Bad snake!

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Ferravale, home of the Chieftain, in his house, actually...

Basilisk the snakey and Liam the marten. Oakenpaw the hare. Blisa the cat and Ferdinand the ferret.

It is a slow day in the Scioto household but it promises to get more exciting soon. Basil the snake rushes down the hall as fast as his scales can carry him, and they have a lot of snake to carry. Basil has grown both in length and width. His body would have trouble fitting in a wagon and always seems to have the rounded appearance that he has just ate. The fat and flabby snake looks around quickly for a hiding place. He knocks over the lamp and steals its shade, placing it on top of his head and trying his best to not look like a plump viper trying hard to look like a lamp.

Oakenpaw Knocks politely at the door.

Blisa comes tearing down the hall, hollering, "Come back here you irritating reptile!" so she can't hear the knock on the door. Ferdinand comes dashing after her, turns in a different direction, and trips over the miscreant snake's tail, yelling and falling flat on his face.

Discovered! The snake hisses in shock at the attack on his tail and tries to flee. With a lamp shade on his nose however the Basilisk only succeeds in fleeing right into a wall after running over Ferdinand. Out side another beast approaches, "Good Morning Oakenpaw." Liam waves as he greets himself, the marten is only wearing a vest today, no shirt, as they both already need tailored to fit the plump marten's appitite.

Oakenpaw asks, "well 'ello Liam" he knocks again louder "sounds like Blissa is havin' 'er exercise in there, wot do ya suppose be goin' on?"

Blisa pounces upon the unfortunate constrictor, hollering, "Why did you do it? WHY?!" Ferdinand yells as he gets run over, then half crawls, half scrambles over to the door and leans against it, having just missed the hare's knock yet again. Of course. He decides he needs some fresh air, and so opens the door, looses his balance and falls at the healer's feet. "AUGH! Oh...it'th jutht you. Hi."

Liam gets a shock at seeing ferret appear so suddenly. Clutching at his chest he breaths deeply, "Don't you know not to...great scott!" Liam cries again at seeing the snake. Of course Blisa and Ferdy told him about it but, seeing it up close and personal as it tries to flee from the kitten trying to...constrict a snake? That's a new one. "It was shiny! I'm attracted to shiny things! Ow ow ow!" Basil cries.

Oakenpaw's ears perk and he tries to charge in and grab Blissa "Blissa STOP! You could harm im! wot in th world appened!? Blissa e is yer friend" the Hare cries tryingto help teh snakey

Blisa yells like a wild thing. "He...he....HE DID THAT HORIBBLE THING!" If this wasn't such a serious situation, that exclimation would've been funny. But she looks about ready to either start crying or rip the snake's throat out. Ferdinand, for his part, just sighs with resignation and says to the marten, "We did warn you."

Liam gulps, "That...that you did..." What ever business he had here has been forggoten. Images of the fat marten being eaten by a snake now fill his mind. Basilisk for his part merely shies away from the kitten, "Basil isss sssorry. It wasss ssshiny and...if it makess you feel better...very tassty..."

Oakenpaw will hold Blissa if he can "Blissa...Please Lass...Calm down and let me elp...he did wot Horrible thing?" The hare looks worried that the snake might have killed someone. He looks at Basil "Are you ok?"

Blisa is crying hysterically. "He...he ate....it....it...belong....to.....Mama....." Ferdinand slowly stands, wincing and groaning from his now very bruised ribs. "Ow. Ow, ow ow. Pain. Thtupid thnake..."

The snake looks sheepish, if possible. Rolling his eyes the Basil replies, "Fine...I'll give it back." The snake begins to make several coughing and gagging noises until BLEH the snakes lunch intermingled with something that used to be 'shiny' come piling onto the floor. "THere...are youssss happy now?" Liam clutches at his snout and stomach turning away from the sight.

Oakenpaw sighs, he is used to such things, even if it is unpleasant "wot IS it....I could 'ave told ya I'd get it back"

Blisa doesn't answer. She just scrambles fromt eh hare's arms, picks up the thing and runs into the kitchen, sobbing as she goes to clean it. Ferdinand sighs heavily, points angrily at the snake, hissing, "In the thellar. NOW." then marches off to lock the snake in his prison for a few hours. He's even layed his paw on his sabre hilt meaningfully.

Basilisk whimpers but obeys. The snake follows Ferdinand to the thellar...er, Cellar. Liam watches the snake leave glad to see the deadly snake go.

Oakenpaw sighs "I hate seeing beasts confined...it was bad to Blissa but seems an innocent mistake"
