Long Patrol Uniforms 1

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

The Long Patrol is broken down into two basic groups: commissioned officers, and enlisted members. Further, we have three different main roles: runner, fighter, and healer. Thus, it is understandable that there needs to be an IC means of distinguishing these individuals. The following uniform descriptions should be incorporated into Long Patrol characters' descriptions. You don't have to use these descriptions verbatim, but you can if you wish. These are simple descriptions of each uniform type and instructions for when to wear them.

Service Uniforms

This is the uniform that your Long Patrol hare would wear on a daily basis around the mountain and on patrol. There is one description for the enlisted ranks, and another for the commissioned officers. There is also an additional piece at the end for each of the main roles a Patroller can fill: runner, fighter, and healer. Based on your level of promotion, add the correct rank insignia (if you aren't sure, you can find it here).

Enlisted

The uniform of a Long Patrol hare is quite basic. It consists of a leafy green tunic of thickly woven cloth. It seems to be designed so that it keeps out the cold, but the fashion in summer months is to roll the sleeves. The pants that go with the tunic are a dark, earthy brown, so that mud and dirt does not discolour them, and they are lightweight, designed with the marching hare in mind. A black belt wraps around the tunic at the waist so that the uniform is tightly fitting, and yet the wearer can still move about with ease. There are four pockets on the front of the tunic, and one on each trouser leg. The arms and shoulders of the tunic bump slightly, possibly for some sort of light protection. This uniform carries a small Long Patrol insignia sown into the front pocket. The collar of the tunic folds down, and the corners of the collar provide a handy spot to display rank insignia, in this hare's case a your insignia here.

Runner:On a pair of black shoulderboards that complete the tunic is a silver square, which shows this hare to be a runner.

Fighter:On a pair of black shoulderboards that complete the tunic is a silver bar, which shows this hare to be a fighter.

Healer:On a black band worn around the arm is a silver cross, which shows this hare to be a healer.
