Failed Kidnapping Attempt!

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

RW Abbey: Library

The library is disturbingly empty of books and scrolls, and only a small fraction of the knowledge it should be able to hold is actually present and available for perusing. The beautifully crafted windows are well cleaned. Giving the library plenty of light during the daylight hours. This, combined with the room's high vaulted ceiling, causes a rather foreboding play of shadows in the corners and between shelves. The flagstones of the floor are cool and smooth, and echoes of clicks and thumps can be heard quite clearly when beasts walk among the mostly bare shelves. Brass lamps containing short, fat little white candles provide enough light for reading.

Long beams of sunlight stream in through those windows that are not covered over, giving the entire room a light and cheerful feel.

Feisty is sitting near other beasts, looking tense and angry.

Scioto is up here, staying close to the door, He doesn’t say much and waits to see if this works or not.

Flicktail Glances to Feisty but remains quiet as well moving across from Scioto.

Muenster Slips into the room, he has a thick cloak on, he keeps his head down and the hood on, he looks back and forth and steps in further as his ears pick up movements and sounds, he is looking for someone and so far has had no luck.

Dust is near Flicktail, clutching his quarterstaff and waiting to see what happens.

Scioto glances over at the entry and tilts his head; he stays where he is for now and doesn’t move.

Flicktail watches in silence and solace as he puts a reassuring paw on Dust's shoulder.

Muenster enters further, upon seeing all the beasts he growls low, he has a blade hidden under his cloak and starts to back out of the large room.

Kao walks into the room, his cloak trailing behind him and always veiling his face from the outside world, in a sinister draw he speaks with a hint of laughter. "I have arrived master"

he kneels before Muenster. "As you would have it"

Scioto blinks as he looks at the cloaked beast and the other beast that seems to know, he studies the cloaked Muenster and narrows his eyes.

Feisty suddenly smells something on the air, and looks around, still sniffing the air. “‘Old on...What in the..."

Flicktail's ears perk as he moves smoothly forward.

Muenster growls, and turns to bolt, he stops as he sees Kao and growls "Out of my way you foolish beast!", He goes to slam him into the wall and bolt downstairs way from all the beasts.

Kao steps off to the side and watches Muenster curiously, as if he's waiting for something. "As you wish, Muenster"

Dust levels his quarterstaff "Come on, stop him!” He moves to chase Muenster .

Scioto glares at Kao, "You know him..someone grab him!" He points at Kao and goes to follow Muenster.

Flicktail Calls to a Guard :Detail that Squirrel" as he head after The fox himself .

Feisty charges Kao, ready to box him to nothingness. He moves to grab him by the throat.

Kao drops a pellet of powered smoke and disappears, although it seems as if he made a slight mistake as it does not cover Muenster's exit, but only his.

--Old Office Room in the upper Floor of the Abbey--

Muenster enters the room, his main thing to hid, he pants and slowly turns around to look around the room; he can most likely full way see who is in here.

Oz nods as he listens to Benar, at the sound of the panting he quickly turns around and sees Muenster, his eyes narrow now.

Benar looks up as the door opens expecting good news, what he is not expecting is to see Muenster charge in through the door. "What the.. how did he get up here!"

Muenster looks at the badger and smirks, he glances at Benar and notices the clothing, he smiles coldly, "Hello..I am Muenster.”, He moves rather quickly to go and slip behind Benar and grab him from behind looking to use him to get out of here and gain a captive worth something big.

Dust sees muenster and rushes him, quarterstaff at the ready.

Kao is running about around the room, in hopes of not being caught, as he darts strange black dots appear on the wall, he appears to be a bit of a panic. He fires off another smoke pellet and retreats into the darkness.

Flicktail is close behind Muenster as he enters the room "And I am Flicktail T Fox Champion of this Abbey, lay down your weapons, villain, and you will be fairly treated, otherwise you will face my blade!"

Dust strikes out at Muenster with his staff, yelling. "LET HIM GO, FOX!!”

Oz watches Muenster closely as Muenster goes near Benar a deep growl comes from his throat.

Feisty advances on Muenster. "Ah'll geeve ye a beatin' ye will nae soon faerget, scumbag."

