INTRODUCING the Warrior and the Healers Dibbuns!!!! :)

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

This room is as wide as the one below it, if not quite as tall. The roof meets at a visible point above your head. There is a single window that looks out over the entry area of Redwall, but it is quite small and has thin pale blue curtains partially drawn over it. The room itself appears to have been very recently remodeled by a skilled craftsbeast and it also has been well furnished with a wooden bed frame that is complete with a head and footboard, two small chests of drawers, a simple chest sitting at the bottom of the bed and on the floor is spread a thick woven rug. The bed is just the size for two beasts to sleep in it comfortably and it is covered in a mid-weight blue blanket and made complete with two pillows. In one corner of the room, is a beautifully constructed baby cradle. The entire area has a very peaceful, secure feeling about it with few shadows but rather soft, warm light spread by several candles placed strategically about and a lit oil lamp hanging from the rafters.Exits: Climb [Down] the Ladder

Friends:Emyuil the mouse. DoraRose and her children, Caleb and LilyMoore, mice. Benar the squirrel. Oz the badger.

Emyuil heard that the Dibbuns had arrived and at the first opportunity battered aside everything in his path to see them. He now charges at top speed into the loft, screeching to a halt by the bedside, breathing a bit raggedly.

Benar met the dibbun the other day when Leon brought them to the Great Hall to meet the Abbot and so the squirrel has decided to drop by to give his congratulation to Dora in person. Knocking politely on the door to the cottage below.

DoraRose glares at her brother. "You're gonna wake them rushing in like that!" she then smiles and murmurs "Go ahead and look at them while I get the door." She opens said door and smile softly at the Elder. "Good day, Benar."

Benar smiles at DoraRose from behind a large basket filled with the beautiful red roses the Abbey is famous for. "Good Day DoraRose, congratulation. I just wanted to drop this off and give you my best." he holds out the basket it is filled with a variety of food-stuffs and some small article of clothing. "I had everyone in the order give their gifts and presents to me so they wouldn't all swamp the cottage."

Emyuil fumbles a bit, then tenderly picks up each mousebabe, one in each arm, gazing into their bright young eyes and stroking the headfur of each, first the male, then the maid. "They're...they're beautiful," he whispers in a hushed tone, awe evident in his eyes. "What are their names...?" He's off in his own world, totally unaware of Benar's entry, let alone his payload. All that he sees--or needs to see--is himself, and the two Dibbuns in his arms. He softly croons a soothing, ancient tune from his own Dibbunhood, the song carrying the subtle melody of the Eastern Plains, of Tuscani, of rolling grassy fields stained golden by the sun as the tall, knee-high grass ripples like the waves of the sea as the wind gently caresses the blades...

DoraRose gasps and takes the basket. "Oh, thank you!" she breathes, a smile wreathing her face as she smells the flowers. Setting the presents on the table, she softly answers her brother's question...in part. "His name is Caleb, and her name is....um, well, you might want to sit down for that." The little Dibbun maid snuffles in her sleep and waves a tiny fist in the air.

Benar smiles softly, "I'll leave you be with your family for now DoraRose, I am sure you do not need me in the way."

Emyuil frowns slightly and sits down on the edge of the bed, never having noticed Benar's presence _at all_. He strokes the maid's outstreched paw gently and gulps, awaiting his sister's words.

"Oh, you don't have to leave, Benar. You can stay and hold one of them." DoraRose sits by he brother and smiles softly and joyfully at her daughter. "Her name is LilyMoore."

Benar steps inside, voicing his thanks to Dora Rose and peers at them, "Oh Dora those are truly beautiful name really they are...."

Emyuil blinks a few times, before any tears can form. "'rose," he murmurs hoarsely. "That's...beautiful way to r'memb'r her." He sniffs and holds the infant mousemaid close, against his shoulder, pressing one cheek against the Dibbun's face before nuzzling Caleb as well. "Beautiful," he repeats hoarsely.

DoraRose rubs her brother's back, then kisses the top of each dibbun's head and Emyuil's forhead. She goes back to the basket and digs through it some more. "Thank you."

