The day is drawing to a close. The sun is going down already off in the distance, and the dark is growing fast. Kentar leads the pack, walking as if he didn't even NEED a cane, though seems to be tiring out quicker. "I say we set up a camp." He nods. But Rob quickly shakes his head. "No need, there's an inn to the northeast." he says with a smile. "Should be enough rooms for all of us." Chris only smirks a little. "Awesome...I get to sleep in a bed tonight." Kentar then shakes his head. "No, Chris, you'll probably stay in with me. In which case, you get the floor." he grins, joking of course.

Tagger keep on keeping on. The clink clink as he walks slowly becoming a quiet tap as its starting to settle on his body. To bad he will have to take it off in order to sleep. Then start the whole process over again. He walks next to Garo near the back so he can watch everybeast. Also so his metal wall will be the first to know if they are attacked from behind. He smirks as he hears they will be sleeping in an inn, "Aww. Darn. I brought my campin' gear" he taps his duffle, "Oh well. Oh well. I guess you guys will be spared from my secret breakfast delight!" he laughs.

"Well, Tagg," Amy says, "Iffen yew want t camp out doubt anybeast'll stop yew. Rest of us are gonna be in th inn where it's warm." Wilco rubs at her face and yawns. Will walks over to Kentar. "'Ow yew holdin' up, ole stoat?" he calls to his brother. The stoat seems slow and the rat isn't sure if it's just age plus the cold or something else. Slow or not the old stoat seems might determined about getting to wherever they're going.

Garolyn likes walking in the back with Tagger. It gives her a better vantage point of the group as a whole. And she gets to walk with Tagger- she cannot object to that. The ferret, too, starts to get used to the noise of the metal armour, though perhaps it takes longer for her than the otter, accustomed as she is to the regular, quiet noises of the forest. She grins, but does not comment, as Tagger talks about his special breakfast delight. Hopefully she may never actually find out what that is. She looks up at the fading light in the sky, finding herself oddly happy that it will soon be dark. Garolyn likes walking in darkness. Sleeping outside, too. She calls up front, "If ye do sleep in an inn, may I stay outside?" She does not wish to sleep inside- the enclosed walls make her uncomfortable.

Kentar blinks a little bit when he hears Tagg's protests, smirking a little. "You can sleep outside if you want. And breakfast surprise? Nah. Not tomorrow morning, please. We'll be camping quite a bit though. I think this might be the only inn around the area...though its new since we were here last." he nods. Rob takes point then, starting to lead the group through the woods, towards a large inn. Chimney standing atop the roof, smoking rising from it while lights flicker in the window. Kentar then hrms aloud as he glances to his brother's comments. "I'm fine Will. Just tired. Traveling isn't as easy for me anymore." he smiles a little bit. "Though, I don't need my cane...not yet anyway."

Tagger chuckles. His secret delight is pretty good! Oh well. More for him. He looks toward the inn as he hovers into a view and he raises an eyebrow, "That's... Odd. This thing is really out of the way" he hums as he moves the duffle from his shoulder to his paw and it makes a loud clunk. The otter ignores it as he chuckles, "Well. I've been sleeping in a tent for the last few seasons. See no reason to change now. Sides. This Inn looks downright... Creepy" he gives it a look before shrugging, "Guess its just me..."

"Sounds loike Garo's campin' out so yew may as well too if yew'd rather, Tagg, as long as yew behave yerself," Will says. "Anybeast else care if th otter an ferret sleep outside?" he asks. Amy follows the sound of the stoats with Wilco close to paw. "Can I stay out with Uncle Tagg too?" the dibbun asks yawning again. "Not tonight, Sweetling. Soon we'll all be sleepin' outside. Best t take advantage of a warm bed while we have th chance," her mother informs her, "'sides still gets cold at night in these parts."

Garolyn nods slowly. The inn does not seem pleasant. She would want either herself of Tagger inside, watching the rest of the group, but she knows that they will not be needed. Chris and Rob can take care of themselves. As can Will. But still- her sense of duty nags at her, and she is hard put to suppress it. She slows her walk as they near the place. "I do wisht to come in though- until everyone has rooms, and is settled for the night, I want to wander around the place." At least that way, even if she is sleeping outside, she can get a sense of who is inside and what kind of place this is.

