I started this conversation on another page ([[Building_Help_-_It_is_available%21_%28assuming_anyone_wants_it_%3A%7C_%29|Building Help - It is available! (assuming anyone wants it :| )]]), but that was getting kinda long, and I realized that other people might have questions about this very thing, so I'm moving the conversation here, and if you have any questions or helpful tips for lsedit (only!!!), feel free to post them here, too.  :)

DoraRose and Friends wrote:(Lsedit and the Webclient) I have a room in FV and I need to edit it. I wrote out a long, lovely little desc...but it turned out to be too long, and so got chopped in half. So my question is, how do you use lsedit on the Web Client in the upper right-hand corner of this page? I am very computer illiterate...whenever a computer messes up, I run to whoever owns it and hope against hope I didn't break it. :P So I need, like, MUCK building for Dummies or something. I'm really sorry if this is an annoying dilema...

Thanks!

Then select the MUCK and 'connect ' once it loads up.

There's a tutorial for LSEDIT, I think, somewhere deep within the forest known as the help guides of RWMUCK.

Do it from mudconnect.com because the client that's linked to this site acts all screwy w/lsedit.

It's pretty simple. I'll show you in more detail next week how to work it.

Would write out instructions now but I don't have the time :P

Oh, read 'Vaticus' Building Tutorial' under the help guides while you're at it. It's a good introduction to basic building.

I got my start from it.
