Leon Is Worried About Lorimis

RW Abbey: Abbot's Chambers

The Abbot's chambers are a warm cozy set of rooms on the ground floor of the Abbey. The main chamber has large airy lead-lined windows that look out over the Open Ground of the abbey and beyond that the fields were they grow their crops.

The furniture in this initial chamber consists of a large desk and two bookcases by the windows. There are a pair of comfortable arm-chairs set up before the snug fire-place and a couple of chests tucked beneath an expansive side-board.

There are two doors off this central chamber, one leads into the Abbot's simple yet comfortable bed-chamber. Large well-made wooden bed, wardrobe, pegs for hanging items on and a small chair positioned by a small fireplace with a wash-stand in one corner. The other door is always kept locked and the Abbot likes to keep it a mystery as to what is in there.

It is early afternoon and the Abbot is lying propped up in bed, he looks thin, emaciated and has been coughing all night. Sister Clementis who has been keeping an eye on him and is currently trying to get him to eat some lunch.

Leon pokes his head in, he would of been in earlier but he needed to tend to someone in the infirmary. He walks the rest of the way inside.

Lorimis looks up when he spots Leon and immediately starts to get out of bed, throwing back his blankets and trying to stand up on shaky legs. Clementis moves in to try and stop him but he waves her back, "I can stand up on my own."

Leon frowns, "You should probably be trying to rest? How are you feeling Lorimis, I know you were coughing fairly bad a couple times during the feast." He walks over closer.

Lorimis stands up and shakes out his night clothes and pats Leon's arm as he gets closer. He then moves over to grab his habit, "I am doing fine Leon, it's just a cough really nothing to worry about."

Leon watches the abbot closely," Still, it would be best to let me check you and make sure of that. A cough can sometimes be worse than you know and you seem to be having issues standing very good." There is concern in his voice and he does go ahead and check his pulse, if he is able to very well.

Lorimis gently slaps Leon's arm away, "There is nothing to check, you are all fussing, it is just a little cough, a hold over from the winter. It'll clear up on its own." He smiles and finishes getting dressed, his habit hangs off his shoulders, he looks like he has lost quite a bit of weight. "Now then let's go downstairs and see what is for lunch."

Leon frowns, he still is concern and one can tell, "Have you been eating well Lorimis? You wouldn’t have to go to the infirm, as you can always stay in your room and your own bed to better recover, sometimes it’s better to be in one's room at times. Also a checkup is always good too."

Lorimis eyes Leon sternly, "I am quite fine Brother Leon, I already had Angela fussing over me as well! But fine if it will shut you all up you can examine me but be quick about it."

Leon takes a deep breath, yes he normally argues right back with most beasts, but this is the abbot. He nods "Thank you and...It’s just we are worried about you is all." He checks his pulse and studies how well he is breathing, “Does it hurt anywhere, or when you cough..any trouble breathing today?" He has not heard him cough yet today as he stays beside him.

The Abbot to your medical opinion and studies seems fine, he is thin, it is clear he has lost weight and his fur is thinner then it might otherwise need to be. He coughs at least once during the examination, half leaning over and wheezing. There is a very faint, very faint click, a rattle almost in his chest when you listen to his breathing but it is very faint. "See nothing to be worried about."

Leon hmmms softly, "Maybe, it’s possible your recovering from just a bad cough and cold. Still it is good to take it easy, and maybe try to eat a little more as it does seem your not eating as much past few days. Your breathing does seem fine right now..."

Lorimis says, "See I told you I was..." He trails off coughing again, leaning on his Master Healer and coughing for at least a minute "Ugh... well it will go away soon I am sure"

Leon frowns again as the abbot coughs, “But your still coughing, fairly bad. Maybe you should take something to help clear it or has Angela given you something already?"

Lorimis says, "She gave me something," He says evasively moving toward the doorway, "Some tonic that is supposed to help"

Leon nods as he listens, well there isn’t too much he can do right now, "Ok, hopefully it helps but if you get to feeling worse you need to let either me or her know...alright? Or least someone know"

Lorimis says, "Yes Leon I will do so if I can," He smiles softly at the Healer, "Thank you for being concerned"

"If you can?" Leon asks, “every beast just wants to make sure you’re ok, that’s all Lorimis. Liquids are also good when one is...a little under the weather and you can always rest and have someone else do some things for you, least till your little more recovered"

Lorimis pats Leon's arm, "I know you are all concerned about me Leon, it is touching but.. I will be ok."