"C'mon, everyone should sleep inside. Its warm, and much more comfortable. Besides! Chris is paying for the rooms." Kentar says, which of course makes his son stop and blink. "I am?" he gets a nod from his father. "Yes! Of course you are." he smirks, and Rob is unable to help a little laugh too. "Besides, we can't let the two love birds be alone! Imagine what they could get up to!" he shakes his head. "Nope, I wont have it! Into the inn, all of you!" he grins at the teasing to the 'happy couple' before he enters the nice, warm building. There's a few beasts sitting about the main room near the fire. Some are sleeping, a few empty mugs nearby, and others are still at the drinking phase. Kentar motions for everyone to take a table. "I'll get the rooms, you guys sit down." he nods, heading to the bar.

Tagger hmms as he shrugs walking up onto the porch, "I know! We could READ, while we're alone! How devious!" he snorts, turning himself so he can fit his fine self through the door, "As long as he is paying. Cant argue with that." he chuckles as he is hit with muggy warmth and he blinks, "Eck... the sooner i get this off the better" as he makes his way toward the table and claims it with his bag. He nods at some of the beasts who have begun to stare at him, "Haldo" he smiles at them. They still stare at this hunk of metal that has claimed a table.

"Yew give Tagger too much credit. They'd get in less trouble then most," Amy says as her daughter leads her to the table. The little rat takes a seat next to the otter. Will takes a seat next to Amy and sets his pack by his feet. "Hope yew don't try swimmin' in thet," Will says poking fun at Tagg again.

Garolyn, having followed the rest of the group in, albeit warily, takes the seat on the other side of Tagger. "Reading a book outside seems like fun." She mutters, not delighted that she has been asked to sleep inside. She dumps her pack on the ground by her boots and rubs her face, making her veil crinkle. She tugs at the clasp of the cloak about her neck. "Tis not just me, is it. This place is over-heated. Tagger, ye must be roasting in that metal!" She leaves the cloak on, however, adjusting her gloves and leaning her elbows on the table, entwining her claws and making a cradle for her chin to rest as she surveys the room.

Christopher grumbles for a few moments, but when his father goes to get the rooms, he figures he doesn't actually have to pay, which makes him happy. He settles down with the rest of the group, Rob doing the same, smirking a little at Garo. "Its fine, you guys are just...anti-heat or something." he nods, placing his pack down on the floor with a loud thud, his lute being carefully set against it. "Sooooooo." he glances around. Most beasts here are foxes, stoats, weasels, but there are two or three woodlanders. There's an otter, sleeping in the back, a squirrel at the bar, and a tall, hooded beast, completely hidden. Boots, long sleeves, leather gloves. Big sword next to him, and a pipe stuck from his muzzle, though his face is hidden by some convenient lack of lighting in that area.

Tagger looks around the room before ploppin in the chair with a loud clunk that causes him to chuckle, "Well. After sleeping in the snow for a season. I'm kinda used to it" he smirks as he waves a paw in front of his face, and it can already be seen small drops forming on his headfur, "I fell like some sort of furnace. Like you could smelt iron in me..." he cant wait to take this thing urf! He reaches an arm out and sits it over Garos chair, "So..." he also adds looking around the room, "Some place you guys picked. I assume one of you have been here before? Or is this some creepy random place that we decided to stay in." he says as he looks toward the beast with the sword next to him, tilting his head.

"Anti-heat?" Garolyn snorts. "Ridiculous." Her gaze wanders around the room, but lingers at the beast in the corner. He has some nice boots and gloves. But she does not like the looks of him. her guess to the question Tagger asked is no- the stoats only heard of this place, but have never been. But she could be wrong! She, herself, would never choose to stay in a place like this, but that is only her. That large sword is unsettling. You may be able to see in her eyes that she is distracted- she is going over a mental list of everything she brought, making a plan if something here goes terribly wrong.

