RW Abbey: Entry

You stand on a grassy sward between two cottages. To the south you see a small, calm pond. To the north lies an open space where the Abbey has its feasts in the warmer seasons. To the east is the Great Hall, a massive structure that rises far above the abbey walls and is completed with large towers that pierce upwards into the sky. The main building is completed with a large, iron banded door that would allow one into the Great Hall.

The blanket of snow is replaced with the vibrant greens of spring. Newly sprung flowers and young shoots dot the path. They hold a promise of color and enhancement. The earth is relatively dry here, and the soil rich for growing, but muddy patches of dirt still can be found. Many Abbeybeasts can be seen tending to the gardens, though some are content with just being out and about, enjoying the warmth of the virgin sun and the pleasent weather. Dirt pawprints are tracked upon the clearing's surface, serving as witness to the fact that the majority of Abbeybeasts are caught up in the "spring fever." Most will will do just about anything, or make any excuse to be outside, eager to watch as spring colors emerge in scraggly clumps.

Flicktail the fox. LilyMoore the mouse. Boaz the hawk.

Flicktail is outsde picking up the leaves and branches from winter to take them to the firepit to burn

LilyMoore is walking slowly towards the gatehouse, head bent and arms crossed. The front of her skirt is wet from dishwater, and her forepaws are all wrinkly from the amount of time she was washing dishes. She doesn't seem to notice the fox, or if she does, she's ignoring him.

Flicktail looks up, his arms full of branches "Hullo lillymoore"

LilyMoore looks up, a little startled, then manages a small half-smile. "Hi, Flicky. Whatcha doin'? Would you like some help?" She looks immeasurably sad as she walks over to the Abbey Champion.

Flicktail says, "why yes I would, I am going to burn some o these leaves and branches...and if you like, we can warm up some honey nuts over the fire..." he notices her sadness hoping this will cheer her up some

LilyMoore smiles a tiny bit. "Thanks. I like honey nuts." She starts picking up leaves and branches, still looking sad. She pulls up the bottom of her apron and fills it with her load.

Flicktail leads her to the firepit where he has a flit and steel "Care to tell Uncle flicky why so glum?"

LilyMoore sighs heavily as she sets down her apron-load of branches and leaves. "I...I'm not sure if I should...I don't wanna get in more trouble..." she looks close to crying, but she sniffs wipes her eye with the back of her paw to stop the flood of tears.

Flicktail says, "ohhh Well I promise if you wantto talk..I will make sure you don't get in any trouble because of it...thats why I am champion after all"

LilyMoore smiles despite the rouge tears streamign down her cheeks. "I'm...I'm really sorry for...the mess I made in the kitchens a few weeks ago. I really am, I promise! But...I...I think Lacota's still mad at me...and I...I think I've dissapointed the Abbot...an' I can't bear that....I just got so mad at Lacota! He was yelling and threatening an'...an' I wanted to get back at him for yelling at me and for not staying quietly in the cellar, an'...an' now I wish i hadn't even gone to the kitchens! I wish I hadn't even been born!" She starts sobbing, and then she starts hiccupping because she's trying to not cry, and it just doesn't work very well.

Flicktail says, "awww" he leans down and opens his arms "come ere sweetheart....." he waits to see if she will come to him so he can cuddle and comfort her"

LilyMoore leans into the fox, sobbing brokenly. She is trying to say something, but she's crying too hard for it to come out, so she just gives up for now and continues to weep.

Flicktail rocks her hugging her in his warm fur rocking her gently "it's alroight sweet flower...sometime I like a good cry too...." He will let her recover some before he tries to talk with her

LilyMoore slowly stops weeping, and soon her tears stop flowing down her face. She sniffs and just lets the fox rock her, glad to have someone not mad at her for anything.

Flicktail helps wipe her face "Feel a lil better? You know I am Champion roight?"

LilyMoore sniffs and lets the fox wipe her cheeks. She may be 6 seasons old, but she is still a Dibbun in many ways. "Yeah, I know you're the Champion. Momma says you're very brave."

Flicktail says, "well How about I talk to Lacota and the Abbot and tell them how sorry you are...and how much you help me and how proud I am o you. I bet I can help them see yer a good girl.....after all that's part o my job".

LilyMoore looks down and starts to fiddle with the edge of her apron pocket. "Do you think they'll believe you? I mean, I made a really big mess, and Lacota's been making me peel potatoes and wash dishes like I'm a slave or something. I wanna become a warrior like you and Momma, but I don't think the Abbot'll give Momma permission to teach me..."

Flicktail says, "well They have always believed me before, and i always tell the truth....you are sorry right? And i will even tell them that when your a little older...and shown everyone how sorry you are...I still wanna train you....."

LilyMoore sits up straight, staring into the fox's eyes, hardly daring to believe her ears. "You...wanna train me? Y'mean, like, with the Sword of Martin or somethin'? Do you really mean it?" A small smile lights up her face.

Flicktail says, "of course I mean it...but lillymoore, you have to have some Patience....I think i can elp you but you gotta elp me to do it...."

LilyMoore clasps her paws eagerly. "I'll do anything, I swear, I'll do anything to learn how to be a warrior, I promise! What can I do to help you?"

Flicktail sits down with her "Well first you have to do good in yer classes...A warrior fights first wi her head, second wi her heart and last with a sword" Flicktail asks, "And Lilly, yer still gonna me me flowergirl at m wedding Day after tomorrow?"

Boaz has been doing a little flying, even when he was told be careful, but landing is not very pretty as when he goes to land he sort of rolls a couple times and bumps into the wall. He luckly still has the bandage on his chest, a fresh bandage it looks like.

LilyMoore looks down as she repeats, "A warrior fights first with her head, second with her heart and last with a sword." She looks up and nods. "Okay. *gasp* You want me to be your flower girl? Really? Are you sure?" She jumps slightly as the hawk runs into the wall. Her mouth open slightly, she says, "Are you okay?"

Flicktail nods "yes I really mean it...the other thing is you have to be a Good gel, and give me some time...no more temper tantrums...I promise I will be ere for ya My lillymoore" he looks at the Hawk "Good day Large bird"

Boaz looks between the fox and the mouse and frowns, he manages to stand upright and puffs out as he looks ready to slam his head into the wall" No eat mouse.....Boaz has to not, but mousie looks good, why must Boaz listen to the Leon Mousie." He sneaks a peek at the mouse and , yeah now he bags his head on the wall...he is finding it hard to keep a promise.

LilyMoore claps her paws happily. "Thank you! I'll be the best girl ever! No more tantrums! Thank you!" After giving the fox the greatest hug she can muster, she dashes off, waving to her friend the Champion. "Have a good night! And thank you!"