Leon smiles "Your very important to the abbey, do you need help downstairs for lunch?"

Lorimis says, "No Leon, I can walk down stairs still if I take it slowly"

Leon nods, but he will stay close to him all the same "Alright, long as you take it slow."

RW Abbey: Great Hall

The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.

The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.

Soft light is slowly beginning to filter in through the stained glass windows high above your head.

a message (board) with notes tacked to it

Lorimis comes slowly down the stairs, walking cane click, clicking on the stones as he descends from upstairs

Zork looks up as he sees Lorimis enter the room and waves "Hey ya Lorimis, how ya feeling taday?"

Leon follows behind the abbot by a couple stairs, staying close but at the same time not too close, but enough to where he can help him if needed.

Lorimis exclaims, "I am fine! Really I am just fine Zork, Leon has done a checkup and I am fine."

Zork blinks, "Just asked.."He grins" I am glad ya be fine Abbot Lorimis."

Leon sighs "He does seem fine, or least nothing major I could see or hear during the checkup "

Lorimis gives Leon a sideways look and squeaks softly

Zork nods, “Seems a good day so far, then beasts are probably still tired from de feast. The feast was fun and a lot of good food."

Leon smiles some. "Yeah the feast was nice" He glances at Lorimis, “There is one thing, but maybe nothing to worry on too much, Lorimis should try to eat a little better and would probably help you recover better too Lorimis as you do seem a little thin, don’t think like worry a lot thin just..."

Lorimis says, "I will be just fine thank you Leon though I am not really that hungry just yet"

Zork says, "think lunch is simple today, maybe Lacota could have a novice bring something to your room later"

Leon asks, "have you ate today Lorimis?"

Lorimis says, "Yes I ate breakfast"

Zork says, "Breakfast is always important"

Lorimis says, "Yes it is but I find I am rarely hungry at lunch time"

Leon nods “Good, even if it was just a little breakfast...just make sure to eat a good dinner. "

Zork says, "I sometimes like to eat between breakfast and lunch instead"

Lorimis says, "No I don't want anything thank you, stop trying to feed me."

Leon says, "Not saying eat now, just when you’re hungry eat something is all, and make sure getting water to drink that important too"

Zork says, "Ya sound worried Leon, I am sure Lorimis will have a snack when he wants to, he can get one earlier than most after all"

Leon says, "It’s my job to make sure every Beast is healthy and fine , whether it’s the abbot, you, or some other abbey beast"

Zork says, "Ya also work too hard sometimes Leon"

Leon shakes his head and starts to say something and decides not to, he then quietly says "I...do not, now excuse me I am going to go talk with Angela." He glances at the abbot and the Zork," Stay with the abbot in case he needs any help" He walks off mumbling something.

Lorimis watches Leon head away and shakes his head, "If those two do not stop mothering me I am going to order them both to leave me alone."

Zork chuckles a little "Well they couldn’t not follow an order from de abbot. Leon tries ta get me ta do less sometimes too...maybe he will leave ya alone for a while he seems moody right now some reason"

Lorimis says, "Ah well I think everyone is worrying about me and Leon has a lot on his plate with Lilymoore, she has been acting up something awful. But I think she is on the right path now. I gave her the history of Mattimeo to learn that should help her."

Zork nods "I know some of his history, ya seen fine to me Lorimis, then that’s just me."

Lorimis starts to answer but has to stop and cough, leaning in close against you, "Ugh... sorry."

Zork tilts his head , "You ok there Lorimis?"

Lorimis says, "Yes... yes just this... dratted cough."

Zork asks, "Have ya taken something for it? So just a cough nothing else right?"

Lorimis says, "Yes," he smiles, "Angela made me something, it is revolting," he shakes his head, "I will be fine," he does look thinner however"

Zork nods "Long as you are sure you’re ok, then I am sure beasts would help you with anything if needed, maybe I can help you with something even, not sure wot though"

Lorimis says, "Thank you Zork, I am sure everyone will be most helpful as usually."

Zork smiles," So your day seems to have been good so far"

Lorimis says, "YEs today is being one of my better days that is for sure, thank you for caring though Zork."

Zork nods. "I promised Zinnia I would help her with something, you have a good day Father Abbott, and I'll talk to you later"

Leon has stayed off to the side, still concern for the abbot as he watches him from a distance and frowns at the cough, he sighs and decides to go speak with Angela, like he had planned to do.
