Beware All Ye who would Enter Here....

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

It's raining outside and the shop is a mishmash of muddy footprints and slightly dripping beasts who have run into the carpenter's shop for refuge from the sudden deluge. Zocalo, the shop's all-purpose employee, is lounging behind the counter, chin propped up on his elbows, examining the small crowd and just barely making sure they aren't running off with anything. Sarnith has been AWOL the last few hours and so Z, who has apparently been living in a vermin village for a bit too long, has slacked off of his duties as salesbeast and is now pretty much ignoring anyone except those who come to him with the express purpose of buying something.

Oakenpaw Ducks in out of the rain, his large footpaws coated in mud as his large ears drip..he flicks his scutt to dry it as he grasps his constant companion, his oken staff. He glaces aroudn to see where he is..brushing off rain from his Abbey robes

And with the intrusion, comes a wail. A wail that only a wildcat can give, as Wyld launches herself from behind a pile of usless wooden garbage. She lands infront of the Rabbit, swinging a filthy wooden pike around. "You'SHALL 'not PASS!" Dramatic inhale, then, "AAAHHH!" She launches the pike at the hare, the remidents of the last victom still hanging off the weapon.

(Who's hair is that anyways?)

Apparently Zocalo is used to this. He hardly blinks as he turns to look at the new entertainment happening at the doorway. The rest of the customers in the shop, however, aren't quite used to the dramatics of the cat and turn as one, shocked that such a thing can be happening. Muttering, they back away a few steps.

Oakenpaw blinks "Wot Ho!?" the Hare back up bringing up Matilda to block the pike, and if the 2 weapons connect he will attemptto piviot against the cat's weapon to rap the rat on the shin....The Hare being well versed in fighting with his beloved staff

Unfortunately for the hare, Wyld is well versed in being a complete lunatic. As the pike was was thrown, she is well out of reach of his stick. As her pike did not meet it's intended course, she leaps behind the mountain of wooden nonsense only to reamerge, this time holding a crossbow. "OUT! OUT OUT!" She screams, and let's loose a bolt. FWOOOMP.

The customers appear to have all managed to fit into three wooden barrels at the back of the shop. Zocalo, less worried, pulls out a dirty rag and half-heartedly begins swiping at things on the countertop.

Oakenpaw Blink blinks as the arrow sprouts on Matilda (his staff) right beside his hand "Wot! Hold on here now Lad...Bad form, no killin, I am a Abbey hare..Healer beast and all I thought ya wanted a fast tumble..now need for all that

The female wildcat reloads the crossbow, taking careful aim at Oakenpa. A creepy, nasty smile crosses her cute little kitty lips. Suddently, with a spark of flint on stone, the tip of the crossbow bolt is now in FIRE. In a quiet voice, in a slow even tone she says, "The sign on the door said..." Dramatic breath, "CLOSED!" And it is clear as dew, that this cat will try to shoot the hare in the face with her flaming bolt of retail fury.

The sign said no such thing, given the fact that there are several other customers inside, but who is Zocalo to contradict Wyld? Besides, this is some of the most fun he's had all week. Now finished with the counter, he hops up on it and unabashedly watches the ensuing drama.

Oakenpaw Yells "Wait! you'll beurn the whole bloody place doesn...I be friend...cease..stop..hault...don't shoot ok?

The cat's rare warning is ignored, so she starts loosing bolts towards the hare as fast as she can load them! Good thinking on the small crowd for hiding in barrels, as some of the bolts thunk loudly as the connect with the thick wood. While Wyld attempts murder, she starts screaming a series of explitives in languages native and one that she made up herself. "WE'are'CLOSED'ya'snot'FACED'bunneh!" THUNK THUNK THUNK.

Zocalo finds an apple and starts chewing on it. It's a bit wrinkled and he has no idea how long it's been behind the counter but it tastes good anyways.

Oakenpaw Runs he is quite fast and doesn;t want to attack back, he chooses to hide behind Zocalo "WAIT

More bad news for the hare. Zocalo shaped meat shield will not stop her attack. As she pulls up her sights on the otter, she makes a small appologetic shrug before continuing her assult. "CLOSED to ninny weenie redwallin bunnehs with nibs for nibs!"

She screams, shooting the countertop, and the wall by somebody's head, then well, the wall again by somebody's head. "CLOSED MEANS CLOSED YA IJET'!" THUNK.

Zocalo sighs and scoots off the countertop, landing on the opposite side, closer to Wyld than the unfortunate hare. He turns to look at Oakenpaw then walks past Wyld to go close the door which has been left open in the process and is now allowing buckets of rain to pour into the shop.

