An evening Of Revenge Seeking Otters,Emtional Healers, and A fight on the Road!
This happen late at night, maybe around 10pm-12 midnight time, after the otter Drake died :(=
RW Abbey: Entry
You stand on a grassy sward between two cottages. To the south you see a small, calm pond. To the north lies an open space where the Abbey has its feasts in the warmer seasons. To the east is the Great Hall, a massive structure that rises far above the abbey walls and is completed with large towers that pierce upwards into the sky. The main building is completed with a large, iron banded door that would allow one into the Great Hall.
The blanket of snow is replaced with the vibrant greens of spring. Newly sprung flowers and young shoots dot the path. They hold a promise of color and enhancement. The earth is relatively dry here, and the soil rich for growing, but muddy patches of dirt still can be found. Many Abbeybeasts can be seen tending to the gardens, though some are content with just being out and about, enjoying the warmth of the virgin sun and the pleasent weather. Dirt pawprints are tracked upon the clearing's surface, serving as witness to the fact that the majority of Abbeybeasts are caught up in the "spring fever." Most will will do just about anything, or make any excuse to be outside, eager to watch as spring colors emerge in scraggly clumps.

Cera comes for her healer lesson with Brother Leon in the gatehouse.
Leon walks slowly out, he stares at the gates and sighs, he had sleep and now it’s evening as he speaks to a guard, "Hey..I will not be in the infirm, couple days off."
Sunbreeze walks in about this time and waves to the two.
Leon shakes his head No and frowns as he sees the otter maid.
Cera frowns, "W..Why?" she asks curious.
Sunbreeze tilts her head, "You ok thar sir mouse?"
Leon sighs, "No I am not, he died ok..some fiery red fox.." He starts to go back to his home above the gatehouse "Drake...he died." He shakes his head “I’m a failure" He then disappears into the gatehouse.
Cera frowns as she listens, she goes to say something else but Leon is already inside.
Sunbreeze mouth drops open and tears come then something else, some sort of light as she sniffs and makes a fist, "Fox..it killed him."
Cera backs up a little, "W..When did that happen, maybe we ca..can get someone ta f..find it or leave it alone"
Sunbreeze has tears on her face, a mix of depression and also hate showing, "I..I can fight, make it pay can't be that thar hard ta find a fire red fox"
Cera says, "M..Maybe you should s..s..stay in the abbey, it’s safer here"
Sunbreeze frowns, her answer clear "No, going ta find de fox"
- Cera decided to follow Sunbreeze and finds her down the dirt road south of the Abbey****
Cera walks up the road trying to find the otter maid and frowns, the guard assumed she was with Sunbreeze and let her go out, bad idea probably.
Sunbreeze is on down the road and has just found whom she was looking for and growls deeply as she pulls as her sling and places a pebble in it and swings one at this bright red fox.
Brambletooth is hit in the face and growls, he draws forth his cutlass and advances on the otter maid “Ya will pay fer that mistake river dog!”
Sunbreeze narrows her eyes, “And your pay for killing Drake”
Brambletooth smirks. “Oh, friend..mate maybe, how horrible fer you” He swings his blade at the otter maid.
Cera eyes go wide as she sees the fight and quickly ducks behind a thorn bush.
Sunbreeze sidesteps and the blade cuts her sling in two, she panics a little and finds a rock and throws it at the fox.
Brambletooth chuckles coldly and does a sweep towards her legs to knock her down and has his sword at her throat if he is successful and a foot paw on her chest.
Sunbreeze oofs as she falls and tries to get up and frowns, she struggles and this starts to cry. “You..you kill Drake, How could you monster!..He..he was my…my life..we..we was gonna have d..dibbuns and be a family, and..and now he is gone.”
Brambletooth watches and sneers down at her, “Ahhhh…the pain of loss”
Sunbreeze pants and looks up at the fox, eyes glaring
Brambletooth smirks as he looks down at the otter, "Well maybe, just maybe I can take care of that matter, take all de pain away"
Cera stays hidden in the nearby bush watching, she is not really a fighter, well yet.
Flicktail Comes down the road, and seeing the scene, comes up behind the fox, there is the sound of a blade being drawn, on the flat it reads "I am that is" and the fox growls at the back of the other fox , "Care ta try that with me matey?"
Sunbreeze frowns; she goes to kick up and blinks as she sees Flicktail come up behind the other fox.
Brambletooth chuckles dryly as he hears the other fox, and turns around, "A snow white fox, those are rare hmmm and why would a fox care if an otter dies?"
Cera makes a note where the red fox is and where Flicktail is but stays in the bush as she is not getting into the middle of a fight.
Flicktail brandishes the wickedly sharp famous blade "Leave er' be Matey...be on yer way, I protect the beasts in these woods where I have to... Sheath your blade or face me”
Sunbreeze frowns, "Be careful he has already killed one beast"
Brambletooth chuckles as he gets the foot off the otter and grins at Flicktail, "I pick, face you and will so enjoy it". He keeps his cutlass out and angled slightly as he takes a stance to fight.
