. "We all went to the eastern shores one season to where dad grew up. But that turned out badly too. Death and evil follow us, Tagger. And I don't want that for my children." Kentar sighs a little and nods. "I know you're right, Rob, but this is real, I just know it is." he then shrugs. "The letter says that he was my grandfather's brother's daughter's son." he huffs after all of that. "Some stoat named Dorian K. Grodenchik." he leans back in his seat. " )

Tagger goes to lean against the side of a wall, picking a bit of jerky from his pocket and twisting in his claws, "Both mum and pop both told me what happened." though when he was a little pup. So it doesn't remember much, and what they did tell him might have been censored to protect him. He puts on a concerned face before placing a bit of the jerky between his cheek and fangs, "Though i guess your right. Bad luck always seems to find our family..." he thinks for another second before some of his military training comes into play, "Is there anybeast who might want you dead. That was the problem with pops. He was a wanted criminal..." The wanted poster in his pocket reminds him of that.

Kentar shrugs his shoulders a little bit. "Nope. Not that I can think of anyway. The last time we were captured, I think we killed them all then and there." Kentar replies, rubbing the back of his head. "No, I'm sure we did. I really can't remember anyone who might want me dead after so long. Besides, even if they do, all they'd have to do is wait a few more seasons." he jokes a little bit. Rob then just shrugs once more. "Not that I know of either. I've been to the homeland. It was an evil place, but from what I've heard recently, its reforming. So I guess it is possible someone might be trying to lure us there, but I can't imagine who. I just don't think that its a good idea to go." Kentar rolls his eye and sighs. "But Rob, I WANT to go."

Tagger twists the ends of his whiskers collected under his chin, "Well. It still might be dangerous..." he chuckles, "Sounds like fun." Because what is life without a little danger, but the otter still has some more questions, "Okay. Lets say in theory. We go. What are you gonna do? Are you gonna collect the fortune and leave? Or..." He raises an eyebrow, "Or are you gonna stay?" He wasnt planing to ask it, but it came up anyway.

"Well, I was thinking we could go, collect the money...maybe build a house on the land we've been given...a nice vacation spot for the family. Y'know, whenever we want a good little spot to go." Kentar replies. Rob stays quiet though. "And we'd stay...for a little while. I mean, I've never seen where I was born. I grew up on the eastern shores I mean, but when I was REALLY young. But I've never 'been' there that I remember. I've always wanted to but knew it was dangerous. But if its not as dangerous now, I really want to go. I've needed an adventure for such a long time. And this would be quite the adventure. I really really want to go."

Tagger chuckles and crosses his arms, "Hmmm. Sounds like a good enough plan." He looks to Rob, and puts on a slightly apologetic smile, "Well. Unless you can talk your pop out of it. I think its pretty good idea." Mostly because he has been noticing day and day now that the old stoat has been getting. Well. Old. And the otter thinks that this might be good for him in the long run. And hell. If Tagg comes along. It would make a GREAT report to the Camp. His sisters told him how excited Aik was to see his old place. And that was with full knowledge that he might be captured. So. He sees no problem with the stoat going.

The old stoat blinks a little bit. "What? You do!?" he smiles and reaches up to hug that otter firmly. "Hahaha, thanks Tagg!" he grins. He really does look like a dibbun at their nameday. "Alright I guess we could." Rob sighs a bit. "But I really don't think its a good idea." he shakes his head. "The letter says that we have to collect by the end of this season. Or we don't get what was willed to us and it will fall to another family member." Kentar explains as he glances down at the parchment again. "We should go really soon. Maybe...tomorrow?" Rob blinks and shakes his head. "No way. You've got to wait to make sure the rest of the family want to go or stay. I don't want to take the twins on this sort of trip. So I'd have to arrange a babysitter if Syla and I go too." Kentar blinks. "Oh yeah. Okay, well...maybe...over the next few days we'll think of something." he nods.

Tagger nods before he is 'attacked' by that old stoat, "Argh! Yeah yeah don't mention. It... Seriously, don't mention it" he chuckles and looks back to Rob, "Heh. Sounds like a good ole time to me!" And then Kentar says by tomorrow. And a rock drops in his stomach. What about Garo? True. They have only had one date. But it went really well. And. Well. He still wants to see her some more. He gulps to himself before Rob makes the point of getting everything ready. And the otter internally sighs relief. Good. that might give him enough time to think of something. So, he decides to ask the stoats a question, "A season is not lot of time. How are we getting there?" he asks leaning back on the wall.

Kentar seems to freeze up at that question. "Erm. Hm. Well, we could all sprout wings I guess. We'd walk obviously to the eastern shores. We'd catch a ship from there and sail off. Its not an island, so we wont get lost at least." he nods before standing. "BUT! I do have to find Christopher and tell him the good news." he grins, grabbing his cane, almost skipping to the door as he leaves. Rob just blinks. "I've never seen him so happy. Well, no. I've not seen him so happy recently."

Tagger nods again, sticking another bit of jerky in his cheek, "Alright. Sounds good." He then watches the old stoat trotting out the door. Seeming much younger for his age. Tagg chuckles as he goes behind the counter looking for some leftover bread, still talking to Rob, "Well. It did seem to wrinkle out his wrinkles." he chuckles, "I think it will be good for him..." He would say something that this might be the old stoats last adventure. But better not dwell on things like that. Kenty will be around for a long time. Tagg is sure of it. Tagg find a stale loaf and plops it on the counter, "But what do you think of it? You can be a little more blunt now that he is gone." he can fell it from the stoat.

Robin shrugs his shoulders a bit. "I think its a trap. Everything always is." he sighs a bit, taking up that seat that Kentar had left behind. "I just don't want anymore bad stuff to happen. Not right now. I'm a new father...well, kind of new. The twins have been around for almost a month now, and Thane is older...so." he glances towards the otter, deciding to move onto happier topics, grinning like a dope. "So! How was your date with Garo last night? After I left the tavern I mean." he winks. )

Tagger nods a bit, "It might be. It might be." Tagg doesn't seem all that concerned. Maybe its because he is still green around the ears. He has been in a war. Short as it might be. But he had dozens at his side. It just doens't seem that bad. Or maybe Tagg is just being stupid because of the effects of last night still buzz around him. With the mention of Garo, Tagg slightly chokes on the bread he had tossed into his mouth. After coughing and hitting his chest to unclog his pipe, the otter seems to have gone a shade of red, "It went... Very. Very. Well." he gives that stupid grin that he gets when he is around her. But Tagg will leave it like that. The otter, doesn't kiss and tell.
