Good News..Bad News
- OOC NOTE: To explain something, OOCLY had a quick chat with Anomen and he said to just say his character died while in a deep faint , so it’s mentioned ICLY in this log by the whisper of a random novice healer NPC ***
RW Abbey: Infirmary
Several beds are lined against the red sandstone walls of the Abbey's Infirmary. An examination table, separated from the rest of the room by hanging blankets, rests against the far wall. Tucked into a small alcove is a sizeable workbench with various containers for mixing and preparing medicinal compounds. Against another wall is a desk for use by the Infirmary Keeper. A curtained off alcove behind the desk hides a locked door to the Infirmary's supplies and linens.

Leon walks into the infirm; it has been an interesting past couple days, heck past week in fact. He goes to check on varies beasts in the infirm.
Rayen has been in a faint for a few days, and today is the first day she makes a sound and a movement. Her eyes flutter open as she tries to speak and coughs roughly.
Leon is at her side in a heartbeat, "Rayen?" He has had one too many close calls. He goes to check her pause and studies her closely. A novice taps him on the shoulder and whispers something to him which makes him frown, he nods "Thank you for the..the info." He turns his attention back to Rayen.
Rayen looks at Leon, "W.Where?" She coughs and gets a sip of water from one of the novice healers helping, a vole maid named Kelly who smiles. The vixen looks around and seems to panic, "Where..my baby...?" Worry starts to creep in.
Leon speaks calmly “She is fine, Flicktail has her" He decides not to mention what happen with the short time dibbun napping, all that matters is the infant is safe." Calm yourself you have had a rough past few days, you’re lucky Flare and Thunderwing found you when they did and that they got a healer to you and then got you here or...well may of been a different story and I rather not deal with any other deaths this week."
Rayen frowns but seems worried to ask who died, "Ok"
Leon checks her over as he speaks "You still should stay in the infirm and rest. If Flicktail is not able to watch the baby I am sure Oz or one of the abbey beasts will help."
Rayen nods, her pulse and breathing is good and any fever she had, has gone down now and should stay down but she is still very weak and tried and will be for another couple days at least. It would seem she is out of danger now from getting worse." Did I..miss much?" Her voice is tried sounding but not too weak,"Wh..who did die? If you rather not say..." She knows some beasts went to go on a rescue mission, and that was before she was in her faint.
Leon decides to answer" Anomen....and news? Well one bit of good news is Abbot Benar was found and rescued along with others who was there. The only other one hurt bad was a beast named Rascal, no one else was seriously hurt, captives or those on the rescue part, all..." He frowns "Almost all, got back safe."
Rayen frowns, "Sorry to hear. I know him he was going to get back on the list of guards..right?"
Leon nods "Yeah. I talked with one of the order beasts, Anomen fought off 6 of the martens before he got the arrow in his back and managed to walk most of the way back to the surface, if..if it wasn’t for him there is a good chance my mate, 2 order beasts and 4 dibbuns may of died..I..I am unsure but he most likely helped Lee and Chud get Benar and Rascal out as well. I tried my best to help Anomen but...well healers don’t always save lives, and I know that."
Rayen listens, "That is, is true Brother Leon. Don't let this death think your any less of a healer. You tried your best after all and did what you could." She smiles "And..you helped me to recover it would seem"
Leon manages a smile "Yes, I did. And I know not all beasts can be saved. He was hurt fairly bad, he could of easily of died before this morning. I would like to think it was without much pain as he never woke from a faint he went into before he got to the infirm." He checks on Rascal and speaks to a novice before coming back over to Rayen, "For now, we remember those who passed and be glad for those still with us. Also there is a feast in a week time's now, something happy to think on"
Rayen says, "Your be off on your..trip then, who will be in charge of the infirm while your away?"
Leon answers "Angela, I trust her and she will do a good job and once you’re feeling better you can always help but try not to start doing things again right away you did just have a baby after all and are recovering from being in a sort of faint yourself for past 3-4 days. I can make sure you get some good food and if you like you can try and feed the baby also." He then adds "A little girl in case you had..not know" He is not sure she did, he was told she passed out rather quickly after all.
Rayen smiles "Juliana, that shall be her name and yes I would like that very much, thank you. I am sure Flicky will be glad to know I am awake and gonna be ok now"
Leon smiles "I think that is a perfect name and yes trust me he will be overjoyed to know. I can have an order member tell him and have one get Juliana for you as well, or later if you feel the need to rest first as rest may be best for now."
Rayen nods "Thank you Brother Leon, yes rest is best for now." She closes her eyes to get some rest, she can see her baby tomorrow, when she is better awake and feeling bit less weak, she smiles some and is soon asleep.
Leon makes sure a healer stays by the vixen while he goes to let others know Rayen is awake, but also of the sad news of the guard Anomen.