Flicktail Nods and makes an incredibly swift slice at the fox's arm, the blade moves like it is much lighter then it looks
Cera frowns as she watches the fight, she makes a psst noise at Sunbreeze and frowns not wanting to be seen.
Sunbreeze looks at the ferret and decides to crawl over to where she is, "Ya should go back ta de abbey lass, shouldn’t of followed me"
Brambletooth moves slightly as the blade slices towards his arm, a bit of his tunic is cut as he glares at the fox, "Why protect a woodie fox, ya think ye would join me in getting rid of woodlanders"
Flicktail Snarls "all beasts have a right to life, even you if you sheath yer blade now...I am The Champion o Redwall Abbey and this beast is my friend' he try's a thrust at the fox...the white fox is very good it would seem "I never knew a full belly and warm night till I became a good beast..Surrender now” He tries to press the attack.
Cera frowns at Sunbreeze, "D..d..dint wanna s..see you do something d..dangerous and neither would..D..Drake,r..r..revenge is bad"
Brambletooth chuckles, "Full belly, if ya know how ta hunt ya will" The blade cuts into his paw some as he growls and shoves Flicktail away or tries to at least, "I don’t surrender!"
Sunbreeze sniffs and frowns, she looks at the fighting beasts and back to Cera, "B..but he." she frowns deeply and closes her eyes as she wishes to just block out everything.
Flicktail reverses his slide trying to slice the other fox's side.
Cera looks at the otter and sighs, she looks to the fight not sure what else to do.
Brambletooth spins and kicks at Flicktail’s knee, the blade misses his side but cuts deeply into his long bushy tail as he howls in pain, his eyes so rage as he goes to take his blade in both paws and stab downwards towards the fox's neck.
Sunbreeze opens one eye to see whom is winning.
Flicktail dodges to the side but Yelps n pain as the cutlets digs deeply into the white fox's shoulder...Flicktail wings the sword with his hood paw the flat of the blade aimed at the red fox's knee
Cera gasps as the blade sinks into Flicktail’s shoulder, she starts to run forwards and stops knowing it’s a bad idea.
Brambletooth growls, his tail is cut off as he is hit with the blade flat on the knee and goes to shove the other fox sideways so he can bolt away, he looks at the ferret dibbun but has other matters, like getting aid for whats left of his tail, luckily he has a campfire not too far away.
Sunbreeze frowns, she is unsure whether to go forward or not, she watches the direction he leaves and decides to find him later and looks over at Flicktail and Cera.
Flicktail Pants on one knee, he still holds his blade but his left shoulder is bleeding heavily, not critical but he is losing blood on his white fur.
Cera goes to Flicktail and frowns as she has nothing to really hold on the wound, she takes off her cloak and presses it to the wound real tightly.
Sunbreeze sighs and slowly heads over, still unsure but hates to see him wounded either, "Need...help sir fox?"
Flicktail Yips in pain as the cloak is pressed, but it does at least slow the bleeding, his eyes shine with pride in Cera as he looks up. "M...my daughter is helping me..are..ya alright?" He pants
Cera frowns at the blood, "Y..You need other h..help" she sees a sparrow and tells it to go to the abbey for help. It nods and flies off.
Sunbreeze nods slowly, "Yeah but...someone needs to go after the red fox"
Flicktail says, "We will get him" He pants "Later, e's wounded....Cera...do..do you know wot to do with this cut?"
Cera frowns, "H..hold pressure..and....I...I can’t s...sew.s.....sorry" .she stutters a little scared maybe.
Sunbreeze makes a fist, but relaxes it, she nods slowly and goes to help the fox if needed, "Can ya walk or best to stay here?"
Leon walks down the road at a quick pace , he had to be pulled from bed where he has been most of the day, he mutters, "What can I do?"
Flicktail smiles to Cera and whispers to her "I'll be alright" He looks up "I feels a bit...dizzy" Despite Cera holding pressure on his left shoulder blood flows around her bunched up cloak.
Cera tries to hold more pressure on the wound best she can to slow the bleeding more and tries to stay calm.
Sunbreeze frowns" Ya losing more blood thar, not a good thing"
Leon gets closer and stiffens a little, he frowns at the blood and at first seems to want to just go back home but he stays, taking a deep breath and forces himself into healer mode as he gets out cayenne, it helps slow bleeding also and a needle and thread, he speaks, "Still need..pressure here" He points to an area above the wound, "Will help it slow a , a lot while I..I sew."
Flicktail sits by a tree, the sword across his lap and looks up "Leon?' , He says a bit confused and then smiles slowly, "Sorry to...mess up yer day" He looks at Sunbreeze, "you...ok?
Cera holds pressure where showed but is a little shaky, but manages.
Sunbreeze helps to form a pressure area and keeps quiet when the fox questions her.
Leon nods slowly, he applies the cayenne herb which may burn but it slows bleeding and even helps possible swelling, he makes sure the area is clean first and is careful as he sews with speed but also detailed stiches where they are needed, first one set and then another focused on his work and nothing else, he frowns a little as he pays close attention to making sure the wound will close and heal correctly.
