Helping Aster
- Somewhere slightly north of the abbey*
Selina said she would help and help she shall, she is picking late fall flowers before the snows kill them all as they will make a nice decoration.
Safana is walking along the road towards the abbey, maybe for a quick visit to see if it’s changed any since she left, she frowns as some memories start flowing threw her head.
Aster sneers and points to the mouse maid, “There be our first slave for Nightfur, help me grab her.”
Selina luckily did not hear that as she places some still colored leaves in her basket and smiles, she starts to then head to the road as she as in the woods a small distance.
Safana frowns, “This close to the abbey, I mean what if..”
Aster shakes her head “What if..what if..oh shut up, fine I will grab her.” With that she doesn’t even wait too long as the mouse maid walks onto the road she goes to grab her from behind and places a paw over her mouth. “Your mine” She whispers.
Safana sighs and just watches, unsure what to do, she hears a small gasp and turns to see two hedgehogs, a male and female, looking at what just happen, she frowns now.
Selina eyes go wide in fear and her basket is dropped, she struggles to get free from the cats grasp and kicks and tries to scream but it’s all muffled.
Aster hisses, “Grab the pin cushions! Do it before they alert that stupid abbey!” She then ties the mouse maid’s paws behind her back and then some of the rope to keep her arms and legs from moving and picks her up and over her back.
Safana goes into action and quickly draws her blade and goes to block the hedgehogs, the female gives up fairly quick” Please..please we were just simple travelers, needing a place for winter.” The male swings at Safana with his staff, which she grabs and grabs it from him, she uses it to knock him out as the female starts sobbing and shaking.
Selina shivers and looks around wide eyed as she finds she can’t get loose and the rope tieing she looks ready to give up any hope of getting free
The male hedgehog is knocked out cold as the female shakes him, “Jim..Jim…” She looks at Safana with a look of fear, ”Please don’t kill us we..we will do as you say, just…we can even say we didn’t see this and be on our way its winter soon we need a place to stay” Safana starts to frown a little but says nothing.
Aster sneers “We'll have a nice place for ya, Nightfur’s slavery hideout, you get food and drink…not the best and it’s a little less cold and you can stay” She smiles coldly “Forever..” She chuckles coldly and heads on up the road “Come on Safana let us go, need a good campsite”
Selina lets the tears fall as she is carried off and looks back at Safana with pained eyes.
Safana shakes her head, to many pained looks and looks of fear and at her, she takes a deep breath and picks up the male hedgehog and looks at the female, “Come on, you won’t be harmed if you come along quietly.” The hedgehog nods and follows her, tears down her face, she follows out of fear and has given in to being a slave.
- A few hours later in a slaver campsite*
Aster grins at the 3, a mouse and 2 hedgehogs, “Look all chained up, 3 slaves for Nightfur, pity none is from the abbey, speaking of which we need that otter dibbun brat.”
Safana sighs, “I can try and get her, but why a dibbun they can’t do much”
Aster smiles coldly, “For the gold and he said she was his to begin with, and he wants her back so your going to get her for him and bring her here. And dibbuns tend to listen better than grown beasts, you can make them fear you a lot faster than most”
Safana frowns “I rather not have dibbuns fear me”
Aster looks at her closer, “Part of de job, want to be a slaver you have to make them fear you, I am guessing you don’t do this much.”
Safana answers, “I have fought, and even was on a ship with slaves but left and freed them, course my crew hated that, got a new crew they didn’t like me..threw me overboard since they heard I helped the abbey, but it was because of a wildcat named Raymond I was in love with, so I came back to find he died and he is..gone and” Tears go down her face. “No one was there to help me or anything.”
Aster grins an evil grin, “Ya won’t find comfort at the abbey, place of fools, they sooner banish some vermin, and the fox who is the champ is a fool and weak, he may not even fight well and has let the woodlanders get to him so much he may as well be one.”
Safana sighs, “Flicktail does fight very well I have seen him fight”
Aster shrugs “So, he is a traitor to all vermin, vermin should not befriend woodlanders, the woodlanders are meant for one thing only, slaves..or target practice maybe if they are a bird.”
Safana shrugs and slowly stands, she looks at the two hedgehogs and the mouse maid, and back to Aster, “I am going to the abbey and…get the otter for you” She walks off and seems to think of the day’s events, does beasts care what she does? Why does she seem to feel less caring? Why did she just stand there and help get slaves? Is she becoming something her brother hates the most?