Benar is frozen for a moment when Muenster moves under Oz's surprised guard so quickly and gets hold of him, he shifts the small kitten from both arms to just one. "Sir... I would kindly ask you to let go of me.", He jabs an elbow expertly into Muenster's stomach and then half turns to raise his knee, squarely driving it into the fox's gut before hopping back and behind his Badger Father. "This is really most inconsiderate of you Muenster, please surrender and you will not be harmed."

A staff comes out the smoke and whacks an abbey guard unconscious, the staff continues to whack at the air, in hopes of hitting something.

A little tardy to the warm welcome being given to Muenster, a hooded otter wielding a longbow comes from the stairs, arrow loosely nocked on the string. His head swivels to observe the situation, noting the guard being taken out and pointing his bow in that general direction.

Muenster starts to place his sword at the abbots neck when he gets the surprise of his life, he was not expecting to be elbowed or get a knee to the chest, he lets go of Benar which enables him to get loose from the fox easier, he drops to his knees and coughs and gets his breath, he growls low and looks at all the beasts in the room. He smiles coldly after getting his breath back, "I..surrender to NO ONE! “, He goes to run as a guard gets in his way, he knocks them out and goes to make it to the door.

The bow strikes true and you hear an "OW, I be 'urtin bad.....You will PAY FOR THIS!". You hear the swoop of a cloak and when the smoke finally clears, he is gone.

Feisty charges after Muenster, yelling "Haway tae braw! DEATH!"

Where Kao was you see a pool of what looks like Black Ink or something.

Oz makes sure Benar and the kitten is behind him and makes sure four otter guards stay in front of Benar and the kitten as he steps towards Muenster, "You’re not leaving not easily fox.., "His tone has anger in it.

Feisty draws his claymore sword and holds it in a fighting stance, its deadly point leveled at Muenster.

Flicktail moves to slice at Muenster with his sword but with all the beasts in the room it is hard not to hit friend, still she tries to give Muenster a GOOD cut at least.

Tristan nocks another arrow to his bowstring, holding it loosely, ready to fire in an instant.

The door would not be a good choice for trying to run back out of right now, there are just too many beasts in front of it and Muenster's exit. There is however a rather useful window out onto the sloped roof of the main cloister. That would make a good exit point if anyone was seeking it. Benar is staying put behind the Badger and his Guards, the smoke pellets were peculiar but he's concentrating on stopping the mewling kitten from crying.

Oak runs into the room, having heard all the commotion. "What 'tis going' on in 'ere?" he looks around. "A fight?...can I go get 'me bow?"

Flicktail exclaims, "Oak! Get your bow and cover the outside Shoot that fox if he gets out!"

Muenster glances over at the kitten and growls as he can't get to it, he looks to the door and manages to shove a guard out of the way, a cut is now see on his shoulder. A mouse guard gets in front of him and he is sliced at the side, He growls low and backs up as he is blocked and makes it to a window and goes to get out that way. He almost falls but manages to barely make it along the edge and down a drainpipe, but it breaks and he falls and hurts his leg, he limps towards the entry in clear pain.

RW Abbey: Entry

You stand on a grassy sward between two cottages. To the south you see a small, calm pond. To the north lies an open space where the Abbey has its feasts in the warmer seasons. To the east is the Great Hall, a massive structure that rises far above the abbey walls and is completed with large towers that pierce upwards into the sky. The main building is completed with a large, iron banded door that would allow one into the Great Hall.

The blanket of snow is replaced with the vibrant greens of spring. Newly sprung flowers and young shoots dot the path. They hold a promise of color and enhancement. The earth is relatively dry here, and the soil rich for growing, but muddy patches of dirt still can be found. Many Abbeybeasts can be seen tending to the gardens, though some are content with just being out and about, enjoying the warmth of the virgin sun and the pleasent weather. Dirt pawprints are tracked upon the clearing's surface, serving as witness to the fact that the majority of Abbeybeasts are caught up in the "spring fever." Most will do just about anything, or make any excuse to be outside, eager to watch as spring colors emerge in scraggly clumps.

Feisty is running behind Muenster now, swinging a blade.

Dust is near the other beasts.

