Brockhall - newly repaired and open for use

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

As those of you who have read the redwall books will know, if you haven't I encourage you to do so, that Brockhall is a canon area. It was the residence of a few badger over the series who were not at Salamandastron. Wikipedia is a good, but not always reliable, source of general info about such places.

Introduction aside, now to the meat of this article. Since Brockhall has been fixed up, it will now be opened for use. Due to the lack of a present group for it, I will be opening it up to whoever most adequately fulfills the requirements in my opinion. When that is done, permissions will be adjusted so they have an appropriate level of control over the rooms. Please keep in mind that it is a canon, official area that was in the books, area, not to be messed up or destroyed on a whim. This does not mean that alterations are out of the question, simply that I ask you to pass them by me or another member of the staff first, and use the books as the final reference for canon stuff. If you should feel that any requirement is too difficult to meet, please feel free to ask about it.

  • Requirements:

- There must be a badger to run the place, an NPC is fine provided that you occasionally attempt to locate a suitable player. If such a player leaves, an NPC may again be substituted until a new player is found.

- You must have a group with a minimum of 4 players other than you who are not NPCs or alts.

- You and your fellow players must be of a good species, probably a woodlander of the usual species: mouse, squirrel, badger, otter, etc. If you don't know whether your character's species qualifies, please ask.

- If possible provide a log of previous rp, in which at least 2 of the people in your group are involved.

- other unmentioned specifics "may" (probably not though) exist (please ask) since we'd like brockhall to retain some, if not most, of it's canonical nature.

  • The reasoning behing these requirements is that if you do not have a group, rp experience, etc then all you could possibly need is a home. You can build a home almost anywhere, and canon rooms are not to be used as personal possesions (ie, you may control them, but you do not own them), nor is an IC home so hard to get.
