Jake welcomes Kiara Back

Jake is here in the infirm, in a cot on the far side of the room.

Kiara walks into the infirm, looking around; she frowns slightly as she isn't one that likes infirms much.

Jake is asleep in his bed, his leg bandaged up and in a cast, he moves slightly as he is not too deeply asleep.

Kiara slips over to where Jake is and sits down in a chair, she sighs and gently touches his forehead, she shrugs and moves her paw away and looks around the room again wandering where most are right now.

Jake moves a bit as his paw touches his forehead and mumbles to himself, he opens his good eye and yawns, "Hate this bed...need out of here."

Kiara grins, she then speaks "Then go downstairs or something.....I can help you downstairs. “She waits for a response to this.

Jake raises an eyebrow at the voice, he fold his arms over his chest “I don't need any..bally..."he stops as he sees who it is that spoke to him and smiles wide, this causes him to sit up and do his best to try and hug her "Kiara!"

Kiara lets him hug her and returns one of her own, she smiles "Hey Father, ummm..I decided to come back. “She looks him over "so..besides the leg, you’re ok?"

Jake just smiles "The leg s the...only injury yes, I am fine and better now that you are back."

Kiara nods " That’s good, could be worse suppose"

Jake sighs "Trust me....don't want that" he seems to debate on telling her something and decides it's best not to just yet. “I missed you and a glad you are back"

Kiara nods "Me neither...an otter mentioned some...rat or something, let me guess..you tied to fight it."

Jake sighs and shakes his head “Not at the blooming time it happen, was on my way back from my friend's boat...had a backpack on my back, good thing too..the rat stabbed a poison dagger into what he thought was my back, it was the backpack instead...I lost my balance when it happen and had tried to punch the rat, fell into the ditch as was close to it at the time, guess the rat thought I was dead, probably still does..so won't be on the walltops for a few days..and can't go too far with a broken leg anyways, supposed to stay off it for a bit anyways."

Kiara listens as he explains and frowns, she smiles some after he is done "I am glad you’re ok, would of hated to come back and...heard otherwise."

Jake smiles again and nods "Me too but I do hope you’re staying..and if not lest wait till the rat business is over with, please can’t have any one else captive or..worse"

Kiara frowns "No one has died of cause of the rat...have they?"

Jake shakes his head 'No, just a captive...as far as I know I just don't want a death to happen”

Kiara nods slowly 'Alright, that’s good least in since no deaths”

Jake nods "I am hoping to leave t no deaths from this, and just take care of the rat....then go on with life"

Kiara nods "Well all should be ok, right?....and as for me staying inside I don't mind to its just...I am not a dbbun any more I am 6.5 seasons now and know some defense skills, so if it was..needed I could."

Jake frowns " I do not want to lose you, you will not go near the rat if he shows up, please...."

Kiara sighs "You won't....fine I will not go looking for him, not that I planned to..good grief" she mumbles "Treat me like a dibbun......"

Jake frowns at this " Look I worry and I already lost..though wasn't to an attack but she is still...." he frowns and lays back down and faces the wall.."Gone" sadness in his voice.

Kiara goes from looking angry to worry and watches Jake, she frowns "Who is gone?" she asked worried now..'Wot?...."

Jake answers after a short while, quiet tears on his face as he faces the wall..'Honeyfern..." he says softly and is silent again.

Kiara blinks and frowns "Gone?...you mean.." she decide not to say the word dead and lays a paw on his shoulder "I am sorry..."

Jake sighs "it's...the little ones are ok..born right before she.." he sniffs and goes on "Starlight and Bastien, bout a...little over half a season old now, probably with Oz or something."

Kiara nods and sighs, she smiles faintly "You still have them then...right, and you have me too" she smiles more and sits there quietly.

Jake smiles a little " Yeah still have you and them..and friends to help, it is good and it helps"

Kiara smiles "Friends are good to have, I didn't seem to make many after I left “

Jake nod "Friends help a lot" he faces her again and rubs the wet fur under his eye, he smiles some again

Kiara smiles "So..any feasts coming up soon, know fall one in few weeks"

Jake grins "A mid-summer one in just a few days...then yes fall harvest one weeks after that, two fairly close together...fun "

Kiara laughs some "Fun is probably needed right now, fun gets one’s mind off things"

Jake smiles “Feasts are always fun and have great food"

Kiara nods "I think seen one before, Redwall always has the best food and fun"

Jake smile "I am glad your back Kiara, it has brightened my day, not so bally well moody bout my leg now...it still hurts some but it's healing alright just will take some time."

Kiara nods "I am happy to be back too" she hugs him again and smiles. "And missed you too by the way."

Jake smiles at the hug, "How about you let me sleep..we can talk later alright, maybe I can limp down to the Great HALL little later"

Kiara nods as she stands "Alright father....sleep well." she smiles and heads to the doorway.

Jake soon falls sleep after this.