Muenster has an injured shoulder and tries to get to the entry to get away, it is dark and starts to snow now, and the wind is blowing the snow everywhere, he limps as his leg pours blood and may be broken somewhere.

Redfang is under an oak tree across from the gate, waiting for his boss to come back with his two captives. He's twirling his sword experimentally when he hears a noise. He looks up to see a few beasts running towards him, namely his fox employer.

Oz manages to find the fox and catch up to him, he narrows his eyes and is starting to get angrier. ,"You will halt where you are fox and not go another step."

Dust is next to Oz, and still twirling his staff.

Flicktail arrives with a flourish "AHA! Muenster, I have you NOW!”

Tristan is trailing behind Oz, and stops near him to casually pull the arrow back to his cheek, centering the point on the fox, willing himself not to just shoot him outright. The figure of Redfang goes unseen by him in the darkness.

Feisty advances on Muenster, ready to carve him to shreds.

Muenster is limping as he hurt his leg in the fall from his window escape, he growls and looks between the beasts, he draws his sword, using the darkness and snow to help him.

Oz steps in front of Muenster and narrows his eyes, "Give up and maybe you won’t be hurt. “. He tries to stay calm but is staring to fail.

Redfang rushes to help his boss, if only so he can save the beast that pays him. As he sees what he's up against, he falters slightly, his gaze falling on the badger and the highland squirrel. Even still, he holds his sword at the ready.

Muenster catches sight of Redfang and looks back at the others, he goes to slice at anyone in his way.

Dust doesn't care about slicing, he advances on muenster, preparing to strike.

Tristan curses lightly as the beasts advancing on Muenster block his shot. He tries to get an angle on either one of them frustrated.

Flicktail exclaims, "Tristan! To the wall Ya kin get shots from there!"

Oz goes to block the exit from the entry and he keeps an eye on Muenster, ready to charge and attack if need be.

Redfang moves to block Dust's strike at Muenster. Despite his disheveled appearance, he's a good sword's beast, and manages to block the strike, moving to swing at him after that.

Dust spins his staff in a flurry of strikes, battering at Redfang.

Muenster watches all the beasts and backs up, he turns and looks at the badger and then the others as the snow starts to come down harder and the wind blows it is swirls in the still dark night, "Your all fools, ya may of won this round but I will be back, and you will all quake in fear!"

Flicktail tries to cut off one of Redfang's ears with Martin's Blade.

Feisty charges Muenster, swinging his sword around him.

Oak fires at Muenster again, but he trips over a rock.

Oz keeps focused on the fox Muenster, he doesn’t let the snow bother him and stays in front of Muenster, he is blocking the only way out.

Tristan mutters something about 'not enough time, to Flick's suggestion, and thinking Redfang is pretty well dealt with, attempts to take down Muenster while he's dealing with Feisty, releasing a shaft towards the fox's leg.

Redfang yelps and ducks, Flicktail's blade shearing off a few longer hairs. He takes a solid hit in the arm from dust and backs off a little, but slices and him, following up with a thrust at Flicktail. It bothers him a little that his boss seems to be already running, leaving him on his own.

Oak walks off. "I'm out of arrows"

Muenster gets an arrow to the leg and almost falls backwards, he balances himself and rushes at a hare guard and knocks him out, the unconious hare is throw at Oz, hey it’s one way to clear his path to escape.

Flicktail exclaims, "Ozer look out!"

Feisty suddenly attempts a slash across Muenster back.

Dust strikes at Redfang's head, then his side, then his arm.

Oz is surprised as he is knocked sideways by the hare, he shakes his head and growls at the evil fox now and looks ready to chase him if he gets to the road.

Muenster uses the brief opening and dashes out best he can injured.

Tristan sees the opening made by Dust's attacks and fires another arrow at Redfang. If can't get Muenster he'll get his ally.

Redfang is more than a little astonished by Dust's unyielding attacks, and does his best to dodge the blows, taking a hit in his arm that makes it go numb momentarily. He yells curses at his boss as he runs away, leaving him to die. He slashes wildly at Dust, still yelling. His threats and profanity is suddenly cut off as the otter's arrow pierces his throat, a red mist appearing before him. He drops his sword and falls to his knees, mumbling a few things before collapsing to the snowy ground beneath him.