And what does this table need? It needs some OLD. And Kentar is that old provider! He comes back with several keys, each attached to some wood that has a number in it. "Alrighto! Rob and Chris are in room five." he tosses the key to his son, but its up to you to figure out WHICH one of the two actually catch it. "Will, Amy, and Koby are in room six." he gives the key to the rats. "I'm in room seven, and in room eight, is Tagger and Garo!" he offers them their key with a grin. "Try not to make too much noise with your READING...I want to actually get some SLEEP tonight." he teases before sitting down, yawning.

Amy sits back taking in the sounds of the inn. She's quick to note Garolyn's figeting. "Thet doesn't seem fair. Stoats on two sides. Yew planed thet didn't yew?" the blind rat lightly accuses Kentar as her claw traces the carved in number on the wooden marker.

Tagger eyes the strange looking beast. But doesn't make any real conclusions about the beast... just yet. He looks over toward Garo who looks like she is doing REALLY hard math. Tagger blinks at her before also getting distracted. By the oldstoatystoat, who goes and makes assumptions. Like he always does. The otter then facepaws so hard, that the smack reverberates around the room, "Thank you for that...statement..." the otter grumbles reaching out for the key.

Garolyn is drawn from her musings by the arrival of Kentar and the keys. She listens in silence as their room number is announced. "Are there windows? I will suffocate if the rooms are as hot as this." She speaks as the key gets tossed to the stoats. She is not complaining, just wondering. As Kentar pokes at her and Tagger, she rolls her eyes. "Oh, I am sure we can be quiet. Would ye like us to read ye to sleep?"

Kentar hms and then smiles bright when she offers to read. "Sure! I haven't had anyone read to me in MANY seasons." he grins before glancing around for a moment. "SO! My room, say....before I go to bed?" he teases before laughing, shaking his head slowly. "Oh my..." Chris chuckles quietly before his dad stands, grabbing his pack. "I'll see you all tomorrow! I'm gonna go take a nap. Might not be here when I get up, so if you're not, NIGHTO." he waves over his shoulder as he heads to his room. "I haven't seen dad in such a good mood in...well. A long time."

Amy's ears perk up at the epic facepaw. "Let off, Kenty. Iffen we all keep at 'em too much they might run off, an we'd be out a walkin' sheild." Will leans an elbow on Amy's head. She's short and just the right hight when sitting to serve as an armrest. "Yew should take yer own advice sometime," he suggests to his wife. "I'm not a table," Amy protests, grimacing as Will's elbow presses against her skull. "Get off yew," she growls pushing against his arm with a paw. Wilco blinks sleepily and giggles a little at her parents. Will smiles and waves at Kentar with his free paw. "Half of wot 'e says anymore doesn't make any sense," the rat says. "Yeah," he says to Chris, "Guess 'e really needed a change of senery or somethin'." The rat turns back to Tagg and says, "It's kinda nice t be travelin' again. Last time Oi did this was probably b'fore yew was born or around thet time or maybe longer ago."

Tagger chuckles at the stoats, "How bout the story of the otter who punted a stoat across the moon? Thats always a good one" he grins, "And ill tuck you in, all nice and sweet." he flutters his eyes at the stoat before leaning back in his chair again, watching the old stoat like object leave. He watches him before looking back at Chris. Now Tagg has not said a WORD about what the old stoat talked about with him. But the bottle with the Will in it, thumps loudly in his pack. At least he thinks so. He gulps before saying with a smile, "Aye Will. I think he just needed to go out and do something..." he takes deep breath and smiles, before chuckling, "Whelp... I was born on the ship... When you guys went to pops home... What was it? Ashuran? Or something?" he blinks.

Christopher nods a little bit. "Ashura or something...yeah. Whatever it was." he chuckles a little. "I was there. Not such a great trip. But...memorable." he nods. Rob chuckles himself now. "Yeah. Well, I met my wife then, so it wasn't ALL bad." The stoats nod in agreement before leaning back in their seats. "Soooo. What do we do now? I don't think the crowd is up for any singing tonight..." Robin observes as he looks over the crowd.

