Pleasant Greetings

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Bandit welcomes Drew the squirrel to Redwall. Drew introduces himself to Bandit by trying to kill him...

A bright sunny day has begun to chase away the remnats of snow around the redwall abbey. The air is still chilled but pleasent enough fo the brown furred fox to go on a walk out side the abbey. He waves to the two otter guards, one tall and lean with a sour look the other rather fat otter that is leaning apon his spear witha board look on his face. Bandit pauses to take a deep breath of the fresh spring air and begins to move down the road.

Drew is walking along the road towards the abbey and has yet to look up to see Bandit is outside, he walks at a semi-slow pace along the roadside

The fox is humming a pleasent tune as he walks along. He has a small snatchle over his back with various food stuff. Some apples, some dried fish, a pie...or two he snatched from the abbey. He walks down the road sees the squirrel approaching. He waves cheerfully and says, "Top of the morning mate" as he walks by

Drew looks up to start to say hello when he sees its a fox, he quickly backs up and draws forth an arrow and places it on the longbow prepareing to fire the arrow if need be and glares daggers at the fox "Back off ya scum vermin, why you so close to Redwall for?" He keeps a close eye on the fox as he speak.

Bandit reels backward, holding up his paws defensivly while still holding the strings to his burlap snatchle, "Whoa whoa whoa! Easy there old timer! No need to get violent." The fox takes a step away from the squirely archer. "No need to (gulp) shoot me."

Drew keeps the longbow draw back "And why not, your a fox near the abbey, there is my reason" His voice is like ice as he speaks, "Of course there is vermin around here, one reason I left seasons ago, what are ya up to?"

The fox inswardly sighs, leave it to bandit to get himself killed off by some lone crazed squirrel after a life time of adventure. The pudgy beast says to Drew, "I uh, live here. In the abbey. Im just out for a walk..." Bandit realizes his honest reply is rather vague

Drew eyes go wide "You..live there?!! Did the abbey get taken over!..Well you wont be going back in, I may just fire off this arrow here and now" He looks seriously ready to fire the arrow.

The fox drops the the bag and quickly shouts not quite panicky...yet, "What? No! Redwall is fine! It got a ttacked a few times sure, I even helped defend it once...there is heh, no need to make me into a pin cushion..."

Drew is now looking more angey and shakes his head, he lowers the longbow and goes to fire it anyways, not truely aiming at any certain part of the fox and the fact there is a couple gusts of wind, darn spring winds, and so he fires "Shut up vermin!" He also cusses at the gust of wind as he releases the arrow.

The fox yelps as the arrow grazes his side, leaving a thick red streak across the side of his stomach. Had he not lost all that wait it would have stuck inside his once masive belly. Instead bandit falls to his knees clutching at his wounded side, "Are you crazy!" he yelps in pain.

Drew blinks and grumbles "I must be I missed cause of the darn wind, I don't like vermin..foxes for sure, your kind tried to kill my clan!"

The fox looks up at the squirrel and it is his turn to glare at him. "I guess that answers my question then." From his crouched position Bandit depates trying to tackle the old squirrel. He certainly goes to do so but instead turns and bolts into the bushes. Bandit is no fool. He isnt going to stick around and be shot again, nor is he going to fight and find out the hard way what ever fox killing techniques drew has developed over the years. This fox is going for help!

Drew lets loose a yell and fires an arrow towards the bush, this one misses just barely as the fox is a moving target, he makes a fist with his right hand and takes a deep breath "Yeah run ya coward!"

Bandit

The fox you see before you is young and in the prime of his life. He stands the average height of his species if a bit broad shouldered. Bandit's fur coat is covered in light brow fur while his paws both foot and hand, are deep red up to his elbows and knees. A light yellow colored patch of fur starts at his chin and weaves its way down his neck, across his chest, and down his gut. This patch of yellow also spreads out to his under arms and inner legs.

The fox has a long pointed snout with large hazel eyes. His long triangle ears seem to twitch with every sound.

The vulpine's body is covered here and there by the occasional scar most of which are hidden by his fur. His body is also coated in a thin but healthy layer of flesh. Bandit has a small but rounded curve to his belly, otherwise you could call him trim and in shape.

The fox wears a set of simple but new clothes. A dark grey tunic adorns his chest loosely. The tunic is tucked into the snake skin belt about his waist and then comes out again, the end of the tunic hangs halfway to his knees, the back end is split to accommodate his tail. Over the tunic Bandit wears a brown cloth vest that comes to the bottom of his chest. He leaves it hanging open.

The fox's legs are covered by a pair of dark brown cloth pants that cling loosely to the fox's form. His paws are bare.

Drew

This squirrel is entering his mid seasons as his once bight redishish fur is a faded red in places and his ears tips a mix of black and bits of grey. His tail is bushy like most of his kind and he has deep blue eyes. He has numerous scars over his body and one on his lef cheek and half his left ear is gone. He wears a blue tunic and brown pants and keeps a longbow and arrows, and small dagger and sling with him at most times. He wears worn black boots on his footpaws.