Flicktail yelps each time that needle sticks him "Hey cheer up some...I'm...ok..really...I wish..I could have been..sooner
Cera watches as the wound is sewed, she wants to learn even if she is a little uneasy around the blood loss.
Leon says nothing, then speaks as he is close to done, "Sorry didn’t numb it, been..bad day" He says softly, well too late to really numb it as he is just about finished, he then is finished and wipes away some lose blood, he frowns and looks for herbs that fight infection and swelling and places them on the wound and carefully bandages it "You..need stay infirm few days..Flicky.." Tears go down his face as he tends to his friend, " C..can’t have you..d..die on me"
Sunbreeze frowns "You did...for me, you saved me sir fox and maybe the young one too."
Flicktail looks at Leon "I'm..not gonna die..." The fox really doesn't know why they are so upset, "Cera me daughter...and I am supposed to help Mrs. Sunbreeze..Leon..wot's wrong?”
Cera stays by Flicktail’s side and gently hugs him.
Leon breaths in and out slowly, he tends to the wound making sure the bandage is on good "Any other wounds and just..just don’t want to fail or one time be..too late to help...now any other wounds?" He sounds serious.
Flicktail says, "No Leon....Leon..please tells me wot's wrong”, He slips one arm around Cera, and looks over to Sunbreeze.
Sunbreeze stands as she is not needed to help now and stands up "We should go to the abbey, the fiery fox will be back" She sighs and then goes to help Flicktail to walk to the abbey slowly.
Leon sighs, he nods at the answer, "Yeah, back to the abbey before anything else happens."
Flicktail says, "He won't be back so soon, I nearly cut off is tail" He stands with Cera and Sunbreeze’s help.
Cera looks between them and towards where the abbey is, "Yeah..going to get darker soon, dark not good"
Leon nods "I just don’t want to see anyone die...not again"
RW Abbey: Infirmary
Several beds are lined against the red sandstone walls of the Abbey's Infirmary. An examination table, separated from the rest of the room by hanging blankets, rests against the far wall. Tucked into a small alcove is a sizeable workbench with various containers for mixing and preparing medicinal compounds. Against another wall is a desk for use by the Infirmary Keeper. A curtained off alcove behind the desk hides a locked door to the Infirmary's supplies and linens.
Exits: Infirmary [Rec]overy Room, [H]ealer's [D]ormitory, [O]pen [G]round, [Hall]
Cera helps Flicktail inside and a novice even takes the sword, she watches as the otter leaves shortly after helping them inside and manages to led Flicktail to a bed.
Flicktail asks, "Are you gonna take care of me while I heal Cera?"
Leon makes sure Flicktail is ok and sighs, "Cera can stay, if she needs help she...she knows where I am, just need to keep an eye on the wound, keep clean bandages on and that sort of thing"
Flicktail says, "Well Leon, when ya feel like talking I ave 2 good ears"
Cera nods "I will stay..just so the otter don’t leave again, she wanted to find that bad fox"
Flicktail says, "oh I will find the Bad Fox and make him stop being bad, when I am well"
Leon glares at Flicktail "Yes when your well, you are not going to go and die on me, I cannot take it..I would hate it" He takes a couple deep breaths "S..sorry outburst just..just tried" He sits down.
Cera whimpers a little at the loud voice and ducks down by the bed where Flicktail is.
Flicktail says, "I promises Leon..I promises......he cuddles Cera some "It's Ok Leon...every beast is entitles"
Leon shakes his head, "I..I try, and I found out can’t save everyone and..makes me worry will fail someone important"
Cera just listens unsure of Leon right now.
Flicktail says, "Leon, You are not the beast from the Dark Forrest, all go sometime but Not for me right now"
Leon looks ready to, well it’s unclear, "I am su..supposed to prevent it, stop death I am a healer!"
Flicktail says, "no Leon, yer supposed to help beasts, that’s all any beast kin do"
Cera climbs up on one of the beds and lays down
Flicktail lays next to Cera, "You ok?”
Leon sighs, "I was not..quick enough, and a beast died, a beast...look I need to check on Dorarose ok, excuse me" He heads out fighting back tears.
Cera nods "Just..don’t like shouting and..stuff" she watches Leon head out and frowns.
Flicktail lets him go and strokes Cera's fur
Cera says , "He..he upset cause..s..some beast d..died"
Flicktail nods "aye that upsets me too...but it is part of life”
Cera asks, "w..why can’t healers save every beast?"
Flicktail says, "well because if you lived forever, you would not value yer life"
Cera looks confused and looks at Flicktail "You gonna stay around a long long times" she asks slowly, she achally doesn’t stutter.
Flicktail nods "aye Lass, I promises how I could ever leave you?”
Cera nods, "Can't look another d..daddy"
Flicktail says, "well I won't make ya do that"
Cera hugs him close and yawns a litte as she is tried, "I w..will stay here u..unless chased off"
Flicktail says, "no you kin stay, I like ya being here"
Cera nods "M..Mr. Leon seemed ok with it..think papa Oz will care?"
Flicktail says, "I will tell Papa Oz it is ok, yer my daughter"
Cera nods and falls asleep beside him.
