Cera and Leon have a Chat

--Yeah it’s short but still good --

FV:Tavern

Outside a sign swings on a rusty creaking frame above the doorway of the tavern depicting a faded painting of what appears to be three rather rich looking skeletons slumped over a table around a black chalice, perhaps such a thing could be taken as a warning but it doesn't appear to work on the locals. The noise within on a normal day is usually heard before the door is even opened and only rises in volume when one actually steps inside.

There are the typical qualities of a tavern within, from the bar to the chairs and booths and the odd drunk who never seems to move it's the little details which encourage a patron to pay his tab if he likes his fingers. One look at some of the staff or customers might give the impression but the room is decorated to the fiercer tastes with bones, mostly skulls cropping up here and there to fill a gap on a shelf or decorating the walls above the doorways, fireplace and bar, a pair of axes joining the one over the fire with some signs that they've been yanked off to join in a fight a couple of times. Some of the comfier chairs are lined with fur and very rarely one might be found with a few pointed bits of bone to decorate the back. Despite the looks there is entertainment and fun to be had, some form of music usually played on a small stage in the corner and at least one bouncer usually tries to keep the peace while beasts gamble, drink and be merry.

A small door behind the bar leads out the back to the kitchen and cellars while one wall has been opened up in a wide arch to increase the space off into the next room where what seems to be a wooden fence with gates on either end has been set up as a fighting pit as further entertainment and something to bet over.

Leon walks into the tavern and looks around, it’s been a while since he has really been in a tavern, maybe last time he wandered around, he sits down and orders a simple meal of oatmeal with honey and some water.

Cera glances over at Leon, she has wandered from the infirm and now sits in a corner booth in the tavern, she has a half-eaten bowl of some sort of oatmeal and some milk that’s barely drank from.

Leon takes a couple drinks of water and spots Cera but stays where he is for now to finish his meal quietly.

Cera slipped out of the corner and walks slowly over to Leon and looks down, her ankle is still bandaged and she remains quiet letting him speak first.

Leon looks at Cera and nods" Hello there Cera, how are you feeling and how is the ankle?"

Cera doesn’t answer right away and finally does. " I..I..It ok, just..h..hurt little, I..I..n..not sure want to be healer and.." She frowns, "N..Not sure trust F..F..Flicktail."

Leon listens quietly as he finishes his meal and speaks, "Why do you not trust Flicktail? He is your friend and the abbey champion, he tries to be friends to most beasts and he would never hurt a beast unless he needed to and it’s up to you if you still want to be a healer and to live at the abbey, maybe you can speak to Scioto and live here in Ferravale, I could still have lessons maybe just not as often"

Cera answers trying not to stutter, "I..I..he..he killed..d..daddy, not like him..no..not at all, but..but he said daddy was evil and..and tried to hurt others,t..that true?"

Leon sighs, “Yes, your father tried to harm beasts in the abbey and Flicktail, he made threats and somehow hid weapons and had them in the abbey, said he wanted its downfall, Flicktail asked him to leave and he attacked Flicktail and the fight ended with...with the ferret dead, I am sorry."

Cera frowns "I..I am not bad, I am..am g..good..r..right?" She sounds a little worried as tears come again.."n..not want ta be alone"

Leon blinks and offers a smile “You’re not a bad beast, and you’re not alone you have friends at the abbey and as for the couple dibbuns that were mean, they will get a strict talking to by Papa Oz and your still very much welcome in the abbey. I will be here for at least today, probably leave tomorrow morning and if you decide you want to return to the abbey you can, or you can stay here...up to you, also healing lessons up to you, you can even stay with me and Dorarose, course will have to ask her if that’s alright...may sent her a message now in fact and let her know I shall return tomorrow morning and you may be with me, course that’s up to you Cera if you come with me or not"

Cera nods slowly, she then, if allowed, gives him a small hug, "T..T..Thank you Brother L..Leon..I will think on it"

Leon smiles at the hug and returns one of his own, "Your welcome. You eat breakfast and get some rest, I will be around here somewhere"

Cera nods slowly and gets some fresh oatmeal, milk, and some mixed fruit and eats her breakfast.

Leon watches Cera and drinks some water before getting up to head to the doorway.