William shrugs, "'Huh, Oi must 'ave been thinkin' of a different trip then. Use to Oi could remember things almost down t th day, not so much anymore. Guess Oi'm gettin' old same as Kentar." Wilco slump down in her seat, having fallen asleep. The dibbun slides down to lean against Tagg. "It was Ashurah, like th rum they sell there," Amy says, Will's arm still resting on her head. "Anyway," Will says, "Could play cards, except Oi'd bet yer as good at playin' fair as yer dad is." He glances over at his daughter. "Could head up t our rooms Oi suppose. Any ideas, Tagg?" the rat asks.

Tagger nods reaching over with his free paw to scratch the dibbun behind the ears softly, "Aye. This crowd it a little less then... lets say... Perky" he still glances around, "Eh. Not much for playing cards. Or dice. Or anything gamble-y. Though I thought of a game... later." he snorts and then shrugs, "Could talk about where we are headed. Like... Will we need to learn the language or something?" he asks the stoats, as they should now.

Christopher chuckles quietly and then shakes his head. "Nah, games are...meh right now." he then tilts his head. "What sort of game, Tagger?" he asks before ohs and shakes his head. "Nah. You guys should be fine. Its a complicated language to speak, let alone understand. We got it so easy...well, I got it so easy because dad taught it to me before English." he chuckles a bit. "So we can do the translating." Rob nods.

"So we can do the translating." Rob nods.

Tagger chuckles, "I call it Rogues and Warriors. I'm still working on it though" he nods before leaning back in his chair, "Well. I guess that's alright. I guess will make epic paw gestures or something." he chuckles, "That should be fun..." He wonders if he should mention the ship they are getting on. The otter yawns big, wiping a paw on his brow.

"An' singin' an music is out. ...... not much t do ere," Amy says, "It's already night so reason t stay up thet I kin see." Will smiles and moves his elbow from atop his wife's head. "Yew can't see much of anything, Ames," he says affectionatly. "Eh, thet doesn't mean anything," the ratwife replies. "So wot sort of place did Kentar come from?" Will asks the stoat brothers, "Think we'll 'ave much trouble along th way?" Amy seems to ignore the stoats and her husband in favor of the beast at the other end of the table. "Games are often better with refreashments," she says casually, trying to make small talk with the otter and ferret. She doubts Garo and Tagg will stay in their room with the way the ferret had been fidgeting and talking when they came in. "Why don't yew go up an get thet armour off iffen yer meltin' in et?" she asks Tagg.

The brothers shrug a little bit. "It was an evil place. Ruled by some crazy king or something." Rob says, "That was a long time ago though, and one of us have been there. Well, Kentar's never been there, and Chris hasn't been there, but I have. Just a while ago. It's not really all that bad. I mean, you have your pockets of evil, yeah, but...it really is a beautiful place. But its extremely warm. And by extremely warm, I mean, Tagger, your armor might melt." Rob smirks a bit, reaching out to pat the otter's shoulder before yawning. "Anyway, I'm headin' to bed. You coming Chris?" he asks before the younger stoat gives a nod. "Alright. But you get the floor." Rob blinks and was about to say something until the key was snatched away from him by Chris, who flees to the stairs.

William chuckles at the stoats and kisses Amy on the cheek. "Well," he says to Tagg, "Oi guess thet's our cue. Oi'll relive yew of thet," he says pointing at the sleeping Wilco. The rat streaches as he stands up. He walks over and scoops up his daughter into his arms. Coby settles against her father and mumbles in her sleep. "Don't stay up too late yew two," Will says to the young couple as he passes the dibbun off to Amy before they head off as well.

Tagger nods at the rat wife, "Oh aye. Though tis a bit late for drinkin'" he yawns again. Garo following suit. Cause yawns are contagious! Tagg chuckles, "It shouldn't be too bad once i get used to it. AND IF IT MELTS! It will be easier to carry." he snorts nodding at the stoats as they depart and then the rats as they depart, "Nighto you guys. See you on the morrow. Ill save you some delight if i can!" he snorts leaving the couple to themselves. Tagg looks over and gives her a 'come hither' look, "You thinking what I'm thinkin'?" he asks smiling devilishly, "That's right. I'm thinking it's time... to READ A BOOK!"
