Dorkfox (An OOC Eagle Hunting Log)

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

In which Rioko the vixen meets her fate. Greed is dangerous, as she found out, much to her chagrin.

This is an OOC log. No eagles or foxies were harmed in the making of this log. Thank you for understanding ;)

This winter day was unusually cold along the coast line as harsh wind beat against the barren beach. The lone traveler moves quickly along the beach, tail wrapped tightly about her self in an effort to keep warm.

Rioko was pudgy, but not pudgy enough to be insulated against this kind of storm, especially when wearing a V shaped vest and sash for clothing.

The lone vixen moves quickly for the forest up ahead, both for a break from the wind and for the treasure of the woods. She was following the a story, not that of a fable, but that of the word of a beast who had left a stash of stolen goods out in the woods before he was caught. Stolen goods that would put the vixen into some wealth! Yes! Soon she will be rich! And wealthy enough to afford a new coat! Brrrr!

Unbeknownst to the fox, another beast has also found the hidden treasure and has decided to make it not quite so hidden. The creature is huge, and she is setting up the final touches on a table. Where she got a table is a mystery. Probably from the same place she got the woolen coat and the food. Nice, rich, fatty food. Probably like nothing this fox has ever seen. The huge creature, a female golden eagle in the prime of her life, moves into the shadows of the tree canopy and waits for some unsuspecting prey creature to appear.

It doesn't take long for the vixen to find the food. It never does. Following her nose the gluttonous beast feels her eyes bulge and her belly rumble when she stumbles upon the table. A feast fit for a king is spread out before her...with no one here to eat it!

"Well, this is curious." Paws behind her back the fox stalks around the table, peering intently at it. "I wonder where the party went that owns all this food? Why did they leave?" The fox finds a chair, sitting down and examining the feast, her stomach rumbles, "Well, who ever they are I'm sure they won't mind a few missing cookies..." she reaches forward, gobbling up a pastry...then another, and another...

Okay, so, that worked way better than the eagle thought. Tilting her head, she just stares at the fox as the vulpine eats. Riana (yes! It's Riana! What she's doing so far from her home turf is yet another mystery) decides to let the vixen eat a little more. I mean, why not let her have a last meal? She can't escape the power and speed of an adult golden eagle.

Especially not with a belly full of food! Proving herself to be a true glutton the vixen falls into a sort of trance, giggling madly as she gorges herself with pastries, cakes, and pies, unaware of the size of her belly as it becomes fuller and rounder. The fox leans across the table, stomach pushing plates aside as she reaches for a cake.

"By all that is holy! Where do these people get such food!?" She mutters to herself outloud as the cake quickly disappears. "And how often do they meet!? I need to heh heh, I need to do this again! I could steal from these people for days! If not WEEKS!"

Yes, indeed, where did Riana get all this food?? The eagle isn't divulging her secrets....other than the secret that she's watching the dorkfox. Spreading her wings, she launches herself at the vixen, talons extended as she tries to nab the vulpine.

Rioko by then is leaning back in her chair, picking her teeth clean with her claw. What little food that was not now in the vixen's gut is left simply because she would have burst if she tried to eat it all. The now very well fed and portly beast leans her head back and sighs contentedly, catching a brief glimpse of the eagle before she is snatched up.

"AIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Rioko shouts as she ducks under the table. At least as best as the plump beast can. "Get back! Go away! Go away!" The fox tries to scurry under the table to the other side to flee.

Oh, for the love of sanity. "Hold still!" Riana screeches. Grabbing hold of one edge of the table, she flips it across the clearing, demonstrating her awesome strength. "I WILL eat you, you stupid little meal!" She tries again to pin the fox down. Okay, this one does not get to say any last words. Riana is way too hungry to be dealing with this right now.

The fox lets out a panicked cry as she is pinned to the ground, both by the eagle and her engorged midriff. "Please! Wait! You...you don't want to eat me!" The fox thinks for a moment, "Yet! Yes, yet! S-see I work in a tavern! Back in the village! Plenty of food and drink to eat right? And...and you saw how I tore into that meal right? If you let me live I could be the bestest best meal you ever had or ever will have! Heck! I can even send beasts out here for you to eat! But I can't do that if I'm dead...r-right!" The pleading vixen whimpers.

"Oh, shut up." Riana grumps. "I haven't eaten in 3 days! 3 FREAKING DAYS!! Good-bye." She goes to quickly dispatch the unfortunate vixen. Wellp. That happened.

"No wait! You don't need to eat me! You had all this f-" The fox lets out a single yipe as the eagles claw runs from her chest to her midriff, slicing open her fleshy belly like a ripe melon. Welp, that's going to leave a mark...

Riana screeches in victory! Then, after making sure that the fox is dead, she digs in like there's no tomorrow! She is STARVING. And fox is good for you, right? Right. Especially if you're an eagle.
