BIRDS....there be birds EVERYWHERE!

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Redwall Entryway

Emyuil the mouse. Zelenia the owl. DoraRose the mouse. Derean the sea otter and Diggun the mole. Lorimis the mouse. Stonebeak the sparrow.

Emyuil walks out to the entrance, his empty scabbard on his back. He just finished training by the Champion's cottage and is slightly sweaty and panting a little. He's still trying to think of a way to sneak /Nevermore/ out of the weapons storage area to the room he's claimed...

Zelenia is here, hopping along. She turns as she sees the mouse and watches him hoping over a little ways as she tilts her head, "Not...the papa" she states and puffs out as she scans the area, doing that head thing and that makes a novice run as that just is creepy, she turns back to the front now.

Along the outer area walks a rather young mole, though with him is an entourage of about five other moles. The lead mole seems to be speaking to them rather excitedly, and the others are listening rather intently. "An' we'll be doin' sum improvin' o' th' area an' general wurk. Any queshtiuns?" After several moments of silence, Diggun smiles. "Gud..then let's get aworkin'!"

DoraRose is also coming outside, and she is a mess. She is covered in dust and grime, and her dress and huge apron are patched and faded. Her fur has lost its usual healthy sheen under a layer of ick. She looks tired and sore, but happy.

"What's goin' on, 'rose?" Emyuil asks, spotting his sister. "Looks like you got dragged through Hades by a mad badger."

Zelenia looks at Dorarose, knows the mouse and hops over to her quickly hooting softly. She stops beside her and tilts her head.

Diggun and the rest of the moles beginning to walk off towards the Great Hall, and they slowly pass by DoraRose and Emyuil on their way to their goal, with Diggun proudly leading them. It seems he's really starting to enjoy his new position as Foremole.

Lorimis walks down the steps and pauses to talk to a Novice, nodding to them in passing then glancing around.

DoraRose smiles down at the owl. "Well, hello again. How are you?" She wipes her paws on her apron in a vain attempt to clean them just in case the owl wants a hug.

Zelenia tilts her head and gets a little closer to the mouse, she is unsure as the other one seems to not like her being too close, "Mama.." She says and hops up and down seeming excited.

As the moles head into the great hall, a brown furred otter comes in through the main gates rather timidly, though the timidness doesn't hit until he notices all the beasts in the open grounds. He slowly and cautiously enters the abbey grounds, looking around.

Lorimis stops at the bottom of the steps, adjusting his habit and looking around at everyone, listening to the bells ring and generally looking out across the abbey at everyone.

There's a sound of wings flapping hard, but tiredly against the windless air just as a small brown bundle slams into a bit of dirt with a poof of dust. For a moment it doesn't move, but eventually it takes shape again into a small, agitated sparrow. "Stonebeak fly far to see Sparra Loft! Not worms! Stonebeak rippa you good not tella where Sparra of Redworm is!"

DoraRose kneels down and smiles to hide her slight alarm. "Oh, I'm sorry, honey. I'm not your Mama. But I can help you find your Mama, I'm sure..." This is an...interesting experience, to say the least. She jumps with slight fright as the sparrow lands quite near her. Oh, great, another confused bird. How lovely. She has no idea the otter has entered the Abbey because she's too busy trying to think of what in the world to say.

Zelenia's eyes go wide, if that's possible for them to be any larger, and then puffs out as she is in front of Dorarose, "No hurtie the mama! I will peck!" She says to the sparrow.

Derean looks rather awkward as he beholds the confusing scene unfolding, but nevertheless, he slowly begins to make his way towards the great hall, which unfortunately requires making it past the group which includes DoraRose. It's not that he wants to avoid her because he doesn't like her. It's just...things get awkward for him when she speaks to him.

Lorimis lifts his habit and starts to walk toward DoraRose and the Sparrow. "Is everything ok here DoraRose?"

Stonebeak ruffled her feathers and glared daringly at the creatures around her, but particularly the one closest to her. "Mouseworm! Where Sparra?! Stonebeak musta see Sparra of Redworm!"

