Groups FAQ

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

How do I create a new group?

Go to the "Create Content" link and select "Group" from the list. You'll be asked to provide a name, a description and a number of details about how you want your group to be acessable (i.e. public or private group, whether it's invite-only, etc).

Can a group have more than one moderator/owner?

No. For now, this is a hard coded limitation. The person who creates the group is the one with ownership of the group.

What happens if the group owner disappears or gets a new leader?

Admin or a webmaster can change the owner of a group by changing the "author" setting of the main group page to the name of the new owner.

How do I post content so it only shows up for my group?

From the "Audience" list under the Body text field, select your group (ctrl-click for multiple groups) and uncheck the "Public" checkbox. If you're making a post that would normaly appear automaticly on another page, like a News story, it will appear both on your group page and on the main list, but only group members will be able to see it if it's not set public.