Inside the basket are clothing for the mice, food stuffs, a couple of books on being a mother donated by some of the sister. A large card from the dibbuns and abbey school and a tiny little clay model from Benar of both mice children being held by Leon and DoraRose. "I am sure your family is going to be a special one DoraRose" he murmur as he smiles down at the little ones

Emyuil closes his eyes and leans against his sister, still clutching each Dibbun. "Y' can say that again," he finally says shakily, the first thing he's said to Benar since the Elder's entrance. "'s...amazin'."

DoraRose grins and sets the clay sculpture on the windowsill. She's moving around so much, Emyuil has no chance to lean on her anymore. She puts the books on one of the chest-of-drawers beside some she's gotten in other places. Looking at each piece of clothing, she smiles more and more brightly and puts them in the top drawer of the same mirror-less dresser. She leaves the food and flowers in the basket and pulls out the card and sitting beside her brother to read it. "All creatures are special..." she murmurs absentmindedly.

Benar smiles gently at the brother and sister, "Indeed, everyone is special in their own way but it is a good thing to see a new life come into the world and the joy they bring."

Emyuil nods. "Aye, joy's good." He smiles slightly and whispers to DoraRose, "Mum'n'Da' would be proud. Like I am." He kisses his sister briefly on the cheek before saying to Benar, "So...will the Abbey provide for education...?"

DoraRose blushes slightly, then turns to Benar with a frown of slight concern on her face. "I heard that Zarok bit somebeast, but no one's really explained it to me. Is he alright?"

Oz had been out of his room a very short time and came to the gatehouse when he heard voices upstairs, he decides to take a quick peek curious.

Benar is still smiling at the babies but at the mention of Zarok he glances at DoraRose, "Zarok is talking to the Abbot today.... Lorimis will decide what is to be done about what happened. I think Zarok is in for a dreadful time," he grins softly, "He's off to Abbey School at last."

"Zeus help the poor teachers," Emyuil says, whistling in amusement. "I hope they like muddy claw prints all over the walls."

DoraRose looks at her brother questioningly. "What makes you say that?" LilyMoore wakes up and starts to wail loudly, and her mother picks her up and snuggles the Dibbun on her shoulder.

Oz knocks lightly on the door and waits, he has watched a short while and speaks softly, his voice a little low, "The dibbuns were born, I was not told then again..."

"Because Zarok is rather...energetic," Emyuil says with a grin, stroking LilyMoore's forehead, whispering, "Sleep, little flower...The sun will light your way." A flash in his eyes as he speaks, remembering the same words many seasons ago...He leaves LilyMoore to DoraRose and rocks Caleb gently.

Benar smiles at LilyMoore as she starts to fuss then perks his ears and goes over to take Oz's paw, "Come in Oz, please, I am sure DoraRose would love for you to meet the little one." he then nods to Emyuil, "Of course, all who live here in the abbey are welcome at the Abbey School."

Emyuil settles down for a moment, but suddenly the amount of beasts present in this room seems to start to get to him and he hastily hands Caleb to his sister and mumbles something about sharpening Nevermore as he makes a quick exit.

DoraRose frowns as her brother leaves so ubruptly, then passes Caleb off to Oz as LilyMoore wails even more loudly. "Could you please put Caleb in bed for me?" She suddenly looks very tired, but doesn't say anything on the subject just yet.

Oz blinks as he is handed the small infant mouse and looks down at him quietly, he is silent and has a few tears as he closes his eyes handing him to Benar, hopfully Benar takes him, "I..can't him right...now..I'll be in my room,I'm sorry" He exits.

Benar takes the baby, cradling him and watches Oz hurry away back toward the abbey and sighs sadly, "Oh dear... Oz...." he has tears in his eyes and cradles the small baby mouse tightly, "DoraRose... did you hear what happened?"

DoraRose shakes her head as she begins to walk around, looking more and more tired as she does so. "No, what? Would you please put him in his cradle?"

Benar moves over to set the baby down, "Someone murdered oz's son, his adptive son... Maxton...."

DoraRose frowns and closes her eyes in pity. "That's....terrible....I'm, I'm sorry, I....I need rest...." she sits on the edge of the bed and rocks LilyMoore to sleep.