DoraRose holds out her dirt and dust covered arms out helplessly at the Abbot, then turns back to the sparrow. "They live in the loft. You can get to them through holes up there." She points to the north gable and rooftops. "Or you can enter our Great Hall and fly up there through the ceiling...I think." She now spots the sea otter and waves distractedly, looking at the little owl in a slightly askance way. "Do you think I'm your Mama?"

Zelenia puffs out to look bigger. She turns her head to the maid now, "Other mouse be papa bird" Yes she has claimed her and Leon...Joy!

Derean stops for a moment, waving awkwardly back at DoraRose before continuing on with hunched shoulders, looking very out of place and very alone.

Lorimis says, "Welcoming Stonebeak, upward in the loftum space is the Sparra of Redworm houseum..." he gestures upwards toward the roof of the house, the mouse easily settling into the accent. "You are to be being welcome unto redstone houseum."

Stonebeak squints. "You mocka Stonebeak? Stonebeak rippa mouseworm good!". She ruffles her feathers and attempts to appear somewhat imposing to Lorimis.

Zelenia can't fly away and she hops away, she needs some rest.

DoraRose watches the interesting little owl hop away, then she hops up and goes to grab Derean's arm. "I might need your help wrapping my apron around this sparrow!" she hastily whispers to him.

Derean makes a small meeping sound as DoraRose grabs him and catches him off balance. "Gah! How could I help you with something like this?!" He demands, really not feeling comfortable with being around any of these beasts.

Lorimis quirks a brow at Stonebeak, "Nosum, I not mocka Stonebeak, is Redhouse traditionum, useum Sparra-speak when talk unto Sprra. Would you to be being me to besum rude?"

Stonebeak stalks slowly towards Lorimis on her little spindly legs. "Stonebeak thinka mocka Stonebeak. Gonna rippa good.". She thrusts her beak forward a bit, taunting him.

DoraRose goes to drag the otter forward. "We'll wing it." With her other paw she unties the waist strings of her dusty, patched apron and prepares to whip the neck ties over her head and throw the cloth on the irate little bird.

Derean is dragged forward, murmuring curses at an inaudible level. "Is this really necessary right now?" He asks, desperately trying to get out of this situation by this point. "I'm really not that good with things like this!"

Lorimis backs up slowly and shakes his head, "Well I tried to be diplomatic about this Stonebeak... but really I've never met a sparrow who didn't get upset if I didn't use their language."

Stonebeak stands tall as she snaps one more time at the mouse. "Stonebeak coma far to see Sparra of Redworm. Put uppa with lotsa mocking. Stonebeak not likea mocking. Now Stonebeak wanna see Warqueen or Warking a Sparra of Redworm!"

DoraRose decides to interrupt right now. "Oi! I told you how to get up to the loft! I ain't gonna go get the Sparra leader for you; you can just fly up there yourself. Now at least pretend to be civilized or so help me, I'm gonna tie you up!" She doesn't let go of the otter's paw. She's just not going to do that right now.

Derean simply struggles as hard as he can, though the way he had been caught off guard really made it more difficult for him to do anything about the grip on his paw. "D-DoraRose, please just let go! I'm really not feelin' comfortable with all o' this right now.."

Emyuil walks back in after getting cleaned off. He blinks at the odd situation in front of him.

Stonebeak flapped her wings and turned on DoraRose. "Stonebeak hearda ya, but Stonebeak wanna see Sparra before go uppa. If Stonebeak go uppa without asaying they rippa Stonebeak good."

Lorimis says, "Well i am sorry but we have no way to call them down."

DoraRose hesitates. She'd never thought of that. "Well....um....erm...okay. Um...well...."she releases the otter's paw and scratches her head. "I....I'll go see if....um....sorry." She sits down on the wallsteps and decides that the Abbot had probably better handle it, now that they know why she was insisting on not going up.

That was my very crummy pose out. Thanks for reading! :D
