Cheshire is stuck in a tree with a beast-eating bird, with no way to escape. Do you think he deserves it, or no? (OOC RP)

This happened after this log: http://rwmuck.limitless.org/rwmuck/content/hey-look-ooc-eagle-hunting-lo... So, yes, this is an OOC log. No cats, eagles, or flags were actually harmed in the making of this log ;)

Riana the golden eagle. Cheshire the cat.

It's been almost 2 weeks since Riana Thunderbolt first got her pet. It's gotten kind of chilly up here in the eyrie, so if he wanted to get covered up, the cat would need to use the skins of the eagle's previous victims as blankets. She has been bringing him fruit, and bread that she's gotten from some mysterious place. So far there has not been any blood on the food, but that could change any day now. The huge bird lands in the nest, ick and gore covering her beak and talons, and she starts wiping herself off with a huge flag she has laying around.

Cheshire was finding Xia's pelt to be particularly warm, and thick. He wonders if the fox had suffered a similar fate to his own before being eaten by the predatory bird. If nothing else the beast kept her 'pet' well fed, enough that his belt was growing tighter and his fur was looking sleeker, puffier. At least his ribs were no longer showing under his fur, thought Cheshire.

Wrapping himself in the fox's pelt Cheshire looks like a giant furry burrito when he sits up, sticking out his tongue in disgust. He opens [his mouth towards] the bird to chastise it for bringing unsanitary blood and gore with in 15 feet of his person, but he quickly bites his lip. His quick witted mouth is all that has kept him alive so far, it could just as easily spell his doom. "What a lovely shade of gore you found...it...high lights the color of your feathers..." The bird may also notice that there have been some...modifications to her nest while she was gone. Xia's halberd for one is wrapped to the top of the tree using various animal hides. There are several belts and garments tied from the halberd, leading down the nest itself.

Riana eyes the contraption suspiciously. "What is that? You better not be signaling for a rescue, little cat." she walk-hops (or whatever birds do) up to him and brings one of her amber eyes close to his face. "I would be greatly displeased if you were trying to escape, cat. GREATLY displeased."

The cat leans backward smiling nervously, "Me? Escape? Honestly after two weeks of knowing me do you really think anyone would care to find me? I was sacrificed as a meal to you, after all." The cat lets the fox hide drop enough to wave a paw at his contraption. "No, no. I was...just bored. I'm an inventor. I just need to, tinker, just like you need to hunt! So I decided to, uh, rearrange your decorations! They look much prettier this way. Compliments your fearsome gaze..."

Riana narrows her 'fearsome' eyes, then reaches up and yanks the halberd down. Sticking it into her nest wall on the other side of the nest, far out of his reach, she settles down near him and glares balefully. "Don't make me regret lengthening your chain, cat. What are the things you usually.....invent? Invention is where you....make new things, right?" Eagles really aren't that into making things, other than nests. They usually just KILL and DEVOUR innocent beasts wandering, minding their own business.

The cat rubs at his chin, thinking for a long moment. This could work... "I...make moving things. Things with springs, things with gears, things with...metal. You know, not that one can add to the perfect predator, but how would you like to be able to rend and tear things apart twice as fast?" Carrying his makeshift cloak with him he gestures to her claws, "I can make you a pair of metal claws, maybe even some kind of helmet. Make you very fearsome yes? I just need some leather, some swords...and brass or copper...for wiring..."

A smile had been forming upon the eagle's face, but then he asks for swords and it is instantly replaced with rage. She goes to slam her taloned foot on the cat to knock him onto his back, a sharp claw on either side of his head to force him to look her in the eye. "Do you take me for a fool, little cat?? I would never give you a sword, or any other type of weapon. Y'hear??" That last word is exclaimed in a screech.

The cat let's out a pitiful mew as he stares up at the eagle pinning him to the nest. "Ok, ok, no weapons! H-how about I make you something else? Maybe, maybe. maaaaaaaaaaybe..." His smile returns, "Maybe a vest! Yes, a lovely vest to bring out the color of your feathers! Or maybe made to intimidate your enemies...not that you really need more intimidation..."

Keeping her foot on him so he can't get up, Riana settles back down into a basically comfortable position, still looking kind of grumpy. "Why should I wear a vest, little cat? I am perfectly warm the way I am, and wouldn't it interfere with my flight patterns?" Her eyelids drop slightly, then she shakes her head and focuses back in on him, frowning.

"Oh! But its the new thing! Birds are wearing clothing now!" The cat tries to worm his way out of his captors claws, "At least where I come from at least. Sparrows wear vests, magpies wear tunics, and humming birds...well they still wear nothing. They move so fast it tends to light their garments on fire. Odd problem really. But the point is the trend is growing and you could be the one to set it here! Just think, beasts would be flocking for miles to say, wow, there goes a pretty eagle in a snazzy vest!"

Eying him with very mild shock at this outburst of words, she goes to tighten her grip on him so he can't get away as she yawns, letting him get the full power of her bad breath. "I can't tell if you're being serious or not."

The cat gulps, feeling the talons dig into his hide. There was a lot more of it these days and it was a lot more tender. "I'm just trying to help." And escape. But it was hard to make a lightning rod out of fur and spears. But maybe there was something else he could do..."Perhaps if you brought me something else to do, other than fatten up for your eventual meal, I could make you something...pretty?"

Riana has to think on this for a few minutes, but then she nods and releases him. "Tomorrow I shall bring you branches, ribbon, and cloth, and you can make a roof for you area of the nest. You get to figure out how to cut them with no tools or weapons. Don't ask me how I get them!! Now," she goes over to the far side of the nest and settles down. "I am going to sleep, so STAY QUIET, and make no noise or big movements. My wrath shall be tremendous if you should awaken me." And with that she settles down and falls asleep after a short while.

The cat nods most vigorously. Letting the bird sleep he creeps along to the other side of the nest, peering into the fox hide cloak he is wearing. It has leather made handles sewn into the inner hide, along with a few slits here and there to make it more aerodynamic.

He smiles gleefully, yes. Soon. Soon his plan would be complete and he would make this barbarian bird rue the day she kidnapped him. heh heh heh.

"Did I say that outloud? No? Good. Night! Don't let the rot worms bite!" The cat curls himself up in his makeshift parachute before falling asleep.

Ooooh, this is getting good! Thanks for reading!
