First Date? Part One
Characters: Kaol, Tagger, Garolyn
Location: Ferravale: Outside the Tavern
It is not dark, but the shadows are lengthening. Leaning against the tavern walls is none other than the one nicknamed Silent Bob. His posture is slouched, making him more a regular beasts height than his normal overly tall height. He scuffles a bare foorpaw in the snow. Where on earth if Garolyn? Yeah, they were fighting earlier, but he did say he would come pick her up and show her home. And she did agree to be here. His dark mood from her news, and the argument they had after, still lingers, and it shows in the set of his face.
And just around a corner, making a lot of noise, Is the pair, heading off for their first date. Tagger, the otter, and Garolyn, the ferret, walk down the street. Together, still holding paws, as the otter semi leads her along. Then sometimes gets dragged along as she leads. Its all in good fun. He grins and chuckles, almost having a bounce to his step, "I really hope my sister isn't hanging around. She will bug us to no end! She said she would leave a week ago. But i can never tell with her..." he makes a really serious face before busting out laughing. Garo will find that he is like this a-lot. He gives her paw a little squeeze before then come into of the tavern. He glances toward the side and huhs, "Hey. Look its your brother me thinks" he points with his free paw toward Silent Bobo.
Garolyn is having a grand ol' time, laughing with Tagger and giving his paw the occasional squeeze, but she stops dead when she sees her brother, nearly causing herself to loose balance as Tagger was pulling her along. The male ferret looks up from his stare at the ground. His eyes trace Garolyn's, and then move down to her gloved paw, the one holding the otters paw. His icy eyes become glaciers. He pushes himself off the wall and comes to stand in front of them, arms crossed, glaring.
Tagger almost does lose his balance, but his rudder keeps him from flying off into the snow bank. He ergs and straightens up, fake dusting his shoulder, just about the time the brother comes to stand in front of them, and glares so much icebergs at them. Now Tagg. Being Tagg. Just grins at him and even tightens his hold of her paw. Just a tad. He doesn't glare back. Nor seems any at all upset. He figured it was coming, and even though that strange feeling in his stomach is coming back. Its just another brick wall. Though thinking of what to say has flown out his ears.
Yup. Just like that. Another very, very tall brick wall probably about 7 brick lengths thick. Silent Bob, or to give him his current name, Kaol, is very angry. Garolyn having a crush on an otter= funny. Garolyn telling Kaol she was considering asking him to dinner= less funny. The otter asking her out and her saying yes= NOT FUNNY. At all. Being the older sibling, Kaol feels he has the right, what with no parents, to say that his ferret sister cannot date an otter. But Garolyn being Garolyn, she has to go and date an otter. "What are you doing with my sister?" He asks Tagger, voice dripping with that little thing called a rhetorical question.
Tagger doesn't really like rhetorical questions. They confuse him. His head goes back when he asks. Before still smiling back at him. As he said before. Only death himself could knock the smile off him. He still holds her paw as he answers him, "Well. I think its obvious that I'm courting her!" Tagg doesn't see a problem with it. He assumes Garo doesn't have a problem with it. He looks at him. Almost. Staring at him. Almost a glaring look. But still with a smile.
Garolyn IS ok with it- but she is mad her brother has to interfere. She releases Taggers paw so she can gesture with it. Taking a step forward, she gets in the face of Kaol. She may be younger, but she is taller! "Why would ye care? Hmm? Ye have neer been involved in anything else about me. So why pick on Tagger?" Her accent, when she is mad, makes her say tagger as tagguh. Kaol spits to the side.
"Be like that, Garolyn, and ye shant be staying in my house. Ye can stay with your new /friend/." He grins horribly at her. So she punches him. Right. In. the nose. You can hear his bones break as her fist collides with his face. Blood squirts everywhere, and gushes from his broken snout. He snarls, and storms off, not having the guts to punch her back. Dont mess with the mercenary ferret. Garolyn seems to have nothing to say about destroying her brothers face- she turns on her heel, and gives Tagger a quick hug before walking off. "Ill be back shortly." She whispers to the otter. Probably off to secure a few things from her brother.
