Hey, lookit! Another Dibbun in Ferravale! Yay!

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

FV:Entry

The scent in the air notably changes within the village compared to the sweet fragrant flowery smells outside the east gates. Stale air, rotting food and the occasionally not particularly pleasant smelling inhabitant all assault the nose until it gets used to things. Mercenary guards patrol the high wooden palisade wall separates the vermin village from the outside world, the only break in sight in the form of the main gate to the village to the east. North of the path one of the few stone buildings in the village stands a little run down, now an inn it butts up to the side of the tavern and boasts many beds available, at least that's probably what the sign says, much like the building it's old and the beast who wrote it has probably died of old age long after the paint was last touched up. West finally buildings begin to spring up everywhere and the path widens into a large clearing at the centre of the village.

High noon. Warm, slighty slushy. From the area of houses comes Garolyn. Her usually more mysterious aura has been replaced by one more...explosive. Her cloak swishes behind her ominously, and her hood is up, obscuring her face. Any beasts around diligently give her her customary bubble of personal space. Probably the most noticable thing is that her brother (nicknamed Silent Bob the other day) is not with her.

Astra is on guard duty right now and looks back and forth as beast pass by her, she moves some headfur out of her eyes.

The explosiveness of Garolyn is now complemented by the apperance of Blisa and her ferret guard. Various creatures smile slightly at the sight of the kitten dashing around, laughing as the guard chases her. Yes, he is on duty, but what's wrong with giving the dibbun some joy? Shrieking with laughter, they dash right in front of the mercenary.

Garolyn stops short and looks down, watching the dibbun. She seems to debating what to do- and then she remembers a few things. Yeah, she may be in a bad mood, but! No reason that can't change. She changed it yesterday, so why not today? She throws back her hood and watches the two run for a moment, before grinning slightly beneath her veil. She chuckles.

Astra watches Blisa play and smiles softly, she still stays alert and watches the dibbun closely

Through the gates comes, or more so runs, a young lad of a rat. His fur is quite messed up and he looks around widely for someplace to conceal himself. It seems he is playing yet another one of his games of hide and seek.

Blisa laughs and runs smack-dab into the rat. Falling, she gasps out, "Sorry!", then tumbles into the snow. The guard looks so very worried and asks without thinking, "Are you both alright? Thorry, young thir, are you OK?"

Garolyn laughs outright- dark moods can be lost easily with the right amount of energy put into trying. She keeps walking, on her way out of the village for a short trip. But now, she can leave with a lighter heart.

Warwick gasps as he runs into Blisa and he also falls over. He quickly scrabbles to his feet and glances at the guard. "I fine." He offers a paw to Blisa so as to help her up as he says. "You know anywhere I could hide?"

Blisa smiles slightly as she accepts the rats' paw. "You could hide at my house. Why do you need to hide?"

Warwick glances over his shoulder quickly then turns back to her and nods. "Your house would work. I playing hide and seek." He keeps the description of his game brief.

Blisa smiles brightly and breaks into a run, dragging the other dibbun after her, with the guard hard on their heels.

Warwick runs quickly behind Blisa, throwing mixed glances of fear and excitement over his shoulder every now and then.

FV:Chieftain's Home:Main Room

The inside of the home is large, a door leads to the sleeping quarters and another to a kitchen area. This room has a large window looking outside with nice navy blue curtains on it. The floor is wooden and a large fireplace keeps the room warm in those cold months.Above the fireplace is a large painting of the Chieftain and his mate.In the room also is a table and a few chairs to sit in.A large bookcase is by a far wall with many books of all kinds on it.

Blisa shuts the door behind them. "Why are you playing hide-and-go-seek, and with who..whom? Whatever." The guard enters the kitchen, aiming to make some tea.

Warwick looks around quickly, remembering the first time he was here. He quickly takes a place behind the door and shrugs at the kitten. "I'm playing with me brother, Hackle. He said it teaches someone how to e sneaky." He wrings his paws behind his back. There seems to be something he is not telling the cat.

Blisa stands with her nose a few inches away from Warwick's. "What is it? Tell me. Please." And, yes, the please is an afterthought.

Warwick gulps, then nods, courage not being one of his strong points and as he remembers his last encounter with the kitten (where she threatened to rip his ears off) he seems to get even more nervous. "Well, you see, Hackle says that if you get found you got to pay him money, or do anything he says for a /long/ time."

Blisa looks confused. "Got caught doing what? C'mon, you can tell me, I know how to keep a secret. And I won't rip your ears off this time."

Warwick grins halfheartedly, taking her at her word. "Get caught hiding in hide and seek! And also stealing. He says if you steal and get caught, you arn't a true McLaughen."

"Why are you stealing? It's wrong, and I'm sure Daddy would help you if you asked. I'm willing to help." Blisa smiles, accidentally showing off her rather pointy white teeth.

Warwick flinches a little as he sees the teeth, but he pulls it together. "Stealing is a family tradition! It be an honor to be a McLaughen and to keep that honor, you got to steal." He might come across as slightly defensive, though he wants to do anything that involves the cat not getting angry.

Blisa cocks an eyebrow, but decides to not argue at this time. "Some traditions are good to break. I'm starved. Let's eat!" she dashes off to the kitchen to get the food.