Dust looks at Redfang, stunned. He's never killed before...never really thought about what would happen.

Letting his bow fall to his side, Tristan walks over to look at the ferret he's just killed. There is no sign of regret or remorse in his eyes, just a cold look as he crouches by the corpse.

Dust's staff clatters to the ground, forgotten. His paws fall limp to his sides.

Tristan looks up at Dust, "You okay kid?" he doesn’t wait for an answer, going back to looking over the body. He pauses as he sees the belt buckle, the intricate swimming otter. He recognizes it. After a few seconds his removes the belt, taking the empty scabbard from it and flinging it away, throwing the belt over his shoulder. If it weren't so dark, you could see tears running down his face. He looks back to Dust.

Dust hangs his head. "Never...thought...."

Tristan steps closer to Dust, placing a paw on his shoulder, "If you don't plan on killing anyone, don't carry a weapon," . He says, glancing at Dust's discarded staff. He voice is wavering, and he keeps his speech to a minimum.

Dust nods slowly. "Never meant to...."

Tristan wipes a paw across his eyes, looking down the road towards where the fight is no doubt continuing. "Get on back in the abbey, I'm gonna see what I can do to help.", He says, without much conviction. He checks his bow string briefly, glances again at Redfang's body, and sets off down the road, walking silently, placing one foot in front of the other slowly.

Dust walks back to the abbey, dreamlike

.

Grassland

Here there are the remainders of a once well-used fire pit, though now several new plants spring up from the charred blackness of the ashes. Once again the Phoenix of life brings back something from the dead, though in the air a burnt tinged just flees your sense of smell. More overpowering is actually the grasslands, the musky scent of vegetation filling the air. Now deep enough in the grasslands to have no actual landmarks to go by, the sun or stars is the only sense of anything pertaining to movement. Farther and farther the fields go, as endless as they seem.

Exits: [T]oward the [R]oad, [D]eeper into the [G]rassland

Oz can run fast and even faster when he is balancing on calm and rage.

Muenster limps and goes through the grasslands, slowed by the arrow wound as the badger comes at him.

Oz growls and speeds after Muenster and goes to grab and tackle him.

Muenster tries to move but the badger manages to tackle him with ease, he rolls and tries to choke the badger.

Oz is rolled onto his back and goes to punch Muenster in the face as many times as he can.

Muenster gets out his pouch as he is punched and blood forms on his snout, he places powder in his paw.

Feisty followed the other beasts out, and is pursuing Muenster.

Muenster slices at the badger and blows the knock out powder at his face.

Flicktail exclaims, "Ozer, you arn goin wi out me!"

Oz coughs as the powder gets in his lungs and growls low, his arm and side has a slice on it and he goes to grab at the fox again when effects of the powder get to him and he passes out.

Feisty gets closer to muenster. "DIE, COWARD!"

Flicktail exclaims, "Stop being so FEISTY!", the fox tries to close with the Muenster.

Feisty uses his free paw and strikes at muenster with a strong uppercut.

Muenster growls as he looks at the beasts surround him again and raises his sword in an attempt to make sure the badger doesn’t get up, He smirks at the others. "Sorry fun ends here. ", He blocks the squirrel and looks ready to try and kill the badger unless stopped.

Flicktail's Sword interposes itself between Muenster's blade and the badger "not MY friend ye don’t!”

Feisty slashes down upon Muenster, then follows through with a swift jab with his fist.

Oz groans, but is still a bit dazed and passes back out. A ghostly shape also appears between Muenster and Oz, to help Flicktail too, mainly seen by Muenster and not anyone else. “You will soon fail Muenster.." , but disappears just as suddenly.

Feisty jabs again at Muenster, "DEATH!”

Muenster blade is stopped, he starts to swing at Flicktail a move rarely blocked, he then stops and misses Flicktail. He drops his blade and looks at the ghost, "What in hells gates!!!", He backs up and tumbles backwards, he goes to shove Feisty out of the way. "Out of my way! “, He looks scared...odd.

Flicktail stabs at Muenster.

Muenster manages to barely grab his blade and runs; he keeps running on into the woods.

---Muenster ran and hid in the woods till the guards stoped giving chase and went to find a healer willing to treat his wounds.---