Oakenpaw Follows close behind Zocalo "I'm sorry I'm sorry please stop shootin" helooks at Zocalo "how many them bolts she bally well got?

This /is/ a carpenter's shop full of wood. Shooting though has suddenly gotten very boreing, so she hops off her pile and chucks the crossbow at the hare. With her paws free, she draws her bone hilt sword. "I's startin to think dat you arn't fit to let live an' reproduce, considerin I shot ya, piked ya, and told ya ta GET the @#$@# out!" She smiles coldly, cleary more comfortable with stabbing. "Gunna cut off yer feet to make the shop mor' lucky!" WBAHAHAH.

Zocalo reaalllyyy wishes that Oakenpaw would stop following him around. It's not /his/ fault, after all. Hoping to avoid getting killed, Z takes the risky step of moving closer to Wyld, hoping to brush the hare off.

Oakenpaw says, "Ok Ok..I'll Bally well leave.. I thought ya was sellin stuff!"

Shrieking, Wlyd starts swinging her sword towards the hare. "I'd like ta' see ya heal your leg'less nubs you buck-toothed git!" Wyld though, clearly used to not trying as hard to murder Zoca these days, steps around him, and drives the sword towards Oakenpaw.

Zocalo clasps his paws together, closes his eyes and mouths the words 'thank you!' as WyldHeart so obviously avoids slaughtering him.

Oakenpaw is already heading for the door his staff swinning to try and rap the beast as he dodges teh sword "You Crazy nit!

The cat is clearly used to taking a beating, because well- does that need any real explanation! Until the rabbit is off the pourch and out the door, this Cat will try to kill him. And although she is young, sloppy and well, crazy- she is not without skills. To stay would mean some serious wounds, and well- the loss of feet. Dispite being wacked with the staff, she streaks forward, swinging her sword angrily.

Oakenpaw uses his staff to pole vault out the door "Ya bloody Git STOP It already Don;t wanna REALLY hurt ya

Zocalo goes back to watching, rather amused. The other customers in the shop begin to appear out of the barrels and gather around behind Zocalo, waiting for their chance to escape.

The cat slams the door closed, bolting it behind Oakenpaw. The door was closed quite hard, and something, somewhere falls of something and shatters. She turns to the otter, and stomps back towards him glancing at the other customers and saying, "Da'ya all need help wif' somthin!?"

The customers SCATTER! They hid back behind the counter, run behind the piles of wood and one ends up underneath Wyld's bed. Zocalo is left standing alone in the middle of the shop. "That went well." He says casually.

WyldHeart deflates noticably now that everyone is gone or hiding. She climbs up on the counter, and sits. The cat cradels her elbow, where the staff hit. "Stuipid rabbit /hit/me." She rubs her paws over the beginnings of a bruise, "I should' find where he lives, and set stuff on fire." Her eyes get glassy, as she day dreams, "Burnt feet are still lucky, right?"

Oakenpaw calls in "In My defence Marm..ya swung a pike at me

Noticing that the cat has sort of calmed down momentarily, the customers scramble to get out of the shop, leaving the door open behind them. The otter walks back over to it, again, waves at Oakenpaw and then closes it again. "I dunno...never considered if it mattered what condition they were in...maybe?"

Sorrlagg walks upto the doorand peeks inside

Zocalo stands in front of the door and holds it closed with his paw. He's pretty sure it's unwise to let anyone else come in right now.

WyldHeart shrugs her round shoulders. "Suppose there' is only one way to find out then!" She flashes a grin, still holding onto her elbow. "Ya wanna come with me? Two firebeasts are' always better then one!"

Oakenpaw exclaims, "You maight get thrown out lass!"

Sorrlagg looksbackand forth as he clears his voice"What goes on here?"

WyldHeart twitches an ear at the closed door's directiono, "Sounds like' he's kissin a lizard out there!" Laugh snort.

"Well...it's raining right now." Zocalo takes a glance out one of the windows. Yep, the hare is still there. Yelling things. And now there's another beast out there. "And Sarnith probably doesn't want us leaving the shop."

This news really brings a damper on Wyld's bruninating ideals. "Stupid frackin' rainwaters." Mutter mutter. She picks up the forgotton apple core, and starts picking at it, and flinging bits of rotten apple on the floor.

In order to keep everyone in Ferravale safe from all forms of WyldHeart harm, Zocalo throws the bar across the door. "Well, I think it's closing time. What do you say, Wyld?" And with his most elegant manners, he bows low and offers her his elbow to escort her somewhere else, out of the main part of the room.
