Checking On Thorn
RW Abbey: Infirmary
Several beds are lined against the red sandstone walls of the Abbey's Infirmary. An examination table, separated from the rest of the room by hanging blankets, rests against the far wall. Tucked into a small alcove is a sizeable workbench with various containers for mixing and preparing medicinal compounds. Against another wall is a desk for use by the Infirmary Keeper. A curtained off alcove behind the desk hides a locked door to the Infirmary's supplies and linens.

Leon walks in to check on Thorn and speaks with a couple novices as he does so, he then goes to Thorn, "You can nod or shake head, feel any better?" He checks her out pulse, breathing, and any burns from the hot root pepper left over.
Thorn nods as she feels a little better, she coughs a little and most of the rest of the hot root powder is off her seeing as she did have another bath this morning and before that all the cooling cloths helped get it off as well as she frowns , not liking the coughing and her throat hurts still. Her breathing is better now as is her pulse..in fact much better.
Leon smiles and gives her a mixture “Now try to drink it, it will help some more of that hot root stuff from your throat and lungs, yes it will cause more coughing but help in the long run ok?"
Thorn frowns but takes the mixture slowly and does cough some, she almost throws up in fact but manages to not as she finishes the mixture coughing some into a handkerchief that will be seriously washed, but it has helped to indeed get some stuff out, she reaches for a pad and quill pen and writes==Throat still hurts. Chest hurts less now..==. and shows it to Leon.
Leon reads the note "Well I am glad your chest feels better, as for your throat it may take a few days, just refrain from talking as there was a little damage to the inside of your throat maybe and being ill didn’t help it either I know..I did add an herb that will sooth and help heal your throat, it will just take a few days, and no talking you can use the pad and quill pen to talk as talking could cause further damage and also make healing time even longer"
Thorn pouts at this and lays the pad and quill down, crossing her arms over her chest and having a sour look on her face, she then nods slowly and relaxes the look, a more just great for me look now appears as she lays back down.
Leon says, "It will be ok Thorn, you’re lucky it could have been worse. I heard what happen and me and Dorarose both had a talk with Lillymoore, Dorarose had a longer talk with her than I did."
Thorn just nods slowly, it’s clear she hates being in the infirm but knows it’s the best place for her right now as she coughs a little and sighs softly.
Leon looks to the door and then speaks "I will be back" He returns with some luke warm broth, and some water, “Something to eat, your need to be careful what you eat, I have mentioned this to Lacota also. Basically some broth, water, maybe juice..you could have some soup with thinning, small cut vegetables maybe as well. Not too hot as will need to be slightly warm only. You can also have like apple sauce maybe or something like that." He sits it by her in case she wants to eat. "In a couple days maybe add soft foods for a while and slowly back to your regular food"
Thorn takes the food and water and slowly eats her meal and sips her water, when she is done she sits it aside and nods as she mouths a thank you to Leon.
Leon answers "Your welcome Thorn."
Thorn yawns as she decides she should just go back to sleep and does so.
Leon lets her rest and lays a blanket over her to keep her somewhat warm, but not too warm and has a novice keep an eye on her for a few hours as he goes off to update Benar on how Thorn is doing.
